British Special Forces are still British troops. Simple fact of the matter is that the statement you quoted is VERY strong language. It will not be something they don't keep their word on.

MUMBAI: Two terrorists carrying guns tonight took 15 people, half of them foreigners, hostage on the roof of the luxury Taj Hotel, one of the
hostages who managed to escape said. ( Watch )

Two youths in their 20s came to the restaurant of the hotel and took 15 people to the roof of the hotel, Rakesh Patel, a businessman from London who lives in Hong Kong, told a TV channel giving the first eyewitness account of what happened in the five-star hotel in South Mumbai.

"The two young boys came to the restaurant and took us upstairs. We were taken to the 18th floor from where we escaped", he said.

Replying to a question, Patel said the terrorists wanted to know if any one of the hostages was carrying American and British passports.

Hostages are on the roof. The terrorists seem to be young men.

There was an explosion near a junction in Vile Parle, near the airport, Times TV said. The remains of a taxicab were strewn at the blast site, television pictures showed. Another explosion in a taxi was reported at Mazgaon dockyard road, PTI said.

Did the grenades do this? Or have they got bombs?

One member of the EU delegation has been wounded. IF, and I mean if, diplomatics are apart of the hostage collective than special forces will be sent - but it would take 36 hours from London to India (unless the SAS come from Afghanistan)

Taj hotel is now on fire.

Mumbai Attacks To Be Linked To Obama’s Target Pakistan Remark?

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet.com
Wednesday, November 26, 2008

Coordinated attacks across Mumbai, India’s financial capital, which have killed up to a hundred people and injured hundreds more, are likely to be blamed on a terrorist organization linked to the Pakistani ISI, providing further justification for controversial U.S. bombings inside Pakistani territory and heightened rhetoric against Pakistan on behalf of President elect Barack Obama.

Terrorists armed with AK-47’s and grenades conduced a series of rampages on hotels, restaurants and public transport facilities today, killing around 80 and injuring over 250 people. Initial reports that terrorists had seized western hostages were later dismissed by Indian government officials.

With the corporate media desperate to pin the blame in order to score much needed propaganda points for the ailing war on terror, suspicion is likely to fall on Pakistan, a country that President elect Barack Obama openly threatened during his presidential campaign.

The bombings in Mumbai will also likely silence questions about controversial U.S. bombing raids inside Pakistani territory aimed at terrorists, strikes that have repeatedly killed innocent civilians.

It is commonly asserted that the Pakistani ISI helps fund and train terrorists.

Journalist Stephen Schwartz notes that several terrorist and criminal groups are “backed by senior officers in the Pakistani army, the country’s ISI intelligence establishment and other armed bodies of the state.” Author Daniel Byman states, “Pakistan is probably today’s most active sponsor of terrorism.”

Indeed, Indian police claimed that the Pakistani ISI directed the July 2006 train bombing in Mumbai which killed 186 people, which was blamed on the Islamist militant group Lashkar-e-Toiba, which is based in Pakistan. Look for the same organization or an affiliated group to be blamed for today’s attacks.

As Bloomberg reports today, “The government has previously blamed terrorist attacks on organizations linked to foreign powers, without offering evidence or making arrests. Local media often blame the attacks on groups backed by Pakistan or Bangladesh, without identifying the security officials who provided the information.”

With the corporate propaganda mills begging for a scapegoat to be used as war on terror propaganda, it won’t be long before an Al-Qaeda-Pakistan link is claimed.

Well if what you are continuously hinting at what you are then this is what can happen:

ISAF/NATO conducts multiple hi-intensity covert operation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border areas..
India either openly attacks camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir or does that with special forces.
India conduct similar operations in areas adjoining Bangladesh.

Repercussions:

Pakistan gets all fidgety.. and can do any of the following:

1) Open new fronts along the southern border to force India to withdraw from Pak occupied Kashmir.
2)Go nuclear..

Very doubtful. This sort of attack requires not only months of planning, but of preparation also. This is a military force, plain and simple. I won't speculate as to who's force it is, but some reports are saying they were "fair skinned"...
