Yes, have you? Are you aware that while some Natives do opt to join the rest of American 'civilization' that many prefer to live as they do on the reservation? Its a matter of choice... Never once thinking that they wish to live without electricity, not that they have to. One must take care not to make too many generalized assumptions

The last time there was a complete annexation and subjugation of another country like this was 1939-1940 when the Nazis took over most of Western Europe.

China expresses outrage at the violence by Tibetans in these riots, but discounts it's own violence in occupation away from the glare of media coverage.

Would we really have stood by in WW2 and said tut-tut about violence by the Norwegian, Dutch or the French resistance ?

The whole presumption by China that it has an unquestioned right to be there is the first fallacy.

Incidentally if you look at maps of China in Chinese history text books they actually show that China still maintains claims to territory of other countries.

China asserts claim over Kashmir, the Indian Himalayas, Bhutan Assam, Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, western Borneo, Sarawak, Philippines and of course Taiwan.

Do not be surprised if a more powerful China in the future does to these nations what it did to Tibet in 1949.

Posters here are not quoting from German new agencies and if they have some editor who is slipping in pictures of riots in Nepal then maybe we don't have the full context ?

For example we don't know because we did not see the full news story whether the item was also talking about Tibetan protests in Nepal and India as well.

Perhaps if the Chinese Government is so pissed off about it then your Government needs to let all journalists in there. Bit late by now.

CNN however has been screening photos and videos of Chinese troops in Lhasa and CNN has not censored shots of Tibetan violence...

...but then hey you probably don't know that because you're not allowed to watch the same uncensored CNN which we watch.

My point is I think you are here to derail the truth. This is how the problem of mis-information is solved.... China let in the reporters and Human rights observers. We could all get the truth then

actually I live here in annapolis, CA and watch your news everyday on tv cable. quite a many american are very brain-washed. i feel sorry for some you. but if you look back in history, the truth always prevails. most country already know the truth, but still not tv news controlled by america. your government very corrupted but one day corruption will be overthrown.

and this video very bad example. where is video with tibetan stab people with knife? this just people throw rocks. if that much were the case, i would not care much, police can handle. fire and building always can be repaired. people life not repair. people life gone forever. also tibetan cut off one chinese person ear and blind one eye with ax. he just walking on road when happen. he never be same again. very sad.

I will tell you how this American thinks. I think all governments twist the truth for whatever reasons. I educate myself through research, I take the little truths and I investigate. I take the little lies and investigate. I have not relied on media to tell me the truth of Tibet. I have however relied on history, the human rights violations of China over the past forty seven years and the eyewitness accounts of what was seen in Tibet.

I have no bias toward Chinese individuals but your government can take a flying leap with their propaganda parachute.

Here is some truth for you. I am sorry for any Han Chinese that had the misfortune of being assaulted, but it simply does not compare to the systematic torture, rape and genocide that China has inflicted on Tibetans.

what I think about china gov is they too weak and stupid. i do not like current president I think he make bad decision. but china people truly not have bad intention(hope spell correct). just farmer and people they get hurt bad by tibetan some even die and just not fair how america news poison american mind and say all bunch of lie.
