My old skatepunk band from years ago was called My Place Might Change.

We failed pretty hard, but we enjoyed it.

Currently trying to form a heavily Tool/APC-influenced alternative band. Working name is False Flag Attack

I actually was in 3 different bands growing up. Obviously we went no further than peoples basements when their parents were gone but the names for the 2nd two - since the first one was never really named, were:

Meltage - Not my choice, but was the majority vote. It was mostly 80's hairhead glam metal stuff.

Burnt Toast - We decided to form and name a band, but never actually got around to jamming. Oh well.

My next few band names (yeah, right) will be:

Wynter Soulstyce
MILF Quest
Ipecac

And of course the Robert Plant cover band Tall Cool One.

The angry raisins.

Good name for a punk alt band.

I tell you where I got it.

The japanese don't have a word for raisins or wrath. So translated, the book: The Grapes of Wrath is The Angry Raisins in Japanese.

I'd name my band "The Orgasmic Tomatoes".

Christmas.

Motley Crue was gonna do it, but they didn't. That would've been a great name.

Great thread concept!

I've been in and out of bands for over 30 years, and the standard line these days is "Ok, ready for the best band name ever?" I've been playing with basically the same band for about 20 years now, and we constantly change the name.

Right now we're Tornado Factory. We've also been known by such names as Nobody Cares, Darth Tater, Liquid Soul, and our original name, Ex Nuns In Drag. Also many others.

I've also played under such names as Giggle Juice, Big Deck, The Barry Williams Trio, K.D. Dax and Catbox, Montezuma's Revenge, Space Anchor, K. Day and the O'Connors, and other silly names.

The latest favorites have been Mugs Fungus, Acid Bomb, and the ever popular Bangin' Grandma.

One of my all time favorites, though not my band, is Rumpleforeskin.

And there's always The Flaming Doughnuts of Jesus.

Glad you like 'em.

It's amazing how many bars refused to advertise "Ex Nuns In Drag" when we played there.

"Vitûar"

Montezuma's Revenge

That's one of the best/funniest I've seen so far.

Sounds like a death metal or possibly a boy band name.

Peace

If I were to make an indie band, I'd definitely call it The South Will Rise Again. Indie bands always have names that are pretentious and annoying as hell, but at least that one would be something we can all have a laugh at.

My last band which played technical death metal (and got nowhere due to members procrastinating) I had named Tenebris Incarnate. It was so brvtal and krieg.

I think we were kinda pushing ourselves a bit too hard, though. Besides, having to try and follow my guitarist's sweep patterns were almost impossible.

Probably a good thing that it dissolved. I know the next time around I'd like to play something a lot more simple. Tech death's aso going out of fashion as far as metal's concerned, too. It's all about that black metal or atmospheric slduge.

UH, i swear that there was a band called that way in Italy: "Pollaio Meccanico": it can be translated as "mechanical chicken coop", or "mechanical poltry house": the type of music that they were used to play was some demential rock, they were funny, their name was funny, their music was funny, so i thought to share it.
