i design as a side job-...if i was trying to fool anyone, i would look through the document thoroughly for any discrepancies before releasing anything...who ever believes this is fake will not grasp reality any time soon..so its best we ignore them.. man the nerve of these folks

Once it separates text, images etc... and saves them into groups wouldn't the text be saved as text? So it could be searchable? Why when this document is opened is it showing separate layers all as an image not a text layer? If it is saved as separate images instead of text how would it be searchable? Wouldn't that defeat the whole purpose of scanning it that way?

I lean towards BHO politically, but I also believe that the truth is more important and a higher end in and of itself than any political considerations.

That being said, the more I look at this document, the greater the sinking feeling I am getting. This document does look manipulated. The thing I noticed right off the bat, and if others have pointed this out somewhere else on this gigantic thread my apologies, is that all of the text, which has indeed been layered from the background, has a white drop shadow behind it, as if to enhance its readability. I don't believe this is a result of aliasing. This looks like something I would intentionally do to make the text pop a little. It is a very common technique.

I might be able to overlook this if it was on just the parts of this document that I assume were generic and pre-printed, but it is on the field text as well, where BHO's unique info was inserted. What gives?

If this is forged, why the hell didn't they flatten and rasterize the document prior to generating the PDF?

This looks like the same old "Certificate of Live Birth" that was produced a few years ago except it is printed on a "long" piece of paper! I guess that makes it the official "long" form. LOL!

exactly this text is not searchable nor selectable. It's not due to OCR. People are making excuses to make themselves feel better. these are all individually scanned pieces put together

Separates the text from the pictures, pictures being anything not recognized as text.

Some databases use the OCR for filing. My work doesn't work this way. The document is then named the relevant title and that is how we search for it.

In my case it is old customer orders so yes the lines are technically separate from the text.

Do I preserve them this way? No.

Edit:

I want to add. OCR is an example of what it may be used. As a previous user pointed out, this doc uses Bitmap which isn't OCR. It's really hard to know at what level (hospital/gov) the images became bitmap, but either way it isn't relevant.

I am just trying to get across that this procedure isn't weird at all and people with experience here generally agree.

So you know I generally fall on the Left, but I promise I would never trump facts for substance.

It's not that birthers refuse to believe in documents of proof. The problem is that all these documents are frauds plain and simple. I think any birther will shut up the minute that there is proof thats not dodgey.This new birth certificate is crap and his SSN# number was never issued by Social security. it was issued from N. Carolina in 77" when Obama was supposed to be in Hawaii. it's out of sequence!.

True. There's one other thing that would do it though, and that's a real, legitimate birth certificate, which this one is obviously not, even to the digital forensic layman.

The big question I have, is why he hasn't been able to produce (even it's back-dated and falsified), a real, legitimate document. I mean, when the government needs cash, they print real money. Why can't they print a real birth certificate?
