The ATS Issues Thread

Up to about a week or two ago - spell check via Firefox advanced preferences (not add-on) worked fine here. Anyone have an idea why it no longer works?

ETA:
I've just switched to Konqueror and the spell check is working fine. I prefer Firefox though, any ideas how to re-activate it? Very strange that it would stop working all of a sudden...

I am getting a seriously annoying error right now and wondered if anyone else is getting it.

Everytime I view a thread I get a series of error messages from twitter dayin Error, Vertical, en and something else.

Is there anyway to stop this because it is very annoying!!!

Please tell me bluntly if I am being stupid!

Suggestions:

Use AdBlock to block the Twitter icon. Perhaps that will stop the issues.

It worked many moons ago, when the Digg icon was causing problems.

I currently have the Twitter icon blocked and am not having any issues.

If you're using Firefox with NoScript, blocking twitter.com also works

Yes, I tried that but no-script was giving me headaches. It's quite possible I was using it incorrectly, but I could not access things like my u2u button, videos, etc. so I took an easier route. Lol.

Sometimes it helps the big man if he can clearly see what the problem is causing, that is why I uploaded the screen shots of the errors. He has that funky know how to understand them thar internet tubes thingys.

For the record, on an os x/safari setup I'm not getting any of that.

But I suspect as we get closer to the launch of the ATS 2015 we're going to be getting more frequent issues as elements that work with the new layout don't work well with the current one. The whole ad thing, and these latest issues are probably part of that transition.

Yeah, NoScript can be a headache.

If you allow abovetopsecret.com but don't allow twitter.com in it you'll be able to use the various _javascript portions of the page but not get the twitter problem.

Of course, if you actually use Twitter, blocking twitter.com would probably cause other problems.

No, I don't use Twitter - so I will give the no-scripts another try and see how it goes.

We implemented the new "Tweet Button" from Twitter to replace the DIGG button for threads. However, there seems to be lots of sites complaining of the JavaScript pop-ups as of today. I've disabled the Tweet Button widgets until we know if it's been fixed.
