I think the reason they wanted to have more freedom is they have seen what life can be like, technical gadgets, women’s rights, education, and a better standard of Freedom. Gaddafi has spies in education, government and work places. If you oppose him, you will be publically executed. He’s stopped teaching other languages in schools. If you discuss Libyan politics with foreigners, you’re jailed.

He still doesn’t deserve to be killed or have his family killed. We don’t have an accurate poll of how many Libyans are for or against him, with free will to choose. Now we’ll never know.

I'm all for raising more money for defense! The problems I see revolve more on our Mexican border. We actually have travel restrictions to Mexico because of their inner drug wars. Again, Bonkers!

You know, I did my 20 in the service, and because of that, when people are around me, they automatically assume that I gratuitously approve of everything the Military machine here does. And this is where it gets really diabolical, we do not know what kind of State Egypt is going to become. I believe that it was intended all along by this admin and World Socialists to start all these revolutions and turn these countries into Socialist states. All this seems to just fly by without even a word, while NATO bombs Libya. And where does it come from? Yep, your pocket, that is if you pay taxes. But it is also in the form of a hidden tex when inflation hits after the Fed prints money to pay for this stuff.

So why are we doling out money in aid to poor people in foreign countries while going bankrupt????

Not officially. We could accept his exile along with his family and then his plane accidentally crashes killing all on board. However given the current circumstances it's highly probable he'll die by an air strike. He's the one that decided to open fire and kill his own people. He also authorized the use of cluster munitions into residential neighborhoods.

Ah well, next time they might just get Gadaffi. I don't see why Nato are waiting so long and using so many resources trying to "legally" make this silly man leave and yet more and more of the Libyan citizens are being slaughtered.

This is what pisses me off about these "operations" ... #1 , I don't agree with Gaddafi's family being killed... but I do understand WHY it was done. I'm not a fan of "collateral damage" or civilian casualties , I'm not an "End justifies the means" guy either... that being said here's the game, that everyone plays but nobody talks about.

Why don't we just assasinate him? the quick and easy is , we're not allowed to.... BUT , If he just HAPPENS to be in a building that we drop a Paveway into or put a tomahawk through the front door of and by chance he were to sustain injuries that were incompatible with life during said Raytheon induced explosion... we can always say... "Oops, we didn't know he was there with his family, or the HUMINT we received did not place him there at that time" Plausible deniability.

Not that I agree with it, but if its gotta be done, do it old school... a Single 160gr Boat tail in the T... put the word out there... If you play games..... we will kill you. No need for all of the civilian casualties, and damaged infrastructure.. BUT that'll never happen... Because that boat tail costs $1.87 and your average price of a Tomahawk is $1,000,000 (Give or take $400,000 depending on model) ... The military industrial complex won't run if we don't use up our weapons silly So far we've used up about $130,000,000 worth of Raytheon's Finest in this "non war". Maybe that and the AWESOME TAX BREAKS THEY GET will keep Raytheon, GE, General Dynamics, Northrop and the rest of the weapons manufacturers in the black until armageddon.

Don't forget, In times of peace, these guys make less money... we can only store so many weapons and show so many on paper during each fiscal year... If the Pentagon doesn't spend all of their money, defense spending would get reduced...Use it or lose it. So.... During times we are not actually at war, we'll be in operations somewhere , fighting a war on something... dropping bombs on poor people. I wonder when the CEO's watch the footage on CNN if they hear the Cha-Ching!! , of a cash register everytime they see an explosion?
