Not all liberals are hateful. Not all conservatives are hateful. Some of every group of people will find it easier to use violence (verbal and physical) instead of the whole 'we agree to disagree' thing. Most of the people on here know that as well, but choose to use blanket statements anyway instead of using common sense. I am a liberal marxist socialist leftist I guess since I vote democrat usually (I voted for Obama and will vote for him again).

Someone commented that liberals are hateful? The most racist, hateful people I ever met are middle aged WHITE conservatives (I am white btw). I admit I have seen and heard violence from liberals as well, but I am a bartender in a conservative town and if you want to know what anyone truly thinks, let them get a few beers or shots in them and start venting. During the 2008 elections I heard the 'N' word more than I ever thought I would in this day and age.

In regards to Glenn, he constantly uses veiled (and sometimes not so veiled) fear mongering which causes negative responses from both sides. He may have valid ideas to some, but the way he delivers the message is completely wrong to foster civilized discussion. His behavior as an adult is embarrassing to me which is the main reason I can't watch him.

This goes for most of the cable guys these days (FOX and MSNBC alike). They have lowered themselves to weak tactics to increase ratings and no decent, constructive information really comes out of their shows anymore.

In the end, using negative speech insites negative responses. Not everyone is capable of controlling themselves in the real world. Millions of people hear him on a daily basis. If anyone is surprised that this happened, then get out more. I am surprised worse hasn't happend yet to any of these public figures honestly. They play on people's fears and then act surprised when people respond negatively.

Is it right? No. Is it surprising? No.

Karma----what you give is what you get. Beck gives a lot of hate and separatism on his show. So what, you expect people who take opposition to what he says to walk up grinning and skake his hand? You get what you give...

I'm not a big fan of any radiotalk show pundit, but I've actually watched Beck's show a few times, and I never once sawheard him preach hate.
Separatism???????????????????????????????
On the last Beck show I saw, he mentioned about 10 times how nice it would be if people could live together and tolerate each other!

If I were to EVER meet Beck, Limbaugh and the other speaker box big mouths...I'd slap Earth, Wind and Fire from their mouth, then watch them cry like little girls. (Yes I am violent)

You say Beck "gives hate", then in the same breath you say you'd physically assault him because, in your own words, you're violent

Liberals have plenty of tolerance for others lifestyles and thoughts.

But Beck and Limbaugh should be physically assaulted because YOU don't agree with them.
In my years of reading this and several other discussion boards, I have never, ever seen anyone
contradict themselves, literally, with every other sentence they post. You're an illogician.

That is awesome!!!

As much as I don't like the man, I dislike the people that did this even more. We aren't in a middle eastern country where being in the "wrong" religion or political alignment will get you and your family attacked or killed even. This is the United States of America, those people should be ashamed of themselves. Whats next attacking mormons or jews on the streets? Just terrible ignorance!

Yep, and even then he spent days apologizing, on air. Immediately he said he was wrong and what he did/said was disgusting and he was sorry. He apologized not just to his listeners but to POTUS as well.

To me what he said was not out of line.

Well he called the wife of a rival DJ once and mocked her for having a miscarriage. So family being off limits and Becky worrying about attacks is kind of too little too late. You do not forget something that disgusting and maybe a wine drinker remembered how he so viciously attacked someone else family once and thought perhaps he should see what it feels like.

What goes around comes around. I would say he has a lot left coming to him just from that one incident.

And that happened before he quit drinking and drugs and such, I believe.
A different time and person is the idea.

And that is the retort or reasoning why his family was subject to this?

Oh how the mantra continues on for Liberals.

I think it is pretty damn cute that I tried to make that exact point and was attacked for it and from the right side no less. Sweet sweet irony.

If Beck makes you afraid you are a weak person, and you can't think for yourself. Oh wait, you ARE a liberal.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Afraid? I said I'd slap the taste from his mouth if I ever saw him.

No i'm not a liberal, conservative or any other label many willingly apply to themselves.

Liberals have plenty of tolerance for others lifestyles and thoughts. Hence the approach many liberals take that, "Well it isn't my choice but if someone wants to have an abortion, if that man wants to marry a man"...or do I have it backwards? Is it conservatives who take this stance?

What Liberals don't have tolerance for are fear-mongerers and hypocrits.

Ha ha very funny - that's why progressives started to call themselves 'liberals' so they could pose as 'tolerant' to everything that conservatives were opposed to.

They could disguise their 'radical marxism' as big hearted liberalism - and suck in enormous numbers of young niaive idealistic dupes to swallow their bull# hook line and sinker.

Just answer the statement, am I wrong, is it the conservatives who are tolerant of the things listed?

Lemme make it easier for you...what are conservatives tolerant of?

Uh, oh. What is this?

The Real Story Behind Glenn Beck’s Hellish Outdoor Movie Nightmare

Did you hear? Glenn Beck got jumped by a pack of ravenous urban liberals last night! Or did a drunk person just accidentally spill wine on his wife? You be the judge.

I know. Who wants another side of the story. All we need is Beck's right?

Turns out her friend accidentally spilled wine on Tanya:

I was on the blanked directly behind Mr. Beck, and while we did find it amusing that wine was spilled on Tanya & co, I can tell you that it was 100% accidental. My friend was drinking her wine and it tipped over, as wine glasses are wont to do. We immediately helped Tanya & co clean up the "mess" and offered them our napkins, and apologies were made. There was no hostility or animosity in the exchange, and I find it hard to believe that a half-filled glass of wine would be capable of "soaking" anyone, even waif-thin Tanya. Moreover, why would we waste the wine?

When glenn is on the clock and doing his thing, all heckling is fair.

What happened to them (if true and exactly how its written) is disgusting behavior.
As a political commentator, Beck is the polar opposite of my viewpoint...as a person, he seems like a likeable guy. If I seen him out in public with his family catching a movie, I would probably (if it wasn't ultra tacky) introduce myself, perhaps get something autographed (for my dad...he loves him for some weird reason) and maybe spark up a very light conversation about something superficial if he was in the mood for it, otherwise, would let him just quietly enjoy his family time without getting involved.

The idiots that did what they did (allegedly) are braindead morons...political trolls so simpleminded that they think it matters person to person verses a government game.

I didn't read many comments up till now...I imagine its a lot of political trolling back and forth...and no doubt many in here would be kicking wine on the backs of random political figures familys equally...

in saying that...is this confirmed? could this be staged? it seems very absurd overall...who does that. It wouldn't suprise me that showman beck had this as part of a promo piece to give him even more of a messiah role...keep in mind, we are just the screaming chimps on the side watching the ringleaders play their games.

To Everyone in this Thread...

It should be against the law to declare yourself as a Democrat, Republican, Liberal, Conservative, Progressive, and NeoCon.

You are either a concerned U.S. Citizen or a scumbag political party loyalist.

Whatever happened to people who stood for honor, tolerance, and civility?

If you believe in the United States Constitution, you believe that everyone has a right to life, liberty, and happiness.

You either stand with your fellow Americans, or you are a scum bag political party loyalist.

Which are you?

Glenn Beck has rights as much as Obama does. If we only stand up for one individual's rights, we are not standing up for everyone's rights. Regardless about how people may feel about both men, their rights must be protected at all times.

I listen to his show quite often and it is all veiled and not so veiled hate.

Yes, I'd slap him in his mouth and make him apologize for the ignorance he spits over the radio, but all in all I am very tolerant (even though I'm not a liberal). I have no problem or issue with gay marriage, abortion, if someone wants to walk down the street naked, etc. The ONLY thing I take offense to are those talking heads who's job it is to get dumb people riled up and fighting each other.

I see no contradiction here...

I said it was not true. I said I did not believe this story. I then said that both sides are guilty of having asses in the ranks. I was attacked by Beck fans for having that opinion. I feel assaulted now.
