I think they have taken all the children. The original article didn't make it sound that way, but all the quotes that I posted from his neighbors indicate that the other children were taken awhile ago, and they have not been back, and the neighbors hope they never come back. More than one neighbor "heard" and saw Irish hitting a 2 year old across the face! Also, Taylor filed charges against him for hitting and choking her. The baby would have been in grave danger in that home.

thank you for being one of the few who have responded in this thread who actually researched this story, instead of just taking Alex Jones' word for it

I listened to Alex Jones interviewing the couple and I gotta say WOW. That's just absurd, what are we coming to now adays. The father wasn't even in a militia which the papers claimed. Oathkeepers isn't a militia, they are just trying to uphold the constitution. It's a shame to hear about stories like this, I certainly hope they get their baby back.

I'm not going to say that the children may or may not have been in danger in that home.
I don't understand, if the neighbor saw that, why she didn't call the cops, and they didn't arrest him and put him in jail.

I really, don't understand why this sort of stuff can't be handled with the normal criminal justice system. I know that I have heard that it would strain their resources. Maybe if they weren't fighting 'the drug war' they could attend to crimes like violence against children.

Ok, that said..... Why did no one ever have to prove that the GOVERNMENT wasn't a BIGGER danger to children than the families? Have you ever looked at how many children die while in foster care? Or how many end up with mental problems - and a lot of that deals - not just from the issues of the families they came from, but a lot of times, from the abuse they suffered as foster kids.

I had a patient once. She was really quite crazy. Her mom died when she was young. She had not been abused by her mom - but she was in several foster homes and was abused in ALL of them, the last one being a man that raped her and burnt her as a teenager.

I was a psych nurse for 14 years. There's a LOT of those stories out there. The DFCS (CPS) system as we know it - it isn't that long it's been so involved in family life. I expect, any day now, that there will be a survivors of DFCS group started so these stories get out. Might already be one - I dunno. It looks like it IS starting on youtube though. There's survivors of CPS stories out there.

I follow them. Nearly every day - if you follow them, and I challenge you to - you will see widespread abuse IN THE SYSTEM BY THE GOVT. Kids abused, neglected, raped, killed. You'll also see a lot of DFCS workers arrested for child molestation.

So anyway, while we all sit here informally putting this guy and his wife on trial - why don't we put the govt.'s kinda care on trial too.

What happens when you really DO love your child, and someone accuses you and they take your child before you can prove your case? You probably won't accept my challenge, to follow them in the news, because if you do, you'll life in fear until your child is of age.

Thanks for being the voice of reason in this thread.

It's clear Mr. Irish is not in the right here more than the "big bad government" is in the wrong. Yea...the CPS made a mistake, but that doesn't mean Mr. Irish didn't hit those kids, or have cops called out or any of the other things he is accused of that people are slowly coming out saying is true.

Live on the Alex Jones show, he is talking to Johnathan Irish. He and his wife were allowed SUPERVISED visitation with their daughter. The baby was barely responsive, so the mother decided to change the child's diaper. As the diaper was removed, the diaper was filled with blood. The baby was rushed to the hospital. Mr. Irish was denied to be in the room by CPS while the baby was being treated, however the sheriff overrode their decision, and allowed access.

Yep, CPS messed up on this one. Hope they get their due and are working at McD's soon.

Uhh, this was a newborn. Was the mother neglectful or abusive in the way she delivered the child?

Not saying this happened in this case but in Canada I've seen social services take kids because the neonatal cord blood test done at birth showed that the mom had used drugs during pregnancy. So yes they can take a newborn for neglect in the womb.

I think the fact that she still lives with Irish was the reason for the neglect. The other two children were abused and removed, and she has refused to separate herself from her abuser. Plus, as posted above, sometimes the hospital can find signs of neglect by the condition of the baby. Maybe drugs, maybe malnutrition, maybe statements by the mother.

Now, as for the claim that the baby was unresponsive and had a diaper full of blood, that is extremely scary, but surely we aren't assuming it is a result of foster care? I hope it is an exaggeration by the parents for the Alex Jones show. Yes, I know foster parents are occasionally abusive, especially to teenage girls and boys, but this newborn's care is under constant scrutiny right now. If there is any reason for it to be unresponsive or have complications it is surely due to something that happened in the womb, not something that happened in the few days of foster care with nationwide attention.

The New developments in the Cheyenne Irish CPS kidnapping case are going to blow this wide open.

John Irish called into the live show on Alex's cell phone at about 12:40CT.

When the mother and father were given visitation due to public pressure, and the baby arrived she was lethargic... they decided to change the baby's diaper since that will usually rouse the child... when the diaper came off their was blood all over her vaginal area.

The DHHS worker that was there to supervise the visitation mumbled..."We're screwed." overheard by Irish.

The only source is still Irish himself and the Alex Jones show.

If the allegations turn out true, then DHHS is certainly "SCREWED" and more!! Not only will this family get all their kids back and a nice fat settlement, but every other family in the state will sue, and every foster parent in the state will be investigated and the entire agency will get washed out and restructured.

I hope this is just Irish and AJ being dramatic, but who knows? It could be true I suppose. How stupid would a foster parent have to be to molest this baby with all this national attention and scrutiny?

I too hope it isn't an exaggeration, but since I was listening live, it would have required an awful lot of planning on their part. Mr. Irish was on the phone with Alex Jones, and you could hear the social worker arguing with him, hospital staff telling him to stop video taping and then requesting police backup, then a hospital representative telling the social worker the sheriff stated the father is allowed to be present during treatment.

Whatever this man and woman have done to place themselves in this situation, the state has lost all credibility for their actions in this case. This has turned into one big cluster of idiots.

As I was typing this Alex Jones gave an update that the police have taken control of the baby while they investigate more. That sounds lame, because the police turn children over to social services when they take control. Hmmmmm.

To prevent abuse they've exposed the child to abuse?

Amazing commentary on government powers, of course the government always knows what is best for any child. This case is proving that!

Too bad, if the father didn't have all of those issues and had not been affiliated with Oathkeepers none of this would have happened.

At this point, I think the sheriff or the Oathkeepers should take the baby home with them. It isn't safe with Irish, or DHHS or the hospital. All concern should be on the baby first, and the laws and rights next.

I am pretty sure the advice I would like to give would violate the TandC of the site, but if there are any OK/ATSers in close proximity to this situation, maybe you should delve in a little more personally!

Doesnt appear to be a source other than freekeene.com but there's

Update (2:30 p.m.) Baby Cheyenne is currently being transported by sheriff’s deputies from the hospital to a sexual abuse specialist on the recommendation of the ER doctor. The baby has regained consciousness, and the sheriff has taken custody of the child from DCYF.

Talk about a twist in a story!

This is crazy, if I didn't know better it would be easy to assume that all of this is being done intentionally to provoke a violent response from the oathkeepers.

The baby is taken from the takers who took the baby to prevent possible abuse/neglect and was in fact abused under their watch?

Even fiction could not have created such a twisted plot.

Perhaps? Wouldn't be the first time the government baited someone into a fight.

Maybe TPTB were surprised at the lack of response of the Oathkeepers and they had to up the ante a little bit? They picked a bad patsy in Irish, because he was such a bad guy already and they underestimated the intelligence of the militia groups? Now, they have to do more to get the emotions up? It is starting to work on me. If this story turns out to be true, then some heads need to roll!

You prove how effective it would be if it is indeed true.

Never underestimate either the intent, or the depth the government will go to achieve a desired result.

If they can indeed provoke a violent response, and that is what is ultimately going on here, then they can annihilate that militia, and/or jail everyone involved.

If the latest development is true, then this could get very ugly.
