You want to know whether there is a conspiracy within ATS. By your own definition, a conspiracy requires some form of illegal or unlawful behavior.

Where is the violation of the law within your assertion? How exactly is that occurring?

That could also be due to "shills" in the form of friends, or even
duplicate accounts here at ATS.

Or it may just be that due to sheer volume of visitors to this site
somebody is always around to star, flag, or comment at any given moment.

Of course there are paid posters.

Otherwise, how can you explain that there is people out there who still support the "war on terror" by the US/UK gov?

How can you explain people that defends the actions of torture families, beating kids, blowing up dogs as "war"?

How can you explain people defending the actions of ObamaBush enforcing laws to make the freedom of speech on the USA ineffective? So when someone day something against the gov they will make it sound like your a lunatic/hater/whatever...?

And list goes on and on...
Yes, there are paid posters, but also A LOT of just plain dumb stupid people around that support the things mentioned above.

Wouldnt surprise me, the way some come out to bash on the three big theories out there.

Truthers, Birthers, and chemtrailers.

Seems these three get hit hard by disinfo agents.

Does anyone get paid?

I very much doubt it.

As much as I enjoy ATS and how serious I take it at times, let's face it, when has anything that has occurred on here ever had such far reaching implications to the world outside of here or the 'alternative thinking' community as a whole that it would warrant professional debunking or intervention.
If something requires debunking then ATS members are the very best there are.

I don't doubt the validity and importance of some of the topics discussed and aired here, just the effectivenenss of getting that information across to the public at large and it then being taken seriously.

I suspect that is at the very heart of the developments The Amigo's have for this site.
So that they can open up discussion and awareness to as many people as possible, (and a bit more profit, but hey, we live in a real world!).

Maybe then ATS will have paid posters.

Yup that's one reason I don't start many topics anymore, it is always the same group that shut me down.

Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.
11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.

According to Alinsky, the main job of the organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting. “The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.”

There are probably a few.Probably mostly from political parties.
But there are probably a lot more "passionate" than paid posters here.

some people pretty much live to convince people they are right about, whatever, politics, puppies, or patriotism.
I am more worried about people in the media that reaches the mainstream being paid (other than by their employers) to incite hysteria around certain issues.
The kind of people here are already seeking an alternative to mainstream ideas, media and discussion so we are a less likely target then those who are exposed only to the most popular papers, TV stations and radio programs.

I tend to choose the same topics again and again such as breaking alternative news.Because the truth is i don't have the time or patience to read and comment on, for instance the Grey area.Because to me I've heard it all before, some people believe in aliens and some people think they have been abducted. You get the same stories over and over, reading and posting there seems so circular to ME.
I'm far more interested in current events, politics and social issues.
So that's where i post.

I believe there are infiltrators, there has to be on a forum this large,

I find it hard to believe people still make excuses for this administration,

So I don't fully understand their motivation, unless it is bind loyalty, or they are part of the deception with a hidden agenda.

How's that?

Some people are ALWAYS going to support any war, or invasion, or ethnic cleansing. The fact people are still supportive of these things does not prove that they have been paid to post!

It's ridiculous to think anyone who has a different opinion than you on war, bush or obama is a spy involved in a conspiracy where money has changed hands!
You cannot seriously be that self absorbed that you accuse anyone of disagreeing with you on certain topics a paid spy.

I would proabably agree with you on many topics, but this is a little far fetched.
And i stress i am not discounting there are paid posters here. There are most likely SOME.
I do wonder how much someone could really achieve by offering monetary incentive for someone to post certain views on a forum such as this.

In Canada, the feds wanted to know more about the neo-nazi movement, if they were violent or not.
So a secret agent was sent to become a member and soon enough, he became their leader and when it was made public, via MSM, he had been their leader for 15 years, and the feds were funding him up to 1.5 millions $... annually... for his inquiry in neo-nazis...

And recently, someone posted something about a few ATS members being "on the radar" by the feds for comments here.

I'm pretty sure there are paid posters as you say. They are easy to spot, as they are the one denying every possible conspiracy. It's like old people watching porn all night and complaining about the nude scenes...

We have been so divided politically, race, and religion, that paid posters are most likely unnecessary in the US for this site.

However Im sure there are paid Chinese disinfo agents here.

No but really, its possible but I doubt it. This board is hard to find if you don't know about it before hand.

Of course some posters here are being paid. And some of those payments are being made by large advertising firms, under the banner of "Interactive Advertising." Interactive advertising has, over the last 10 years, become the fastest growing sector of the advertising industry.

It works like an online brothel. Posters and bloggers register with an agency, the agency takes orders from clients as to what message they want spread, and these online whores do it for money for whatever client they are assigned to.

How to recognise online whores:

- They repeatedly post emotive arguments with no evidence, or only use evidence from pre-digested talking-point sites.

- They never notice their assertions have been proved wrong, and keep repeating them over and over.

- They will do anything to get replies to their posts, in order to have excuses to keep posting, as they get paid by the number of posts.

- They often have set "talking points" they are paid for, and you will see these same points repeated ad infinitum.

- Sometimes there is an upper limit the client will pay for. During the intense debate on swine flu, one pro immunisation poster managed to post exactly 50 posts on the subject every day.

Thanks for showing up in this thread and supporting the OPs claim.

So tell me, do you get paid by the post, by the day, or are you on a salary?

You are the epitome of a disinformation artist.

You are also one to benefit from the advice I gave to the other poster.

I debate a lot of conspiracy theories, therefore some people are convinced that I could only be paid by someone to express my opinions.

And therein lies the danger of conspiracy theories. For some people it snowballs into believing that anyone disagreeing with you is a government agent sent to counter your opinion.

Please, spare me the BS....and don't confuse my words. A healthy debate is great, and I support anyone's own personal take on a specific topic.

However, if one was to go to your historical posts it would be quite obvious to what I am referring to.

Why? Because you don't debate.....instead you ridicule, patronize, and try to derail just about every thread you go into, particularly 9/11 threads.

It's common sense really.....why would anyone that had no interest in the conspiracies of 9/11 continuously post in there? They wouldn't, not unless they were interested in deciphering new information and being open minded to alternate theories. Since you clearly are not, the only other alternative is that you have a motive to be there.

You are the typical disinformationist.....right out of the psychological operations handbook.

Do me a favor and save your BS rhetoric for someone that doesn't know better.
