Yea, that worked so great in the Soviet Union! China! N. Korea! There is a long paper-trail of the "working for the common good as opposed to the individual" where things didn't end up in carnage. The problem is, I can't find it. Please show me one example, just one, where working for the masses has brought about utopia. Controversial? No, silly...yes!

My analysis of life is that it really is based on natural selection per se.

Life is full of disappointment, but one must have courage. The courage to live with whatever you have.

I went from living with no electricity and closed shelter to a $200k house.

Sometimes I wonder why the Westerners are so spoiled while Asians and Africans are suffering at the hands of them.

Now they say they are having a "Sergeant at Arms remove the disturbances from the gallery"...that is after they motioned to suspend rules.

Now a 5 minute vote to reconsider? After allowing 25 minutes for the initial vote that is only allowed 15 minutes? This is gut wrenching to see how badly we are being buried alive and at any cost.

I can't wait to see tomorrow.

I would advise you to calm down and read your own screen name. Why would someone become angry when an EMT shows up to aide them after a car wreck?

Well, millions are unemployed and lots of american families lost their homes. Besides many other issues, all these are signs of a falling empire.

Soon or later your life will be affected too and better to be prepared for that.

Wow..yet another 'America is dying, dead, injured..whatever' kind of thread. I think most of us get it, America is crap and going downhill.. it may just do the country as a whole some good to get knocked down a few pegs. No one should always think they are the best of the best, thats just silly...it may help to put things into perspective for them...perhaps..

for the love of god please stop watching fox news its rotting your brain America is not going to fall its changing we may become a bit more humble maybe a little less arrogant maybe we will stay out of other countries business maybe just maybe we can repair our relationship with the rest of the world. I love this country but we have collectively made mistake after mistake ever since we let old G.W.B claim victory in an election he lost. We need to stop worrying about the rest of the world and fix our own country so we can be great again.

Good sir, I'm afraid you've mistaken the "good of the people" with the "good of the dictator". Infact, you are correct! Utopian socialism has never been properly executed, and probably never will! But I do come from a country where we have Socialized health care and other social programs that would make any American republican sick to their stomach and I can assure you that the next time I pay taxes when I buy something, it's going to a damn fine cause.

Do you know what contributing to others is? Do you know what it means to be able to help someone else? I do, because I pay taxes. The health care system here is funded by the population for the population.

If you believe your individuality will save you, please take a look at the history of the United States. Personal liberties and freedoms? Sure! Just make sure the corporations get 'em too!
