The mainstream Tea Party... the one you hear about on CNN and MSNBC, has been co-opted by the Republican Party. There are millions of Tea Party members nation wide that wouldn't give two cents for an establishment republican.

Why do they keep voting for and supporting Republican candidates?
I find that strange.

If you're super right, and you have a no choice other than voting to the party slightly to the left of you, or for what you consider hippies, who would you vote for?

For the Tea Party clowns like Palin, the GOP is BARELY right enough, and the Democrats are baby-murdering-atheist-communist-socialist hippies (sponsored by Soros ofc).

The media could be a check on the politicians if it didn't have to be so entertaining to get ratings. Conflict is entertainment on news networks so you won't hear so much truth as argument for arguments sake.. As far as Beck goes, I'm pretty sure he was just on fox to make all of its other programming seem moderate in comparison. Give fox the illusion of fair and balanced.

I'm gonna post this in bold letters....because i want to SCREAM my point:

Here's an idea: QUIT YOUR JOBS, TURN OFF THE CELL PHONES, CANCEL THE CABLE/DTV, CLOSE YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS, RIP UP YOUR CREDIT CARDS, DEFAULT ON YOUR MORTGAGE, STOP DRIVING TO WORK, STOP PAYING FOR STUFF THAT DOESN'T BENEFIT YOUR LIFE. IF THEY WANT IT, LET THEM HAVE IT, AND LET THEM FIGHT OVER IT!!!!

Do you people even realize, YOU'RE HELPING THEM "STAY" RICH. You idiots! Think of all the CORPORATIONS you're KEEPING IN BUSINESS. You're working for the "elite", so stop complaining. You're a bunch of SLAVES....only difference is.....YOU GET PAID! But not really, cuz everytime you turn around, they're jacking up prices, taking out late fees/overdrafts...etc.

Think about this: if the banks, took $1 from each of it's customers; just $1 measely dollar, per day: how much money would they have made? You people need to seriously think!!!! YOU'RE HELPING THEIR CAUSE BY FEEDING THEIR HUNGER, THEIR BEAST. KNUCKLEHEADS!!!

Also, if you KNOW the elections are BS....uuuuuuuuuuh, why do you still vote? Why don't you go to the voting booths...and state your claims? Why don't you go out there, AND PREACH THE TRUTH! Ron Paul??? Pah-lease...he's "American" and "America" no longer "exists". Eeeeeeven IF Ron Paul won, he'd STILL BE working under Bush's and Obama's policies! DUUUUUUUUUUUUUH!

You're feeding the beast...so BE QUIET!!!!!!!!

Don't talk about it.........BEEEEEEE about it! Oh, and be WISE, keep your internet service..you'll be needing that.....it has FREE TV...if you need your daily dose of hypnosis....or, come to ATS for a daily dose of DELUSION; with a LITTLE slice of "denying ignorance"! All TALK!!!!

A lot of "scumbags" on welfare did work 7 days a week and miss things important milestones all the time. Those "scumbags" are usually the ones making civilized life possible for the rest of us.

My parents had to get on welfare a few times when I was a kid. My dad was without a job for a year one time; the second that he found one, we got off welfare. Last time I checked, my mother wasn't a crack whore popping out kids left and right.

Your stereotypes and generalizations show me that don't even know any poor people, let alone have ever been one.

Sorry

Twas your conservative friends in the supreme court who humanize both, my friend

Tis your truly financially ELITE front runner that believes in the humanity of a business entity.

The only reason you guys win is because you rule from a place of fear.

Since Bush, all you do is scare the turd out of people and speak centrally organized strings of
words to better the terror you peddle.

I have never seen a greater example of group think in my life

And ALL

To benefit millionaires and Billionaires!

You should feel proud!

Apples & Oranges. The "tax" here is for social security. Lets' say you have a system that is failing, like, umm, social security. In its present form it's just a matter of time before it fails, just like medicare. The payroll tax for both together has been a bit in excess of 7% for both employee and employer. Now here's an interesting little tidbit:

If we are going to keep both social security and medicare in its present form with the present benefits people now "enjoy," the payroll tax would have to be: 44%, i.e.22% employee and 22% employer.

So what does the government do? It cuts the employee tax rate from 7+% down to about 4 or so for a year to "help out workers."

Here is a system that is failing, so the government cuts its funding. This is INSANE!!!

So now that they say "Holiday is over" what is the claim? That the GOP is raising taxes on the poor.

Right. Like half the population doesn't pay any income taxes anyway. Your free ride is about over.

Both established politicians need to go in both parties. The OP states about keeping the Bush era tax cuts.
I like the extra child credit for my tax return, as everyone else with children, If I recall an extra $600 per child.
It is time for our government to do with much less, layoffs included. there should no new taxes, period.

The Republican Party is not about you or your interests or your needs. It is about greed and corruption. How anyone can vote Republican and claim they care about this country is absolutely mind boggling.

So how is it you post off topic so often and get away with it? Just asking since the topic is taxing the poorest while absolving the wealthy of the same how any of what you are saying relates? If you want to do an off topic war why not in private? Some of us would like to have continuity in their read and you do not contribute with these posts.

"Unions are people, my friend!"

"Corporations are people, my friend" is a direct quote from Mitt Romney.
"Unions are people, my friend!" is you quoting yourself which seems a little strange to make a point. I believe the point was to quote a presidential candidate unless you are running too? Otherwise, fail.

The dumb down agenda IS the mainstream progressive agenda, LIBS included

That must be why most teachers are Democrats, huh? Republicans are so anti-education that they want to rewrite history books, teach religious myth in schools as an alternative to scientific fact, decry science and research, slash school funds and wages, and deny professional teachers any say in classroom size, curriculum, facilities and course development (see Wisconsin banning collective bargaining).

Find me a conservative intellectual. Ron Paul is an intellectual yet he is constantly marginalized by the Republicans. George Will may be one but they are far apart and few between since William F. Buckley Jr. died and the Republicans booted out his son. Intellectuals are the bane of conservatives, not liberals. I believe that is why they are called the "elite" by them. No, they aren't elite, they are just smarter than most of them.

The song and dance always equates this way when rubber meets the road

Talk about mixed metaphors....how about the song remains the same when the rooster crows?

PALIN '12

The elections for 1812 are over. James Madison won.

Is the Republican field so bad that you actually feel you need to add her into the mix? Here's a clue: she isn't running, never intended on running, and would quit halfway through if she did. Anyway Bachmann already has the right wing loony white male vote. I don't think either want to share it.

There. Fixed it for ya'.

The only thing Republicans ever fixed were electronic voting machines.
