I think the whole Africa thing was an error. Whoever came up with that (I forget now, sorry) must've typed in the negative number for the longitude. I made that mistake the first time, and it always resolves at 0*longitude which, in that case, put it over northern Africa. Y'gotta type in the number and switch the button from "east" to "west" which, as you found out, Cutwolf, put it over Florida. However, that assumes that that site's method is what we want: the third # being an altitude. I think Fiverz' method was right. (If that's even what we're looking for, that is.

RULES

This game is open to all players with an Internet connection and a web browser capable of displaying the game page.

Players over 15 years of age and living in the continental United States are eligible for merchandise prizes. In the event a merchandise prize is claim by an ineligible person by being first-to-answer, the prize will be awarded to the first eligible person to answer the prize-enabled question.

Staff and families of staff members of AboveTopSecret.com, its agencies, and its advertisers are not eligible for prizes.

Attempts to hack the game, spoof elements of the game, or present fake clues to the game may result in the banning of your IP from the game server and termination of your account (if any) on AboveTopSecret.com.

The grand prize is available to anyone over age 15.

oh wait. i think it was only referring to the merchandise prizes.

The last sentence states that the grand prize is available to anyone over age 15. does it mean that even outside USA is eligible for the prize? I hope so!

Here's what I did.

I posted a link previously to an online calculator, courtesy of NOAA that converts X,Y,Z coords to Lat, Lon & height.

The coords need to be in digit.decimal format and the kicker is that they need to be in meters.

So, I took the following:

1467.344 and multipled 1467 (km) to 1467000 (m)

did the same for the others and ran it through the calculator.

I received a lat/lon of 43 degress 25 minutes 21 seconds North and 71 degrees 33 minutes and 54 seconds West. That puts the location in New Hampshire.

Entered newhampshire.html and recieved the following:

claim prize with 1a3d5g if you are the first.

Mission One is complete... engage additional referrals.

The 'claim prize' was a link that took me to a form to enter the code and my email address. I've received an email reply back from springer that says:

You have entered the correct respons from IP: XX.XXX.XXX.XXX We are confirming your claim, and will let you know if you are the first to respond.

Hope i'm the first.
