I`m ARGENTINIAN and for what i see you are very missed in your opinion.
The level of democracy in my country is higher than ever.

Everyone has it`s health care plan, even homeless or people without a job.

The kids that don`t have the best economic possition have a right to perceive from our state a subsidy to study and get their neccesities fullfiled unless they live school, so we have an alphabetization rate of the 95 percent of those kids in scholar age.

The main media that were owned by a monopoly( Clarin, La Nacion, that were supported by the extreme right in our country, the IMF and many US politicians and many European politicians also, who had finnancial interests here) was divided by the parliament so every minor media can be competitive in their access to paper that is a substancial commodity for them to produce competitive and democratic information media trough newspapers, a law that no other politician had the guts to do, because they were facing a bloody attack by this meida rulers.

The people that are retired get 2 salary increaes by law during every fiscal year, so they never loss the competitive salary they already have.

The companies that mine our resources have to get their benefits in our country and not in any fiscal paradise, so the people have the control of our economic balance.

Antiterrorists law
Media law.
We set to prison the militars that killed and vanished 30.000 argentinians during the Massera - Videla government, that was supported by many developed (? really developed?) countries like the EE.UU and their UK allies, which also got involved in the Malvinas War, selling via Chile, obsolet weaponry and ammo.

The educational system is free, and has the higher rate salary in the whole Mercosur.

And so on,

VERY VERY FAR FROM A DICTATORSHIP, UNLESS YOU ONLY LISTEN TO YOUR MASTER`S VIEW.

Just a few facts for the idiots on this thread
I believe the first recorded Genocide was the massacre of Jewish children by Pharaoh. Then the massacre of Canaanites by the ancient Israelites.

Most Native Americans were killed by diseases brought from the old world.

The policies the US pursued towards native peoples were quite similar to policies carried out by the British in Canada and Australia.

Geographic proximity means nothing when considering sovereignty. If it did Alaska would be part of Canada or all of Canada would be part of America from its founding. What does matter is the will of the people currently residing in the disputed territory.

Cuba has never actually possessed sovereignty of Guantanamo Bay. Cuba was part of Spain until 1898 and as part of Cuba gaining independence Guantanamo Bay was leased to the United States.

The Monroe Doctrine could be applied as the settlement of the Falklands by a European power was conduct after the announcement of the policy.

Who says that people living in Malvinas want to belong to the UK?
Who asked them?

The Falkland Islanders have repeatedly expressed their desire to remain British.

Representatives again expressed this wish earlier this year during a visit to the UN.

“The democratically elected representatives of the Falkland Islands once again expressed their own views clearly when they visited the United Nations for this year’s debate in the Special Committee of 24. They asked the Committee to recognise that self-determination is a universal human right, and respect for this principle is enshrined in the UN Charter as one of purposes this Organisation. They made clear they, like any other people, are entitled to exercise the right of self-determination. They reiterated the historical facts that the Falkland Islands had no indigenous people and that no civilian population was removed prior to their people settling on the Islands over 178 years ago. They confirmed that they are and have been the only people of the Falkland Islands, and they did not wish for any change in the status of the Islands. They lamented the measures adopted by the Republic of Argentina that unlawfully aim to limit both their transport links and their access to open and free trade

en.mercopress.com...

The interests of the UK are not negotiable? And people freedom isn`t negotiable?

As long as the islanders wish to remain British they will.
That is non-negotiable.
End of story.

I am sure you are aware of the 'Right to Self-Determination' as outlined in the United Nations Charter.

Chapter 1, Article 1, part 2 states that purpose of the UN Charter is: "To develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples, and to take other appropriate measures to strengthen universal peace."
Article 1 in both the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR)[14] and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR).[15] Both read: "All peoples have the right of self-determination. By virtue of that right they freely determine their political status and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural development."

Who gave you the right to stablish colonies all around the world? Did you asked the people living in your colonies before attacking and occupying them if they wanted to became British?

Is that the same right as Spain had when colonising more or less the whole of Central and South America wreaking wholescale devestation upon the indiginous people.
Spain took extortion and brutality to a level far exceeding anything The British Empire ever committed.

I hope you see the irony of South American countries whinging about 'colonialism' when they are a direct result of colonialism themselves.
If European countries hadn't practiced 'colonialism' then Argentina simply wouldn't exist.

The UK history of colonizations around the world shows us that they always took what they wanted, they never took care of the people living in their colonies unless their resources demand that.

Until very recently that was simply the way of the world.
Look at The Persian Empire.
The Mongols.
The Mayas.
The Incas.
The Aztecs.
The list is very long.
They all built their empires by brutally defeating their neighbours and enemies.

The British were simply exceptionally efficient in administrating their empire and in trading assets - vital in any functional organisation.

They colonized our global economy with the bank system, their ^FAIR TRADE^ economic and political maneuvers around the world, who gave them the right to consider what is good for other people?

To blame the UK solely for all of the world's current problems is simplistic and naive to the extreme.
And the vast majority of Argentina's domestic problems has nothing to do with anything or anyone else other than Argentina itself.
You have had 180 years to right whatever wrongs there are etc....that you have failed miserably is your own fault and responsibility.
But as usual, it is far easier to blame someone else.
Yet again you fall for the deflection tactics of an egotistical politician who has promoted The Falklands issue rather than addressing Argentina's many serious domestic issues.

You'd be better off asking Kirchner why she turned down the UK's very generous offer of an equal share of all mineral deposits.

MALVINAS ARE ARGENTINIAN AND ALWAYS

No they aren't, never have been and never will be!

Some questions to the op
1)Who says that people living in Malvinas want to belong to the UK?
2)Who asked them?
3)Which one of them had lives there since the island was there?

1) The people who live in the Falkland Islands say they want to belong to the UK!

2) The UN, the UK government and the Argentinian government!

3) The people who live there are descendants from the first settlers who have owned the Islands since before the Argentinian country existed.

:-)

Listen pal, the Falklands will always be British, you tried to change this by invading.. remember?

Try it again and the result will be the same..... YOU WILL LOSE!

The USA will not and cannot do anything about the Falkland Islands!

The people who live there will decide their own future, that is the end of the matter!

You really do think the USA can dictate to us British people don't you...

The reality is they cannot, if they try then think of all the bases around the world they currently use; they are using them because we allow them to.

At the end of the day, the people who live in the Falklands will decide their own future; if any one has a problem with that then us British people will sort it out!

British banana republic is dependent on the goodwill of the USA.If we like we could destroy you in seconds and you won't be able retaliate as your missiles and all equipment is made in USA.

No, all our "missiles and equipment" are not made in the USA. What a retarded thing to say, but then, I am not surprised coming from soemone who, so far, has displayed such a profound failure to understand pretty much anything about the Falklands, history or international law.

Whilst the USA is powerful, they couldn't destroy us "in seconds" any more than we could them without the use of nukes, in which case both sides lose.

Trident missiles have IFF now, do they? Whatever dude.. And is that all you have for you grand and mornic statement "ALL our missiles and equipment are made in the US", because they are not.

It's a total myth that the UK either needs US permission to launch or that the US can deactivate the missiles..

At any rate, we make our own warheads for the nukes and can simply put some on some Stormshadows if the Tridents mysteriously stop working.....

There are sub-launched versions and the UK currently has the most advanced Submarine in the world. Failing that, we can use Taranis. All of which proves that your original statement is rubbish.

And about the Trident "IFF". You do of course know what IFF is, don't you?

At any rate, this argument is pointless (because such a war would never happen) and is merely for you to rub your ego and make yourself feel like your important and part of something great, when in reality it is merely that you have nothing else to offer the debate and are merely trolling.

The US would never attack the UK over the Falklands and would never back a South American attack on the islands either.

IFF is identification friend or foe. Those Codes for Trident are US made.

And a little secret. We gave your Trident arsenal codes to the Russians too

Obama Administration Shared UK's Nuclear Secrets with Russia

The Obama administration is about to share information with Russia about every Trident missile the U.S. supplies to its closest ally Britain – the result of the arms control deal signed by President Barack Obama next week.

British defense analysts tell the London Telegraph that the agreement risks undermining Britain’s policy of refusing to confirm the exact size of its nuclear arsenal.

The information comes as Britain is reeling from revelations in new WikiLeaks documents that show the United States has used British nuclear secrets as a bargaining chip with the Russians.

The latest U.S. classified documents released by WikiLeaks are in the form of 1,400 U.S. embassy cables that indicate the Obama administration was willing to sacrifice British interests in the hopes of a deal with Russia.

obama, wikileaks, britain, trident, russiaA series of classified messages sent to Washington by American negotiators indicate that information on Britain’s nuclear capability was crucial to securing Russia’s support for the “New START” deal.

The Obama administration said repeatedly that the treaty was not supposed to have any impact on Britain, but the leaked cables show that Russia used the talks to demand more information about the UK’s Trident missiles, which are manufactured and maintained in the United States.

Washington lobbied London in 2009 for permission to supply Moscow with detailed data about the performance of UK missiles. The UK refused, but the U.S. agreed to hand over the serial numbers of Trident missiles it transfers to Britain.

Professor Malcolm Chalmers told the Telegraph “This appears to be significant because while the UK has announced how many missiles it possesses, there has been no way for the Russians to verify this. Over time, the unique identifiers will provide them with another data point to gauge the size of the British arsenal.”

IFF codes is key to targetting and identifying friendly or hostile targets.awww but we gave your codes to Russia.aww and I am talking about digital codes embedded in each individual missiles control circuitry.Your media downplays this and simply kisses our rears.

The US would never attack the UK over the Falklands and would never back a South American attack on the islands either.

Keep telling yourself. We are no one friends and we are the overlord of this planet.Falklands has very high quality oil and many possibly hundreds of billions of barrels. Not even Venezuala has that much oil.Plus population of Falklands is very less.Makes it a very attractive target. And it will Argentina subservient to us and break up Chavez's and Lula's plans for opposing us.

and your taranis is B-2 ripoff which we will intercept with F-22 with ease

not if USA decides to impose the Monroe Doctrine.

We owe it, therefore, to candor and to the amicable relations existing between the United States and those powers to declare that we should consider any attempt on their part to extend their system to any portion of this hemisphere as dangerous to our peace and safety. With the existing colonies or dependencies of any European power we have not interfered and shall not interfere. But with the Governments who have declared their independence and maintained it, and whose independence we have, on great consideration and on just principles, acknowledged, we could not view any interposition for the purpose of oppressing them, or controlling in any other manner their destiny, by any European power in any other light than as the manifestation of an unfriendly disposition toward the United States.

basically what belongs to the european countries at that point is theres and the usa isn't going to interfere but dont try and expand anymore over in the americas, so the monroe doctorine actually forbids american interference on the falkland islands
