This is absolutely wrong. What did his grandchildren do to anyone? Why are they bombing his son's house? They are after his oil and natural resources. This is a ruse and the whole world is watching.

You are absolutely wrong.

IF you have taken it upon yourself to be a leader, whether by accepting the elections from your people, or however, you cannot put your family first.

You HAVE to put your nation ahead of your family and yourself. Otherwise, you do not belong in leadership.

When you take on the position of "leader" of a nation, the entire nation and all its people are what you are supposed to protect as if it were your very child.

He is a better leader to his people than ours are. He knows that there only chance to remain a free nation is to fight to the death if need be. When the western business interests take over in Libya those people and the nations wealth and freedom will be stolen from them.

Our leaders sold us out. They are letting corporations pull the strings here in the US and look what it is costing us. Our people are suffering, our nation is nearly bankrupt, or military being used for things that do not benefit the American people, but DO benefit International Bankers and other multinational corporations.

Gaddafi may be an ass to those who threaten Libya, but he has been better at protecting the interests of his people than our leaders have been at protecting ours.

Thats only true if the majority of us think the way you do.

The people of the world are always the majority. The ruthless inhumane banking and corporate interests are always in the minority.

We the people can make them stop, if we dont stand around with our thumbs up our butts and mutter to ourselves while they slowly kill off sovereign nations one by one. Either by slow erosion of sovereignty (in the west) or force, (in Africa and the Mid East.)

What we allow to happen to others will eventually come home to us, because the people orchestrating this are loyal to no country and that countries people. They are mulitnationals, and they dont need any one nation. They use each nation for what it has. The US for its military, the mid east for its oil, but they have no NATIONS interest at heart. Look at America. Look at it. Dont be fooled by the fact that because our military is being used to do this that it is about "us." It isnt. They are waging economic war here at the same time they are using our military resources to wage physical war elsewhere.

"First they came…" is a famous statement attributed to Pastor Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) about the inactivity of German intellectuals following the Nazi rise to power and the purging of their chosen targets, group after group. The text of the quotation is usually presented roughly as follows:

en.wikipedia.org...

First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, [Middle easterners]
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew. [Middle easterner]

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

-Pastor Martin Niemöller

Sound familiar? It should. Its happening around the world right now.

Paid Mercenaries or not, why do most of the rebels have really long beards, and (more importantly), prayer bumps ?
en.wikipedia.org...

By just looking at the pictures of the rebels, I can tell they are by the very least very religious muslims, if not extremists, you make out the rest.

Also a bit off topic but related; In Egypt whenever I saw pictures of rebels invading the secret police headquarters, they had long beards and prayer bumps.

Here:
www.youtube.com...
It's a crappy video but you can see glimpses of their faces here and there.

The more time passes, the more I start to believe that the next North Africa / Middle-East will be an anti American one (Egypt already denied the US access to their bases to launch strikes on Libya, that's a bad start, and they are warming relationships with Iran, which has pissed off the Emirates).
Here:
www.telegraph.co.uk...

And this:
www.thenational.ae...
Even though they deny it, it is true, my relatives were unable to obtain a travel visa to U.A.E because of this.

My point: You be the judge, a dictatorship which is western friendly, or extremist rebels (Iran friendly). Either way, the people LOSE.

Your damn right! They are Al Qaeda fighters, brought in by the CIA, together with some some trained libyen chimps who stir up the masses. The people of Libya love Gadaffi, there is no doubt about it. The whole uprising is British, American and probably French orchestrated, with the ZIONIStS as invisible puppet masters in the background!

Im not sure if this link has been posted already. For those who are asking if this really happened. Look at some more facts. Earlier that day Gaddafi said he was ready for negotiations if NATO would stop the planes.

TRUCE OFFER

*sighs*

After the airstrike, apparently gunshots of celebration were let off. SICK!

Oh my God, are you serious? Gaddafi was ready for negotiations and a truce and his family is dead the same day. If true this would be against the Geneva Convention and be a severe war crime. I need to check on this further. Youre right, sick! Then to celebrate the deaths of those children..................I'm speechless.

Like the geneva convention matters one bit if your on the winning side.....

The cia/kgb has been rumored to kill anyone it wishes, but of course you will never find this on their official site!

Illuminatti planning WW3 between russia/china(EX-communists) versus ALWAYS capitalist america and EX-socialists europe.

What was france-uk-usa doing in libya? The oil? Don't they have enough oil contracts as it is and I thought gadafhi became "a good boy" after the lockerbie plane bombing. Something is messed up.

Now they are thinking of messing with syria who hates israel. I wonder if its really fed-up people, al-queda or zeta-reticulan greys that hate "their" unellected governments.

I see WW3 slowly starting to show itself.

It will come.

Well either the majority of americans and western europeans are extremely stupid(UNLIKELY) or they WANT capitalism. My money is on the second option. Obviously I do not disagree with what you say but the MAJORITY do and you can see this at yahoo or any other mainstream site....

Terrorists are being called rebels or freedom fighters and most believe this. I think the struggle for socialism and/or communism is dead as the first has been discredited by hitler and the second by stalin. It encourages laziness, right?

If your not an extreme capitalist in america than your a communist. Even the moderators of this site belive the lies of McCarthy. Anyway I don't feel like beating a dead horse because its an excercise in futility....what does annoy me however is that many posters like to play it "in between" the lines according to how they wake up in the morning.

Unless we start directly messing around in Georgia again, Russia will stay directly out of this.

That won't stop them from supplying and arming Gaddafi though. There are also many mercenaries who have come to help Gaddafi from Russia and Eastern Europe.

How profound.

Are you claiming that the AMOUNT of violence on Earth is a constant and denying that there is anything we could do that would decrease it to its lowest common denominator? Or are you just making the observation that violence itself cannot be eradicated entirely?

I agree with the second idea, I disagree with the first. Our choices and behaviors absolutely determine the level and degree of violence, and while I am definitively no absolute pacifist, I believe it is our duty as thinking, sentient, feeling beings to try to minimize the suffering and violence we cause.

The problem is, that the exact opposite is precisely true too.

Freedom fighters and rebels (that are rightfully fighting for a cause) are being called terrorists. The confusion to the minds of the people is intentional. If people are left to their own devices with an inability to discern one between the other, then human nature presupposes the worst case scenario....which is to lump them all together as negative entities.

So, what happens? Our "Good Leaders" say we must bomb, and the people all cheer, "Bomb!"....and so it goes.

There is a third option, which should be apparent to you as an ATS member.

There is ground between stupid and compliant. It is ignorant.

And their ignorance is not entirely willful. The media has gone out of its way to paint the destruction of a sovereign nation as our "helping the poor people of Libya." And the media also promotes the idea that Fascism is "free market capitalism." I DO wish they would awaken to the understanding that the media is controlled by the same economic forces waging war on the people of the world. But I dont fault them for it entirely.

The illusion of freedom is powerful. And thats what we have, the illusion of a "free press." Its not the government restricting it for the most part. The reason it serves "government" influence is not that our politicians are ramming that dictate down the throats of an unwilling press. Its that both the media and the government are being paid for by the same people.

And it has taken YEARS even here on ATS for people to come around to that understanding. (And many of us still labor under the illusion that it isnt so)

The majority of the worlds people are not bad, they are being lied to and information they need to make good decisions is being withheld from them, and the idea that the majority supports these actions is being artificially maintained by propaganda campaigns.

Im disappointed that we do not, as a whole, see through the illusion. But I certainly dont think its because people are stupid or compliant as a whole. I believe its the third option, they just dont know whats going on. They believe the illusion, and cannot see the underlying workings of machine.
