Market watch is the site I usually use

marketwatch.com

Nasdaq and S&P look like they may go below -5% soon.

ETA - Yup, only took about a minute for them to fall below -5%

S&P did briefly dip below 5% just before Obama spoke.

It will be back there soon enough.

Brazil stock is plummeting towards -7% and Argentina's still hovers around -7.5% Apparently they weren't convinced.

Raising the debt ceiling was supposed to help, was it not?

Now the POTUS speaks and that is supposed to help also, right?

We're now under 11,000 and falling.

Evidently the shareholders are sending a message to our leadership. They are not convinced and are putting their eggs into new "safer" baskets.

One analyst is saying 10,750 is the next support level.

Should the 11,000 then 10,750 index levels fail to bring in buyers, we’d look for a simple play to 10,000 which was the nominal support from 2010 – just like 1,040 held in the S&P 500.

This is pretty bad, but it was always going to happen. As stated Brazil and Argentina are tanking, Brazil in particular. I don't know whether to watch the riots in London, or the markets.

Brazil went off a cliff a minute ago.

This is what i posted in this thread www.abovetopsecret.com...

Asian markets down in range of 5-10% (5% japan and 10% aussie).
EU markets down 5-15% (5% DAX 15% or more FTSE Milan - Italy).
DOW under 10,000 points (its crazy, but i think will happend)
Gold up 4-5%

Tuesday...most markets closed.

After that, God knows.

I was wrong about EU for Italy (ECB messed up my prediction).

I got the gold to 5% (but might go higher).
And about DOW...what can i say...i might be right about hitting 10,000 points.

Lets hope what i said for tuesday won't come to fruition.

God help us all.

Well, oil is going down extremely fast.

Cheaper gas prices (hopefully). Other than that, I cant think of any other good news.

I made some guesses in that thread to. Here's what they were for US stocks.

Dow -3.50% or -4%
S&P -7%
Nadaq -6%

(I was way off on Asia stocks by about 4%)

I'm sure all eyes will be glued to the Asian markets at 7pm EST. Anyone optimistic about what we'll see when their markets open based on what happened here in the Americas?
