Also don't plants expel Co2 at night, at least some of them? This could effect Farmers and our food prices even more. Just another worrisome
thought.

Screw the plants, what about people? We expel CO2 every time we breath. Give them time, they'll be figuring out some sort of "personal CO2
tax" for the individual.

Heres another shocker they don't tell you did you know oxygen is a stronger green house gas than co2. Co2 tends to to settle to the lowest points
while oxygen being lighter will rise that is why they used to use canaries in mines. So i guess after we try to eliminate co2 we can hit oxygen next
by cutting down all the trees that would have to help lower global temperature right!

Know what is even better than that?
Water Vapor makes up 95% of the greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere. It's all a crock of #. This is nothing, but a power grab.
I hope all the people that want socialism are willing to settle with communism because that is exactly what we are going to get if this climate bill
passes.

Yeah, you can all forget about the US Senate....they are far more corrupt than the house. The house was the only real hope of it not passing.
Thanks MICHAEL JACKSON!! Convenient isn't it. This story gets huge news and takes away from the real story that everyone should be talking
about.
People are freakin idiots.
I can't believe they passed this when people are already struggling..and all for some BS that isn't even proven.

Though I tend to shy away from most of the threads here, I cannot help but raise my voice along with the collective. As much as I despised Bush, I
hold a lesser opinion of Obama; tell ya, more people should have voted for Nader...
With everything that he has done or proposed, my god, it's amazing how blind the Obama followers are / can be. I, just like many of you here, have
taken steps to be prepared in case , oh, how to put this... in case things take a turn for the worse. I've warned my family and my friends, giving
hard evidence to support my claims, and because of that I am now considered more on the "fringe" than before (for those who have read my posts, come
on, how am I on the fringe?)
But now! You would swear that this would make at least a few of the Obama supports stand up! My wife, I love her dearly... she isn't as politically
outspoken as I am (in real life), and she honestly believes that Obama may of had good intentions, and also believes that he is trying but is being
constantly stone-walled by, well... by people and media groups like us. Not her words, mind you, I just summed it up. Initially, I once thought
that yeah, maybe Obama was working for change, especially with the way he was so against Bush and his policies back when Obama was just a
candidate.
I won't go into what changed my mind, as I am drifting further off subject as it is...
GAAAH! Can't even think straight along this subject!
Hey, here's a good one... the whole entire thing about all bills and what-have-you being posted on the internet for, what, a week? before being
voted on... is that pretty much thrown out the window? If the House of Reps were taken by the 3:09am book of 300+ amendums I would assume that that
Obama promise is null and void.
Egads, I can't even think of anything sarcastic or meaningless to say!
EDIT HERE:
I figured out what I was going to say... any one know were I can get the Don't Tread On Me flag for a good price? I plan on flying that in my front
yard to make the job easier for Obama supports.

It passed with 219-212, which means if 8 Republicans voted for it, 211 Democrats voted in favour, and the 212 who voted against it are mostly
Republicans.

Oxygen is not a GHG. Water vapour is however, and water vapour contributes to 95-98% of the greenhouse effect on the TRoposphere, which is where most
weather events occur, and it is the atmospherica layer which affects furcafe temperatures.
CO2 was never the problem. In fact CO2 is beneficial for the green biomass of Earth, which in turn is beneficial to the animal kingdom.
During periods of warming mankind, and nature itself thrives, meanwhile during cold periods everyone suffers, and by the way the Sun is acting we will
soon encounter another LIA as soon as the extra heat stored in our oceans dissipates into the atmosphere.

As I read this thread, I wonder where all the Obama supporters are at? Where are all the ATS members who were going on and on about how Obama is going
to be "hope and change" for the future?
That's exactly what I was thinking, this thread sounds like its straight off of FOX news. They told ya! Fair and Balanced. O'reilly and Hannity were
right on...

Why, oh dear god why, are hardworking ordinary, good people under the feet of these tyrant's? Not just the working people, but those who have nothing
and suffer everyday.
How damn much are we supposed to take?
I don't mean just the financial stuff.
The human species is ripping itself apart at the seams, and the USA seems to want to do little else more than encourage it.
I thought that the USA had values and principals, that were at one point worth fighting for. Who would want to follow our example.
We watch as the entire countries fall into the abysmal depths of crushing defeat, and we still sit home and allow it to happen. Every move the USA
makes is watched closely by the international community. Some example we are setting.
If freedom is ever brought to the other ailing countries, is financial slavery what they have to look forward to. No wonder they fight and we think
it's just out of ignorance.
We are the ignorant ones. We sit on our asses and let things like this happen. We have lost what it is that once made us unique.
Our freedom.
So what now?
I am tired of thinking about this crap. I think I will go throw up now.

Three years back or so I was making a joke in these same boards about how the Global Warming crowd would try to put a tax on pets, and animals, and
soon enough we would have to install a CO2 sensor on their behinds.
Well, that is now not a joke anymore as the Obama administration wants to put a tax on CO2 emitted by pets, and farm animals....

Out of all the people that rape us over day in and day out.. Pelosi is by far the most aggravating. Every time I see her, my teeth clench like the
lion at the zoo as little children are taunting it from behind protective glass. That woman is just no good for anybody but herself and the
corporations she's protecting/enabling.

No, that is wrong. I am an organic chemist. O2 is not a greenhouse gas. It is physically impossible for any homo-nuclear diatomic molecule to be IR
active! Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.

In total seriousness time to start burning up the phone lines of your local senators! go to www.senate.gov... find your senator and start sending
e mails senators tend to be easier to influence in general mostly because there are fewer of them.
If this bill passes into law i will say the United States will loose all hope of leaving a decent life for are children and grandchildren. Because the
sad thing is this bill isn't designed to cost us money now at least not as much the heaviest brunt of this will be transfered to our kids and there
kids.
This bill is so bad that it has allocations for retraining citizens that loose there jobs. It is expected for gods sakes that this will cost the
United States millions of jobs increase energy costs by at least 50% some states even higher such as Pennsylvania which can expect a 100 % increase.
This bill all so effects poorer states much more placing the highest taxes on the poorest states!
The green jobs its supposed to create is a joke most of the jobs will be created overseas since they are trying to establish international
accountability. And here the worst part this will hurt US production but on the other hand countries unwilling to place these caps will make
trillions.China who refuses to lower there co2 emissions will be the only country that makes anything!

How can i become a Canadian citizen?
The USA appears to be going down hill fast.
Vancouver sounds good to me.
Maybe where they filmed First Blood?
Hope, British Columbia?
I could grow Christmas Trees.
I'll get free health care up there!
I just have to stand in line.

You can stop wondering, for the most part they are all deeply immersed in the Michael Jackson death saga. They couldn't have planned for a better
distraction, unless they did?
Guarantees were made to get house votes, those who held I will bet you were approached and told "name your price, we need your vote, let us know what
you want and we will make it happen, just give us your vote"
Not the same as the old days when money was exchanged for votes, though not illegal, what they do now is just as bad and corrupt.
This should show you that the Obama administration far left congress will now stop at nothing to get their agendas through.
Personally I am convinced that Obama knows he has only a little time in which he can get all of these plans through before the people wake up (of
course it will be too late) Obama is likely not expecting to get reelected, and for a massive turnover in the legislative branch in 2010.
That is exactly why they are pushing so hard and fast, they know the clock is ticking.
The problem is that once this kind of legislation is passed it will be extremely difficult to remove or change in the future.
They want to bring down the capitalist system, they have control of banks, financial institutions, the auto industry, and soon health care.
This cap and tax is a part of a total fascist socialist reform plan.
The constitution will be worthless people.
You have not even began to see the worst yet if they get their other plans through.

Ok technically your right but i didnt go into this fully oxygen creates a green house effect by allowing more of suns energy to reach the earth thus
causing evaporation to increase thus causing more cloud cover it was from a nasa study on trying to create this effect on mars. Back to topic.

What really burns my ass (other than a 14" high open flame) is that many of these "environmental specialists" are so narrow in their scope of
study, it's like they have myopia.
I note that the one thing never in their calculations is precipitation.
Think for a moment. If you have a body of water, and you increase the temperature - what happens?
Increase in water vapor, right?
And what is the effect on temperature when we experience precipitation?
Yup. Cooling.
This is a self regulating mechanism, and I would suggest a natural fluxtuation in the heat/cool cycle of our planet.
I believe it was near the founding of our country when we had a mini ice age. It snowed in July here in the US.
The cooling created the famine in Europe and Ireland which in turn fueled the migration to America.
These guys are only looking for major tax dollars and they hide that tax behind this "cap and trade."
Well, I'm laying off the beans and franks for now on. Where can I sell my CO2 savings?
