The reality of the international corporate influence in our political system hasn't quite struck me yet. It's just too unreal.

I know. It's scary. Democracy, sovereignty, individual freedom is all in danger. it's very upsetting.

Yet for some reason I'm arguing with someone (sub)who doesn't even take any consideration to what I"m stating.

Our economy is falling apart at the seams. Jobs are gone...homes are continuing to be foreclosed on...an estimated 3 million more this year ALONE....and this guy is calling me names! LOL

People need help. I'm barely making it syphon....

Look, just take your Wal-Mart National ID Card, and your McDonalds Government Sponsored Feed Bag ration and move on. Other countries have it worse, so stop your complaining!! This is a free market! Go live with the commies.

Very predictable that unemployment is up this month. When you put your focus

on Nationalized Health Care instead of creating long term jobs for the people

the end result of more unemployment is to be expected. ^Y^

OP you are a Commie Socialist, for cripes sake you make me look like Ayn Rand

How can you be for freedom if you are against the business's that create the real jobs?
Its not the governments job to tell business's how to do the business, thats real freedom.
The goal of the government, ONLY role it has is to prosecute fraud and attack terrorists.
The reason the economy sucks is because the government made business's over leverage. If there wasn't all this socialism business's could hire workers for the same as Haitians or Chinese and we could compete. Then they could get many more workers for the same money and business could prosper, which would create more of these jobs and America would prosper! EVERYONE WOULD BE EMPLOYED!!! Just think of the opportunity you are passing up, I mean if you got an education you could make twice as much

You think about it and come on over from the dark side, Progressives love corporations and terrorists, while Real Americans love babies, apple pie, hard work and birds of prey, the choice is clear...

I simply do not care anymore. I am struggling...millions of Americans are struggling and these GD mega international corporations DON'T CARE.

I'm tired of playing to ideology. I'm tired of hearing that capitalism/socialism is evil. I DON'T CARE.

The railing against the "progressive' movement was created to keep the poor from coming after the rich.

you can thank Glen Beck for that. He's misdirected millions into his rhetoric...and I was once one of them....but no longer.

F U GB. Gutless Pig.

This post is the one that shows it the most it is basically a commercial for the progressive movement in my eyes and maybe I am seeing it wrong. How did Glen beck misdirect exactly? And is that really the reason behind the the anti progressive talk? I smell very good propaganda or a very confused individual.

No its true, look at this guys history, he used to post Keith Olberman youtubes
and links to Greatfuldead concerts, seriously check his history, total Democrap, Communist shill...

His old avatar used to be of Bono and the one before that was a picture of sign saying
"WELCOME TO SAN FRANCISCO", total faker. Even worst he use to link hate videos about Glen Beck

Check These out!!! He is a total Pinko

Read the OP posts it says the OP is against the corporations and that the progressives are not that bad and then in the same breath says I am a conservative? It is like some kind of mind game propaganda that makes no sense. If you are for freedom and liberty how do you not have that when you take the free market away?

There has not been a free market in generations, therefore your premising everything on free market principles is foolish. It does not contend with the reality, a free market
depends exclusively on market forces, considering that such a thing does not exist makes your idea, when put into action, a MONSTER. A market is either free or regulated, this is not 1776 when a man could strike out and find free land to claim
and develop, things have changed, your ideas do not translate thru the centuries because the world has changed. Now your ideas invite Foreign interests directly into OUR AMERICAN political system, such a notion did not exist in the good days.

OP seems to recognize this fact and has updated his ideas based upon PRESENT circumstances, I NEVER got a slightest inkling that the Founding Father intended this Republic to be dominated by the unimaginable wealth it is today, yet you ignore this
and transpose the theory to today, less some very current and IMPORTANT additions
to the big picture.

Yes the government is too large, but that is how it is , best thing we can do is address the pressures that intend to SUBVERT the true intent of this nation as they arise. Your ideas will have us picking the modern day equivalent of cotton for the sake of the machine and possibly nostalgia. You ignore the hazards of money to your detriment sir and you forget who funds the elections, there is your culprit, yet you encourage this very disfunction thru inaction and praise.

In this regard I would say you need to take stock in this modern world, if you are for America then don't call the Chinese hither while your lips protest the very thing your gestures invite.

You are displaying rather disgusting behavior here on ATS. I looked at the links you posted for the sake of principle, and none of them you posted present any of your claims.

As a matter of fact, you say the OP "used to post Olbermann videos", yet in one of the links you posted, an Olbermann video, the OP is criticizing both Olbermann and his guest when they bash the Tea Party protesters.

You're using a pathetic straw man and personal attack here. Yet you haven't even addressed anything else.

Lets make it simple are you a progressive or do you think they are right?

Do you even know what a progressive is/was?

Glenn Beck's tool self may use it to describe people he doesn't like but the generally accepted view of "Progressives" is that of a political movement originating within the populist party at the end of the 19th century. The greatest champion of progressives was actually a Republican-Teddy Roosevelt.

Really, you can't rewrite history.

It's typical for unemployment to spike after the holidays. Just about always happens between Dec and Feb as companies lay-off seasonal help. Alot of companies were hanging-on hoping for a decent holiday shopping season and some were bitterly disappointed resulting in still more lost jobs.

As we move into Feb-Apr you're going to see a slight lowering of the unemployment as the Census begins hiring for the 2010 Census. Additional hiring will run through the Spring for the follow-up in the fall.

Big buisness are the ones that shipped the jobs overseas, not the government. Both are in bed together and niether care one iota about any of us. Defending big business is just as asinine as defending government. You nor I have any control over any of it. Manufacturing has disapeared leaving my nation and yours a large service sector industry with some technology distribution. Its a whole continent devoted to moving money around but produces little for themsevles. I understand the mistrust of government but to put faith in multinationals, I feel, is not a sound idea.

And communism as an ideal is wonderful, the problem is people and our greed. Capitalism is also a great ideal the problem again is people and our greed.

Cheers
