So, you talk to your Muslim friends about their faith this way?

So what religion would be allowed in your world?

One that:

- doesn't promote honor killings
- one that doesn't still practice stoning people to death
- one where women aren't treated like garbage.

how about that for starters.

You have been misinformed. Islam does not promote that kind of thing. Fanatics do, Christians and Muslims alike.

You really believe that we are at war between Islam and Christianity?

Islam is at war with the world, not just Chritianity.

It is amazing how completely ignorant of the facts you people are.

The biggest desecration of the area designated as ground zero is the hole in the ground that exists to this day.
I don't care if a Mosque is erected there, I do think it would be in poor taste, though. They own the land, and may build whatever they want as accorded by local zoning laws,
"I" think it's in bad taste; insensitive. And word is now surfacing that the financing is shady, as in one of the co-signers is a former waiter, as of 3 years ago, and is now somehow co-signing a 35 million dollar project.
I also learned that he or another major financial backer donated $600,000 to a charity called "the Holy Land Fund". Shut down by the US Gov't 2-3 years ago for being a front for world wide terrorism.
If either of these prove to be true, I believe the US justice department will do what the protesters could not.
Or did the Erick Holder order to not prosecute certain crimes also apply to mulims so their fellings don't get hurt?

What religion did this? I thought the US govt did it! And we all know the US is a SECULAR country, got it! And yes Muslims in the US armed forces where right there as well.

How about one that doesn't take us to war that results in the death of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraq and Afghan people?

Dominionism is actually pro-stoning too.

But none of this is about 9/11. It's election year and the right needs some ammo. A mosque already existed in the area and no one cared. Why now?

And that mosque still exists... and your point?

Dude, both Bush and Blair have gone on record to bring god into the equation. Both said that their faith was instrumental in the decision to go to war.

Your post kind of got mutated with the others jumping on the right-wing band wagon screaming nonsense about nonsense.

Ah, yes. It must be the Beck effect.

Oh yeah? So show me the record, since they were 'on the record' please.

There is something called 'seperation of chuch and state'.

Just a quick correction:

"Half the property for the 13-story center is owned by Consolidated Edison." So they don't own it.

With respect, I think you are at war with yourself.

How does Islam affect you as a person? Does it stop you from living your life?

I believe that everyone everywhere in the world should support the rights of their fellow humans to live and believe they want to.

The fact is that is not going to happen.

The fact is that many of the so-called "Christians" are the instigators of persecution against others that don't believe like they do.

It is a fact that in this country people's rights to freedom of expression and religion have been stripped them many times by usually the "Christian" group that is in government.

It is a fact that the constitution of the United States was set up to protect people's freedoms. And it is a fact that the Supreme Court has been used on many occasions to uphold the peoples right to free speech, to freedom of assembly, to freedom of religion.

One day people will tire of false religion though. And the clergy of Christendom is going to be the first to fall.

Can you smell the desire that is on the air already to devastate that worn out harlot? Yes, you who are in Christendom and pretend to parade around in God's name, you are the first that are going to fall.

We will continue to fight for our rights until the leaders of the world unite, and by then it will be too late. They will strip religion and expose her for what she really is and then tear her to shreds, and burn up what is left.

You should fight for the rights of the freedoms of all people for as long as you can as well. For when those rights go away it will already be too late. The hammer will have fallen, the trigger pulled, and their will be no going back.

Good thing people have stood up to these religions and other groups who desired to take over the world.

Right now it is Islam that is trying to conquer the world, and it is time for people to stop up the plate and defend themselves from this next totalitarian take over attempt.

I really don't care about his real estate problems.

3rd: Actually, I suggested that a strip club, or several strip clubs should be built in Mecca, and while they are at it, stop allowing marriage to 8 year olds now that is sick, some holy city. Too much to ask I guess. By the way, Mecca is much more comparable to Rome, not just the Vatican.

2nd: Where in the sam hill did that come into the equation?

You might want to pick up a copy of Blair's recent book.

It's all in there.

the constitution, I challenge you how exactly not allowing people to build houses of worship doesn't violate the constitution. Good luck in explaining that one

You must be confusing me with another poster. I never said this wasn't legal.

How many times does this constitutional arguement have to be brought up. And how many times must the answer be said that what is legal and what is right to do are two totally different things.
I agree. Just as Muslims have the right to build a community center, you have the right to speak out against it. Sure, your reasoning for speaking out against it is, to put it bluntly, stupid, but still you are well within your right to say it.

I didn't know Britian is now a Christian Theocracy! This is news to me.

And saying ... 'Dude, its all in there, trust me' Isn't proof of anything.

Present proof or I don't believe you, and know I'm not taking your word for it.
