Oh dear this trash thread is still going on.I am apalled.I thought this travesty would have died out a long time ago.The child who started this mess must be having a wet dream with the ego boost everyone has given him,and like usual this thread, as so many others has wandered far off topic. Why do we even support an America basher who clearly doesn't know anything about America.Nobody even asked him if he has ever been out of Canada.I'm guessing no.He doesn't display any kind of worldly knowlege. All he knows is what he has learned from the internet. So lets all walk away from a thread that doesn't need our justification to exist.

The average American is not an idealist. (Hey, I've never been to America more than overnight and everything I know about America is derived from American media, so just imagine that this is being written by Norm MacDonald.)

Change will only come to America when the average American realizes that it is in his/her best interest to change. Don't give them all that crap about the constitution and rights, especially French rights. They don't care about that stuff.

Your question should be, "What can we sell the average American on now that will make a difference and that he will be willing to do?

1. Take a job, yes, of course, but not in a high rise building! Are you nuts?

2. Have a family! There's nothing wrong with America, you (term of comic abuse)! It's a great place to bring up a family. Haven't you ever seen Leave it to Beaver or Andy of Mayberry? You oughta be ashamed of yourselves! . . . but here's the deal. When your wife is about to give birth, you get her to a hospital across the border, so that the kid is a Canadian citizen by birth. That's what's called an anchor baby. When things get rough stateside, you might be able to get into Canada easier with an anchor baby.

Once you've had the kid, you just go back across the border and have him/her naturalized as an American citizen. That way you have the full benefits of an American upbringing and family life, but you can make a run for it to Canada when things go sour.

3. Learn to fly an ultralight aircraft and cache fuel in little dumps that lead in steps to the Canadian border.

4. Create your own stockpiles of cigarettes, coffee and Tylenol. When the currency goes, you barter.

5. Start being a big supporter of the local police force and of the state police and the federal law enforcement agencies. Help them on a personal level. Christmas cookies and cups of coffee for patrolmen, etc. Help out on a personal basis, so you become someone they tip off when the big round-up starts.

6. Stop discussing politics and get the heck off this site. Are you nuts?

7. Buy a dozen jerseys and a ball cap with the local NFL team's logo on it. Never be seen outside in anything and I mean anything else. I shouldn't even have to explain the logic of this. Should I?

8. Whenever you come across a cop ask him the dumbest question you can think of and be the most polite person that cop has seen in a month.

9. Support whoever is the president. Buy the pins and other junk. Are you crazy?

10. Start to research subterranean living. If they are digging in, why shouldn't you?

Look me up when you get to Toronto. I live in Winnipeg.

History has demonstrated time and time again, that peaceful protest is dubiously effective.
The Founding Fathers knew this, it is why they affirmed our right to keep and bear arms as well as peacefully protest.

If the SHTF, I won't be following your suggestion and go to Canada.

I don't really like that "subject" thing / the Crown thing, and your gun laws positively suck.

Unless you are from the Kogi Tribe, I really doubt that there is anywhere you can hide from the trickle down that began at the dawn of this Age.. nor will history not repeat itself again and again in it's trickle up again to the next. What one government does affects us all. You can point fingers at any one and find a malalignment to humanitarian ideals. No country has done it right and never will until we live by our hearts and not by the sword nor the mind. Our darkest have controlled the chess pieces and held the wisdom it kept from us. We are all sheeple slaves until that paradigm ends. Until then... We are all in this boat together.

I'm writing in the style of Howard Stern in this one.

Dude, you are such a cherry!

I will tell you what you will do in the SHTF scenario. You will do whatever is necessary. I am not telling you to go to Canada. I am telling you how to get to Canada when that is your last option, before going down in a blaze of glory with your sniveling kids and soon to be "professional" wife looking on. You will go to Canada, or you will die wishing you had gone.

I don't really like that "subject" thing / the Crown thing, and your gun laws positively suck.

Dude, you are a cherry with a cherry on top!

As far as the "subject" thing goes, do like I do, be a predicate. This is where Americans could learn a thing or two from Canadians.

The Crown. They don't give a flying fadoo about Canada. They aren't remotely interested in Canada, except when they are on tour here. It's hard to get Americans to understand about this. Think of the Crown as being like, . . . God, . . . yeah, like God.

See?

God doesn't give a tinker's damn about what goes on on this planet and he especially doesn't care about you. Look at Hurricane Katrina? Black people are among the most Christian people in America. They are "desperate for their lives Christians". Did God help them? No! What did he do? He sent them George W. Bush.

Do you get it now? In Canada the Crown is like the Constitution in the United States . . . meaningless except on civic holidays.

Be a predicate. That's where the action is.

The gun laws in Canada.

Dude, you are a cherry with a cherry on top and a bowl of cherries on the side.

I'll spell it out for you. (What else can I do on a keyboard?)

In a SHTF scenario, laws go out the window.

Believe me, you'll think Canada's gun laws are terrific when you get up here with a butt full of buckshot from back where the gun laws are great.

I knew a guy once who escaped from Hungary, in 1957 after the Budapest uprising. They came across the Austrian border, armed to the teeth with machine guns and "Molotov" cocktails. They were so "businesslike" that the Austrian border guards came out of their booth with their hands up when they saw these guys coming.

My friend's pals broke out laughing and threw away their guns because they had fought their way out to FREEDOM!!!!

When you get here, look me up in Winnipeg. I live in Whitehorse.

I said that Americans, whenever they see a cop, . . . anywhere . . ., they should ask the dumbest question possible and be the most polite person that cop has seen in a month.

Americans, particularly people in these forums are not used to pretending to be dumb, (with the exception of a few posters in the 9/11 forum who shall remain nameless as they collect around the water cooler in Langley), so with that in mind, I have taken the trouble to invent ten useless dumb questions that will have any cop convinced that you couldn't possibly be the person he is looking for.

First some police etiquette.

When you see a "beat cop", a police officer or "constable" like we have up here (and, like they have in Texas (!?!) surprisingly), you never address that policeman as "officer" or "constable".

Never.

You always promote them.

An "officer" becomes a sargeant. A sargeant becomes a lieutenant or detective, and detectives become inspectors and so on.

I know this is elementary stuff, but considering the overall topic, posted by the OP, I feel I have to "clarify the obvious", so to speak.

When the cop corrects you about his rank, just look dumb and stunned and then fall all over yourself apologizing. Throw in a lot of "sirs" and try to look like someone just flung the outhouse door open on you. Then you recover by saying, "Well, I hope to see you a sargeant some day" and nod a couple of times before saying "yessir" twice.

By this time the cop will be looking around for your nurse and be ready to answer your question.

Here are the questions.

1. "'Scuse me sargeant, but I was just going to go over to (name a bar) for a drink and I was lookin' for someone to talk football with (you're wearing your jersey and cap). Would'ja like to go for a beer?" (Look enthusiastic and hopeful.)

2. "'Scuse me sargeant, but I know (puff yourself up) we over here in the US drive on the right side of the road, but in England they drive on the left side of the road and I know (puff yourself up again) that them Japs drive on the left side of the road too? What's the deal on that?"

Note: This question should never be asked if you are the driver of a vehicle. Only pedestrians may ask this question.

3. "'Scuse me sargeant. I wanted to get your opinion on some police stuff. Wouldn't it make more sense to have the beat cops in plain clothes and the detectives in uniform?" Don't bother trying to present a rationale for this question. Just look as if you are seriously initiating a discussion of this point and you want his views.

4. "'Scuse me sargeant. I'm not very good with numbers and I was wondering if you could help me out with my income taxes?" Wave some horribly blotted and corrected tax forms around.

5. "'Scuse me sargeant. I don't want to take your time but somethin's been botherin' me. You know perscription drugs? The ones ya need a perscription for? The ones they won't give ya without you got that paper signed by the doctor? (He stares at you for a moment, then says, "yeah".) Well if you can get addicted to non-perscription drugs, why would the goverment let anyone take them in the first place?" This kind of question really makes an orderly mind wilt.

6. "'Scuse me sargeant. When you were young and first started out in the police department, what was it like? (This works great on rookie cops.)

7. "'Scuse me sargeant. When we get martial law, does that mean that police, like my wife said, will all be changing to cowboy uniforms?"

8. "'Scuse me sargeant. I wanted to run this idea by you before I write to the mayor about it. With rising costs and pressure on the department, wouldn't it make sense for the police to rent out empty jail cells to folks looking for a cheap room overnight?"

9. "'Scuse me sargeant. I'm lost. I'm wondering if you could help me find (name street on the other side of town)? While asking this question you are opening up and spreading out a map of a completely different city.

10. "'Scuse me sargeant. (You just flagged down the patrol car.) I was just wondering, since we're under martial law now, do we hafta call you guys, like marshalls?

What do you suggest we Americas do to fix the problem? Putting blame on a group of people is ignorance. That's like saying Mexicans are the ones that take all the welfare money and Black are the ones that steal?? Totally not true! These kind of statements create hate in less educated people. Divide and conquer, the powers that be want us to fight among ourselves so they don't have to fight us. Hence Racism. We need to realize that we are all humans, whether Black, Yellow or Canadian. Until we can respect each other how can we expect to fix anything?

It would be quite ironic, when the first act of nuclear terrorism, happens near you. Where ever it happens, it should nuke off a lot of greedy #ers, just like you...

Then maybe you will change your silly ways

Make no mistake, there will be a nuclear attack by terrorists in the near future. They have been looking to get their hands on it for decades and it's only a matter of time.

Show me how to unite the MASSES and I'll show you how to change a NATION. Other than that. Good thread.

MOTF!

Most people will never bother to do anything until this event happens. How long will you wait.

The US needs to change its foreign policy towards the world, and until that happens, these events will get bigger and bigger. How do you change government foreign policy?

There needs to be groups that are created, to lobby the government in order to do that. Until the US lessens the military presence and changes it foreign policy, these events of terrorism will only get larger.

How long will you wait?

Unfortunately most of them are too busy looking at photos of Britney Spears bald head or watching American Idol to give a s**t. Ignorance is bliss, and hopefully most of us here are looking for the same thing on this site and that is the TRUTH (or at least the chance to substitute our own sh**ty reality).

I totally don't see that at all!

I am not sure what you are reading this.

Did you vote for Bush?? If not, then who did?

50% of the american people are evangelicals, who want to usher in the rapture. They are supporting people like bush, and supporting Israel.

Do you really think Ron Paul has a chance to get in to power?
He would have to change his platform entirely and get with the corrupt program.

A large part of the american population are screwed up christians, who have a pretty crazy world view. Separation from church and state?
Yeah right!

You say that all the countries that we americans consider friends are just bending knee to our agenda. Why don't you change that for your country as I see you are canadien ....one of our best friends..Perhaps then you can see the error of your ways in telling us to change our countries policies.

This is a good thing that will come out of all of this.

The world is waking up and getting stronger, America isn't. What will happen is other parts of the world will want to become more independent of the US and not under their control.

The corrupt money system of the united states, is making other countries rethink if the US should be the reserve currency.

I don't think the american people really understand what position you are in. You are the reserve currency of the world. This holds great value, especially when you have a fiat currency and can create money out of no where. If other countries have to buy american dollars to sell or buy oil, this is a big bonus for the american dollar.

But many cournties are starting to question the USD being the current reserve currency. No one thought it would happen to the UK and they lost their reserve currency status because of corruption and abuse.

The US feels the same way. If you lose your status as reserve currency, you will see all the corrupt organization start to crumble under the weight and pressure of the dollar.

I don't think Americans realize how little things have to change, in order to change their way of life. And its all on its way. The next 20 years is going to be an interesting time in the course of US history.

How many 9/11s does it take before people make change? When its nuclear, things will change. And a nuclear event, is only a matter of time.

==================================================
So how does change happen?

When a nuclear event happens, people will go in to the street and demand change. They will oust the leaders and demand a restructuring.

How does change happen before a nuclear event?

The only way possible is for large watch dog groups to form, to watch over certain organizations in the United States. There has to be accountability. Then as these watch dog groups form, they will merge in to a larger group, that eventually gets a small amount of political power. If this can happen, there could be the first watch dog group, entering in to american politics and actually being successful.

Part of the problem is the large amount of christian groups that vote for presidents like Bush.

Everyone heard about the voter corruption that got Bush voted in, in the first place. How the hell did he get elected for two terms. Ask yourself that question.

There are a lot of people voting for him, even after all the corruption allegations and lying from the whitehouse.

That is the choice.

Wait until it gets so bad, that you have to make change (which is what will probably happen)

Or form the small watch dog groups now and start effecting change.

Please don't think in regards to Haiti that your country is really doing good deeds. There is a great deal of oil offshore there, & all the US is really concerned with is the bottom line. If the US helps Nigeria (lots of oil there too) but ignores places like Darfur, you should be able to get the picture. Try www.rense.com.
