well i for one have read your links, that pink cross site is awful! I take it as a man of god you don't hold much stock in science but surely the absolute lack of well sourced data made you wonder about the shocking statistics which fill the site? (hehe ok the ones about how many christian men masterbate from that article might be genuin, the others? HA)

The level of science is shocking in those articles, the essay on masterbation being a prime example -it's full of myths which have long since been disproven. What is his goal in eradicating masterbation? hmmm lets see...

Enjoyment has nothing to do with the the sexual drive, anymore than a drug high is safisfying beyond the moment. Porn promotes the pursuit of sexual *drive*as an *activity*. It is the antithesis of intimacy. Intimacy is a challenging but ultimately the PINACLE pursuit.

To submit to those commericial/political pressures (read that: power-over and money interests) that promote sexuality as it's own end are *depriving you* of the better ultimately HUMAN option.

Everytime you jerk off with a porn flick/feed, you are denying yourself a longterm wholeistic satisfaction with a real human being capable of loving you. LOVING YOU. How long can you be "happy" with "continual GRATIFICATION" that lasts maybe 10 minutes? Not very long -- and that's the basis of addiction.

Ladies, WOULD IT NOT BE BEST on first or second dates to gently and kindly screen for porn watchers ? Sex in and by itself is not the answer to good-- let alone great -- relationships.

Anyway porn just like everything else in life has positives and negatives. Of course there are plenty of women who enjoy their jobs, they enjoy sex etc. And of course there are some who are confused and scared.

Positives and negatives in everything, for example fire: Fire can help keep us warm, cook our food etc, but it can cause destruction and death. That's the way of life.

Not really. Most people in porn absolutely love their job. The people that fall into the category being discussed in the topic as hating it and just doing it for money make one or two movies and never do it again. Regular porn performers are in it because they enjoy it. There is a small percentage that are in it for the money side, but that is a very small percentage because most of the performers don't make very much money. It's only a small number or performers that have big contracts or are in on the production side that have money as a big part of motivation for the job.

I think the world of porn as the OP suggests is quickly becoming extinct. There is too much free porn made by your neighbors on the internet that has really crippled the sales for the big porn industry.

Most big time porn now is around porn stars with a large following, and these people make a lot of money doing their trade. If a person wants to watch porn they can get 10 lifetimes of armature porn for free, but if they follow a porn star and her career then they would be willing to pay.

The days of the young innocent girl off the street pushed into porn and drugs is not profitable anymore with the free competition out there.

Now the sex slave trade is alive and well throughout the world and that makes the US porn industry look like Disney. The OP sounds very involved in this, but if I were he/she I would focus my energies towards this, which is truly an evil exploitation of women.
