Clicking on the TITLE of a thread in "my ATS" takes me to the first post.
Clicking on the "green pin in page" symbol takes me to the last post.
Should work for everybody yes? Try it.

hey nerbot, thanks for the reply. I tried what you said and sure enough that works except for one thing. I want the new thread to appear in a new
tab so that when I am finished I can just close that thread and still have "My ATS" there ready to look for something else. I know that little icon
sometimes does that. But as I type this I realize that all I need do is go to the top of the page and click on the "My ATS" button again once done
with a new thread, so I guess I don't really have a problem.
cheers mate. thanks again

Anytime you want....rather than LEFT click on a link, just RIGHT click and choose "open link in new tab/window"
Keeps any existing tabs/windows unchanged and open.
Hope that helps.

ps..this method can be applied to ALL browsing, not just ATS

Additionally, depending on which version of MSIE you are running, you can select "open all links in a new tab" that way you'll automatically have a
new tab you can close when finished while leaving "My ATS" open in its own tab.

I use Firefox and my options are set to "new pages should be opened in a new tab".
This function doesn't always function..
I right click to make sure it does.
MSIE...ah yes, I remember.
At least peeps here now know there is a way to keep many balls in the air.
Nice one

Do you have any other tricks up your sleeve for dealing with tabs while browsing ATS?
I use Firefox on a Mac, so right-clicking isn't an option. I can control-click to force it to open in a new tab, but sometimes I'm too lazy to reach
all the way to the keyboard .
Invariably, the link will open in the tab I'm trying to type up a reply in

I'm not familiar with Macs, never touched one in my life.
I understand what you mean about control+click....I'd rather continue stuffing my face than use my other hand to hit "control".
I'm surprised you can't "right click" on a Mac system, why not.
I'd check your firefox settings to see if there's another way...similar to the "open new pages in a new tab" or something similar.
Or get Windows XP pro!
Sorry I can't help more.

Note to staff:
A REALLY useful feature would be a "U2U" function/button on a persons "profile" page.
I get fed up having to open one of their threads just to send a message.
What d'ya fink?

Well, that would be because she's too cheap or lazy to buy a 2 or 3 button mouse for her Mac. I have a 2-button Logitech mouse with a scroll wheel on
my Mac and "right clicking" in Firefox works just fine!
ADB, most USB mice will work fine with your Mac, and in particular Logitech and MacAlly stuff is nearly always Mac-compatible. You can probably get a
2 button mouse on ebay or amazon for less than 10 bucks and won't even have to leave the computer!

You can also type the member's name directly in the To: field. If the member is someone you've made a "friend", you can also click the little
yellow icon next to their name on your friend's list from your profile page. That'll bring up a u2u with the To: field already filled out.

I'd still have to get up to let the postman in though
Actually, I usually use a stylus and pad instead of a mouse. There might be a way to program one of the stylus buttons; I know I've changed the
settings for the buttons on the pad. And I don't really use the "scroll" function that the lower stylus button is set to anyway. It's worth
trying. Thanks for the suggestion though
EDIT: Yay! it worked

Hi, the edit post feature doesn't seem to be working for me.
Is this a problem? Is the staff working to get this fixed?
Wait it works for me now but at times it doesn't work...

The login feature is supposed to work across all three boards or so I have heard... if that is true, it has never worked for me. I always have to
login to each board separately.
What am I doing wrong?

I don't think it does that anymore. You have to log into the two boards separately.
