Well, Abovetopsecret.com has already stated that the prize is dependent on more hits, but had nothing to do with ad revenue.

When did that happen???????? could you go over that again, i must have missed it.

Nope. we're still on that one. This one might take some time. depending on site traffic, apparently.

hey mech,

do you think it could have any relation to the number of posts in this thread?? I mean all of the actual advertisements ARE on the ATS site and we actually view them in this thread....

Yes.

more ad revenue = better prize

No. It is in no way tied to ATS traffic.

if i remember correctly, the ATS Big-Thread rule was formed as a result of Project Serpo. It was the largest thread in the history of ATS. How many replies to that one?

5000 = nope
projectserpo = nope
serpo = nope
185069 = nope (thread number)

Just for reference, may be answers later down the road, but got out of sequence
when entering the following (exactly as typed):

emailfriends
and
ihavedistibuted

realize that the later is spelled wrong!

Thnks guys' for catching me up...much appriciated.

I don't think I has to do with the numbers of people that view ATS ad's or the thread in ATS. I think it has to do with the number of site visitors using the "FINAL ANSWER" site in total.

With one of the recent previous answers simply "this" I wonder how far off we are from something simple, right in front of us...this is frustrating...this will be a great hurdle to go over for sure when someone finally figures it out. It can't be just site traffic, can it?

Hey, metaphysician. Who was the person who told you about the website?

To understand this site better we got to look to the source, I looked at the source and atention!!! this site is made to spy on others, it steals information.

This is what I found it the source.

//-- Google Analytics Urchin Module
//-- Copyright 2005 Google, All Rights Reserved.

//-- Urchin On Demand Settings ONLY
var _uacct=""; // set up the Urchin Account
var _userv=1; // service mode (0=local,1=remote,2=both)

//-- UTM User Settings
var _ufsc=1; // set client info flag (1=on|0=off)
var _udn="auto"; // (auto|none|domain) set the domain name for cookies
var _uhash="on"; // (on|off) unique domain hash for cookies
var _utimeout="1800"; // set the inactive session timeout in seconds

This is just the begining of it, it's too long to post it all.

For refrence on this on what is an Google Analytics Urchin Module
labnol.blogspot.com...

This site is desing probaly to expose your private data such as IP address, posibly e-mail address and it tracks everything you search on google.
It's no game.

Who started this thread may be a suspect
maybe it's his site, and he just wishes to know what your searching for on google, to know what you all think.

anyone else notice the r32 that popped up at the bottom of the page? I know it wasn't there this morning.

It would only make sense the it has to do with how far we've progressed since we're not on question 32.

Interesting...

I doubt it. A lot of the stuff we are talking about here is really irrelevent to the outcome a lot of posts with only guesses. I think it has to do with page hits on the game site.

see The post right under the one of yours that I quoted here, for more details. (by AlienS)

It could mean (now that I think about it) how many unique members active in the game, or even in this thread. But I believe more that it would have to do with the game site.

Or perhaps it is just to track the number of hits required for the next level, like the current clue says.

Google Analytics downloads a small _javascript urchin.js (Google Analytics Urchin Module) on the client's computer which reports the all the tracking and analyzing data about the visitor back to Google.

It appears that Google is the offender, not the website. If there is tracking going on, it would probably be unintentional from the owner of the website's perspective.
