Some of the sites list names of professors as well as other people.

Take the information on these sites with a grain of salt because I haven't validated the sources and I haven't cross-checked anything. And likewise, I would like you to provide some sources that claim specific records -- aside from Obama's birth certificate -- don't exist, and that people in Obama's past don't remember him during those times.

For the NY Times and CBS news, as much as I agree with you, for the sake of the readers of this thread, for a claim like yours to be made proof and reasoning has to be provided.

All of the sources that I provided have names in them that if a person was really dedicated to this effort they could call or what have you to find out and validate the information for themselves. And the information I provided is still more valid than what... a chain email?

I agree with you! The repubs did almost nothing to promote their candidate. They sabotaged McCain and Palin when they could have put their support behind them. Instead they sat back and watched from the sidelines. The McCain campaign staff even bad mouthed Palin. McCain outlasted Romney and the others through Soros money. McCain himself did almost nothing to really debate Obama. It was almost as if he himself did not even care if he won.

McCain and Palin was just there for show. The real deal was for Obama to get in all along, it was so obvious.

I was interested in seeing what I would come up with in terms of Obamas past so I asked the question to the popular Google. The question.... Where did Michelle and Obama meet? Should have been pretty simple. The first 5 responces, I got 2 (tunc.biz and answers.com) who say they met at harvard. 2 ( wikipedia and askville) that say they met at the law firm sidley austin. Newsweek referred to a statement Obama made while addressing a group from Moscow University indicating he met michelle at harvard. The article continued, however, this must be a mistake by obama as Michelle graduated in spring of 1988 from harvard and obama did not begin attending harvard till that fall. The article then implied the 2 met at the law firm. Huh!!??

Is this yet another example of conflicting information which only fuels the birther debate, although Im told thats now all cleared up.....are we sure?

Because he has gone to great lengths not to let anyone look at them. There are all kinds of sites that claim to list things but there is no proof. Any site can say he went to Columbia list professors, ok great lets see the transcripts from your time there. Nope sorry no one is allowed to see those... Well why not?... Silence.... Oh well ok let contact some of the professors... oops none of them remember him... you get the idea.

Forgive my ignorance, looking through this thread I've seen mentioned more than a few times that some of you think that Obama is destroying the USA.

Now as a Brit (the 3rd most hated county in the world) I'd like to know why some of you think that?

America is regarded as one of the most arrogant and generally ignorant countries in the world (yes I'm aware of the irony of a Brit making the statement) - how do Obama's actions make things any worse?

One has to be careful in labeling such a person. They could have narcissistic qualities, DO think they know it all, or just perhaps they worry about you and want to help the best way they can even if the advice isn't knowledgeable. Some people may have a low confidence level, lack enough education and are trying hard to fit in. You are either going to have to accept this person for the way they are or, you are going to have to walk away.

Didnt Obama have a scottish lecturer at some point . I remember some scottish guy on tv saying that he was his best pupil and all that , that he relished a challenge and was very adapt at handling problems and was quick to give in depth answers .

I cant remember the guys name though , but he was definitely scottish !

I know this is Skunkworks, but 'Wow'. This post has actual evidence, obviously the poster went to a little effort to find the information and is doing what a good ATS'er is supposed to do, Deny ignorance.

So, why does this post only have a dozen stars when all the posts around have no evidence, are opinions only, were obviously written without any effort and all have 3 times the stars?

I expect ignorant posts (and have made may of my own), but to be rewarded for them is just stupid. It's another symptom of why America is falling, ignorance rewarding ignorance in a vicious cycle fed by people outside the cycle who use your ignorance for their own purposes.

Karen you are in no way the type of person I was referring too. You were someone who truly did need help and from the sound of it you didn't get enough to truly help and for that I'm sorry. You sound like an honest person who just wanted a better life for herself and your child and I applaud you for the hard work you have done to get where you are. You are not a part of the problem, if anything I can relate to you because I have two sons and was making 8.50 an hour for the first two years of their life, while mom took care of them during the day. I still remeber having to choose between eating at night or making sure they had enough to eat and the baby boy had formula, so please do understand I can truly relate to your position. We did not get any assistance, but that was by choice because of what I have experienced before in my dealings with the state. I know what it means to suffer, and from your reaction and what you describe I know you know how that feels, so please do accept my heart felt apology for any offense I have caused to you. I don't know who you are, but I am proud you have strived hard and made a better life for yourself and your child. YOU are the type of person I champion and believe able Americans should help, I would if I could afford to. Thats what I meant about looking out for your neighbor. Too many people have the ability to help and don't, while those who really need help have to fight against those who don't and just want the money. I say this from experiences with the hundreds of collection agents I have supported since I started my IT position 4 years ago. Please believe me when I tell you that I have personally seen over 100 people come to work here, then quit a month later to re-up their unemployment, many of whom have explicitly explained to me how they do it and why.
So again, please accept my apology, perhaps my post was too broadly written and not specific enough in my reference of true leeches. I wish you and your family nothing but prosperity and happiness.
