Don't people understand after the Civil War how 100 years of "Jim Crow" policies affected his family?

Finally we can have a black man that fully embodies the struggle and triumph of black people in America.

make obama white and people would still hate

i honestly think it's the response from the republican side from 8 straight years of bush bashing. something that i havent seen so strong in a good while.

and that's my honest response...not some partisan one.

the republican minded were finally fed up with it..and started doing the same...and guess what...obama and his supporters (myself included) do not like it that much...hmm i wonder why...

I thought his family was still in Africa and that he had no slave ancestors.
Are you saying that we should love him because he is black and because blacks suffered after the Civil War?

I am not clear on what you mean.

Obama's Black? That would be news to me. Just because one of his parents was African doesn't quite qualify him as one.
Here's a picture of him and his ma...just how black can he be?

Obama is half black and half white remember, he has ancestors from both sides. And seriously who gives a crap who his ancestors were, or wether hes black or white, it's the person he is that matters, his intentions.

Most people HATE the policies not the person, wouldn't matter if was Obama, Hillary, Pelosi or John Kerry.

Once Neo-coms get that (which most do but MUST continue to play the race card), then we may be able to have a rational conversation about the issues.

In full agreement here... Obama's father is from Kenya, his mother was a Caucasian. No slave history here, unless you are talking about some distant cousins from his great great great grandfather or something... and if that's the case, I want some respect too, since I have Jews, Gypsies, Protestants, and Indians in my family tree.

Besides, I don't think anyone cares about how tan he is; it's his political views and those who he associates with the matter.

Put this in your pipe and smoke it. Where was gov. Bill Richardson of NM born? He ran for president too. In Los Angeles by way of Mexico City?

I believe that is exactly what he/she means.

Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce someone who most likely voted for Obama because of the color of his skin.

-drumroll-

total newbie.

I think total newbie likes to play mind games so I wouldn't take him as serious. He is a genius who plays a fool. By the way,
another great thread newbie. You never disappoint me.

So, ....what?
Are we supposed to feel sorry for him? ... do you think our enemies will?

He was raised by his white Grand Parents.
His father abandoned him.
He knows nothing about the ghetto.
He was raised in Hawaii, and then Indonesia.
He is not exactly brave.

So I ask, what exactly about Obama makes him black?

If you have seen Tropic Thunder you should remember a phrase.

"Never go full retard."

With this thread I believe he went full on fool one to many times.

I do believe you are right. It's just strange to see someone on here be so blatant about it.

Whatever...

What does this have to do with him being president?

Some of us don't hate Obama nearly as much as we hate people who expect us to love him solely for the reason of being black.

That is not exactly true.

He has family members who live in the ghetto in the US and Africa(or whichever country his brother is in).

He knows about it, just never visited them.

I just spit water all over my screen thanks to you.

Never go full on retard.

Thanks for the laugh.

In his defense, Newb has a great sense of sarcasm and also a great sense of what will set people off.

I have that effect on people. Glad I could give you a good belly laugh.

Either he said it and meant it or he said it just to rile people up.

Both are low class.

But I will back off and give him the benefit of the doubt and pretend he meant it in good fun that back fired.

Anglo Saxons suffered in the hands of Italians but you don't see them whining about it.
