Well, that was a waste of time. I even looked in that thread for our elusive letter to be masquerading as an orinary button right next to the "post reply" or the "quote" button, or at the bottom of posts.
Also, most of the links in that thread were external links, save one, which was no big help, either.

I got to thinking, what if the 8.4 does not refer to the number eight point four, but rather two seperate numbers such as page number and post number. I checked this thread:

but alas, did not find the elusive letter on page eight post number four. So much for my brainstorm. BUT I still think that it IS possible, just not the right thread. (it happened once before, with the thread number listed as well as the page and post number in the same format 'number.number' )

Hey guys, maybe the missing letters are supposed to be missing, we're replacing them with '?', maybe that's the way they're supposed to be.. like the first anagram will be something like "Are all the conspiracies real?".. so perhaps we're not even missing anything for the first set of clues. It'll be wiser to keep on looking of course, just thinking out loud...

I understand what you are saying, but I think that if punctuation was important enought, they would incude puntuation with the other characters (letters and spaces)

Had to go to bed lol was 4AM in the mornin over here, did a little thinkin though this morning with regards to the first group of letters and managed to get some interesting words out of them e.g.

Ok what triggered this 3rd clue set, its been asked before, any more info on this question? Is it merely finding enough of the letters to trigger it?

We think so, but we don't know if it is done automatically, or if it done manually.

I'm thinking that it could be done automatically, but there would be a chance for someone not playing the game to open the page where the clue is, thereby triggering it, unintentionally.

So that in itself makes me think it is done manually. And that means, if we get far enough, and the game keepers are not online, we gotta wait until they are to activate the next step.

It used to be done by the "_seeker" cookie, but so far that cookie is not being set just yet.

I can build the words "change" and "morning" with the letters we have now, leaving one o and one a out in the cold.

Somewhere along the way I lost touch with our current best guesses for the first two sets... I'll try and track 'em down.
