The Bill has passed 220-215....

Currently on C-Span the House is debating the health care plan. I think after the debate they move to vote on the Bill. Depending on the outcome! it'll then move onto the Senate. (If it passes)

Last night i heard that the Bill is not 2000 pages and Democrates are not showing Republicans another 800 they want to add. (not sure at what point)

Check it out.!

Mod Edit: Changed thread title to reflect status of the bill.

This is the make of the House:

•435 Members
•Party Divisions
•258 Democrats
•177 Republicans
•0 Independents

The Republicans will have to get 41 democrats to vote their way, to win by 1 vote. (That's if all Republicans vote No).

They still debating but get read to be taxed more.

A Saturday vote around midnight...

If it is so damn good, why does it need to be snuck in at such an odd hour on a weekend?Almost reminds me of the ratification of the unconstitutional direct tax on income.

Oh wait, it is another direct tax on income. Imagine that.

I've been watching this too, and earlier they said they would debate for four hours and now has been over eight hours.

I have no doubt that this will pass. They've got the votes, but they are turning this into a marathon session.

CNN is reporting that they know 35 Democrats are planning on voting "No". I know there won't be any republicans voting for this, so that leaves 321 remaining democrats and they need 318 to pass. This may be closer than I thought.

If that amount of Democrats vote early in the voting maybe it'll swing others siting on the fence to vote NO!

If most of them want a job next year, they will vote against it.
When it comes to all these scum bags, they in the end only look out for themselves. Party lines won't have anything to do with that.

On the other hand, they could be just hoping the Senate takes care of it later.

After this last delay they should be doing the final vote on this bill.

So they are calling this the "America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009".

So I guess that is AAHCA for short.

I have dibs on calling it ACHOO.

We'll find out about that AMA endorsement, Barack Hussein Obama just touted.

The American Medical Association's much-touted endorsement of the House health care reform bill has triggered a revolt among some members who want the endorsement withdrawn.

Some members are outraged that the group's trustees made the endorsement without the formal approval of the organization's House of Delegates.

And if we can't then we get fined or go to jail...

They made it. Now what happens? You need to take the MOTB to get health care? Need to take a vaccine?
