Ten percent is nothing. Try like half or more of the working people in this country not coming to work for a week and telling their employers not to pay them for the week. Cut payroll taxes to the feds, city, state, and local governments for one week.. just as a down payment for what is to come.

That we be a lot more effective if there was an organized resistance ready to roll and take things into their own hands.... unfortunately there isn't.

Oh please. give me a break.

Several years from now some of you will be glad that this bill was passed.

The only ones that would have a problem with this bill passing are the ones that don't need it YET.

If you still are able to afford health care ten years from now, thank a democrat.

I hope the "Liberals/Progressives/Democrats" enjoy their "Socialized Medicine" which they claimed will never be Socialized, and we would never be forced to do anything...

The goal of Socialism has ALWAYS been about taking the free will, and free choice of people, and turning EVERYONE into mindless robot slaves.

But of course they never believed this, and believed the lies that giving power to the state will free them.....

This has happened many times before. I had to escape with my parents a country that at first accepted true Socialism/Communism, and when FREEDOM was taken away from people, only then the "workers" who wanted the "CHANGE" realized what they had allowed to happen.... and there were many who didn't want it, fought and died, and many were executed by Che who was no other than castro's main executioneer...

I never thought this would happen, much less in the United States, and much less when MILLIONS of people have had to flee, or died trying to flee true Socialism/Communism..

The Socialist elite ALWAYS can count in the naive attitute of the ignorant people, which is not really their fault to be ignorant, but who ALWAYS accept the lies, and think that Socialism/Communism will free them, when in fact it only puts chains on them, and takes away their right to FREEDOM, and their right to CHOOSE what they want to do....

So "Liberals/Progressives/Democrats/Socialists/Communists" thank you for bringing CHAINS to all of us......

But perhaps now that the regular people who voted for these "CHAINS" will start to see what true Socialism/Communism really is, then maybe, maybe they will realize that FREEDOM should NEVER be given away for ANY REASON.....

We will only get our freedom back if we take to the streets in the MILLIONS, and show them that we do not want this... We do not want the Socialist/Progressive elite to make choices for us.....

I just hope it is not too late....

I will hate to see the United States become another Socialist dictatorship..... But that is the road that MANY of the American people as well as others around the world were brainwashed into embracing, and accepting as "the only choice".....

It is a shame that these people cannot see that history is repeating itself...

People like me have been warning you about this....but unfortunately very few wanted to listen to those who have experienced true Socialism/Communism and were warning about this....

Again, I just hope there is something we can do without violence to stop this....before it is too late...

So if I don't get vaccinated I"m out?LOOPHOLE....YES!!

You can bet that the government won't let that happen.

You say: GOOD! I don't want their stinking health care!
What the government will do: The CPS will come and take your children, saying you put them in danger, unfit parent, don't give them proper care.

You know they gonna do it. Hell they are already doing it to good parents for no reasons.

And to those who voted for Obama, you get the bill:
New Study: Young People Will Pay More Under Obamacare
Most of Obama supporters were in the 18-29 age, 66% of that age group voted for him. Vote for Obama, now you've got to pay more.

I wander how this will affect the market come Monday.......

I would imagine Consumer Confidence would be at an all time low, or would it.

Thats

Hey, but you still haven't commented back in regards to the ten year 131% inflation in the current system.

As the one fellow said "at this rate health insurance will equal the entire adjusted GDP in 2080."

I would add to your statement "and in seventy years our grandchildren will be operating on themselves..."

I say if this passes the Senate and gets signed by the President we order a national strike for one week. Let them get a taste of getting no payroll tax revenue off our working behinds.

I call National Strike.

National Strike? Haven't you heard the news? More than 10% of us are already on strike. ;-)

As for Obamacare... how ironic that our first black President is the one that brings back indentured servitude! That's what this is... "Work to pay your debt we say you owe us, or we send you to jail."

Well I have news for these power tripping lunatics. I'm not buying health insurance, I'm not paying a fine, and I'm not going to jail. Take that for what you will.

Ok, everyone organizing and not working is something close to reality. For how long could we strike? A day, A week? I kinda like my job and providing for my family.

Now lets get more realistic...If you want to hit the TPTB where it hurts, lets organize a nationaly bank withdrawl. If everyone pulled their money out of the bank it would be legal and it would crash the fed. It would also probably crash the dollar and thus the economy. Now people would be ready to revolt.

Next option, wait six months and above option happens on its own.

Phil

Well the lot of you go to jail to prove a solid point - that is what a true revolutionary would do. Clog up the jails, there is not a better way to prove solidarity and kill an oppressive force.

That would work, only now prisons are privatized, so you'd actually be GIVING them more money.

90% of the prisons here in AZ are already privatized.... thats just #ing wrong

You know I wouldn't be suprised to see the market jump up on this news. The market is mostly short term. In the short term this is a boon to the health insurance and health care idustry. 30 million new government funded customers. Who wouldnt like that?

But I wouldn't hold onto health insurance stocks too long, because this Public Option is just the first step on the short road to single payer. The Dems all admit. I have seen them admit it on MSNBC numberous times. Single payer will wipe out private insurance and the costs will sky rocket, so will the taxes, and then the debt, and then the whole market will come tumbling down. Then hello hyperinflation.

OP please edit your original posting and put this link in there. This link shows who voted and how much money they get from insurance agencies vs. how many people in their district are without insurance. Interesting.

Yeah I did answer back a long time ago. I said that this healthcare reform does NOTHING to address growing healthcare costs. The reason insurance rates rise is because the cost of care is rising astronomically. This bill does little to address the cost of care, it just moves the burden to the government, which means eventually the debt will rise astronimically or care will have to be rationed or taxes will be raised and raised to cover the expense. Welcome to hell.

Why should they thank them. Tell me what there is in the bill that guarantees people will be able to afford healthcare?

Show me guaranteed savings that have been written into the bill.

Don't bother with a "could, would, should, might, may, ought to" in the sentence.

Show me the ones with "WILL Save, Will Reduce."

10 years?

really?

Like I stated in another thread to someone who used this arguement,
Who says there is even going to be a America in 10 years? The ways these democrats keep pushing stuff through without the public approval,
I wouldnt be suprised if America was anything but a big pile of burnt up brush. In the meantime, the Obamatrons will just sit back and say "
I love it, now this is change i can believe in" while seeing their fellow men and women being raped on all fronts all because they HAD to doas their lordtold them. I got an idea, why dont those of you who just sit back and laugh just start yourown Obama religion? That would give you more than enough justification to do the things you are doing. "It was done because lord obama told us it must be done, or we wouldnt get our virgins".

Yes both parties do suck and as I stated previously, a third party is not a solution but only contributes to the problem. We can’t be reluctant to pull the trigger, there is no “too early” but there is a “too late.” For decades, we’ve tried the voting thing and it’s never accomplished anything good for the majority of people, but has made others rich beyond our wildest dreams. How much more handwriting on the wall needs to be seen? Do they have to come out publicly and laugh at us?

That is actually not a bad idea... but it would totally eff the economy and it might take us all down with it. But it sure would make one hell of a point.

The public option wouldn't kill the health insurance industry. They would see a downturn for a short period of time, then when the government was forced to cut services due to lack of money, the health insurers would be back; offering supplemental plans. Just like in oh where was that...Canada.
In the US AARP is one of the largest supp insurers, and they supported the bill.

Nothing will HTF Monday, because the whole intent for passing this at midnight on a Saturday is to allow a long enough "cool down" time for the angry people. You have all day Sunday to cry and moan, drink, smoke, yell, whatever, then come Monday morning, it is back to the old grindstone again.

Most people will lament while sitting in rush hour traffic, or on a bus, or in the subway, or staring out the window in school - just how mad they were and wonder what to do next, but anger fades quickly to apathy.

This administration has been playing this country like a fiddle, pulling their crap on weekends from the time Obama got elected. This *is* quite intentional. But, I think they underestimated the average citizen.

I say vote them out, drop party lines, and vote independently on whomever you feel best fits the needs of our country.

Just be careful with the revolution talk, you never know who is watching

Here's one of the funniest (of many) quotes from Dem's regarding their vote:

"It provides coverage for 96 percent of Americans."

Uh, shouldn't "universal" healthcare cover 100% of the population, by definition? Before this multi-trillion dollar, "historic" bill, there were realistically about 16 million uninsured Americans (discounting the 20 million illegal aliens currently in the US). After this multi-trillion dollar bill, there will still be about 13 million uninsured Americans (4% of the population) according to the excited Democrats themselves.

So we'll spend trillions of taxpayer dollars over the next few years just to provide insurance coverage for what amounts to about 1% of the US population.

I can't wait for the 2010 mid-term elections. The Dems will get crushed.

Plus, just what does this have to do with alien abductions? Will the "public option" cover any medical conditions resulting from being probed or even impregnated by the grays? And why would the US taxpayers need to cover these events? After all, shouldn't one logically assume that any progressive race of beings, whether from Europe or another galaxy, would have a "universal" health plan of their own that provides for these situations?

Just wondering.
