I know the world has been shaken and fundamentally changed over the past 5.5 months, however I still find it difficult to take seriously anything that
comes from Fox News. Yes I've heard Glenn Beck, and yes, what he's says sounds true and worth listening to.
But we need to ask ourselves, given what we knew about Fox prior to the economic downturn, what might they be attempting to gain from getting us
'conspiracy nuts' on board as well? Is it to gain more viewers in order to capitalize on advertising, or could it be what it's always been - to
unite the viewship in fear - straight-laced pro-gov types and conspiracy theorists alike?
Now that terrorism is playing second fiddle to the economy, it seems very obvious that news execs would naturally jump on this and play it up (to the
levels they played up possible terrorist attacks in the past).
I pose this question only for the reason of 'keeping it real' here on ATS - why is a Fox spokesperson so readily accepted as the new voice of
