In the Canadian province of Alberta, the chief medical officer on Friday confirmed the death of a woman infected with the virus. The woman, who was in her 30s and had other health problems, died April 28.

They also made out in the media for about a day and half that she was elderly. When some interest gets lost about hearing about it, suddenly she is in her thirties.

Are you fully aware of the consequences when this virus reaches and infects all fifty states?

Well, according to what I understand it will be declared a federal emergency. FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security will draw up plans to contain the virus - possible quarantine and even restricting movement to certain States.

The army would be drafted in.

A bird flu pandemic exercise scenario undertaken in 2006 in London explored how life and society in general would be affected in the event of a pandemic that infects 15 million Britons . It's an insightful read which can be found here

What exactly were you alluding to though Infinite, what do you envisage happening ?

Cosmicpixie...

After keeping up with these threads since this thing started...

I remember watching CNN the day they announced stage 5...They had one specialist after another for days coming on saying this will be back in the fall with a 'VENGEANCE"...

I can't help but feel.. with all I have read... in many threads...This H1N1 is going to be a BRIDGE...(I think... intentional)

Maybe when this hits where H5N1 is at... Hello death flu...

Fast spreading death in weeks...(millions of people)

After this flu many people might not even take the one in the fall seriously till it's at their doorstep...

After all to many people are waking up to TPTB...

Ah i see, thankyou. So is declaring an emergency country wide when 50 states are infected an optional step or is it by law that it must be declared?

I'm inclined to agree with you. Most people are probably shrugging all this off and not taking it seriously because the news they watch isn't telling them to. They just hear of a mild virus spreading with few fatalities and some "possibility" it might get worse. It's just not in the consciousness of most people I suppose so only a minoroty will be busy preparing for when SHTF. Even if America starts getting really hard hit by it, unless the country other people are living in have been hit hard by it also, most people will just shrug it off and go about their daily lives as if there's nothing to worry about.

It is my understanding there would be no choice.

Once all states are infected, it is a federal emergency.

Hmmm.

I ws reading his confession/warning thread a few days ago...he is no longer on ATS is he ? What did he say about swine flu and what is this making you consider ? I'm intrigued
