Is Magic Johnson still married?
Former NBA superstar Earvin 'Magic' Johnson recently became a father for the third time as he and wife Cookie adopted a baby girl. And he said more kids are on the way!
Elisa Johnson was born the second week of January in Michigan, Johnson recently told JET. He and Cookie were not present for the birth but picked her up a few days later and took her to Los Angeles.
He said they named her Elisa "to keep it in line with all the other E's. I'm Earvin and she (Cookie) is Earletha and our son (age 2 1/2) is Earvin III." Johnson also has a 13-year-old son, Andre, from a previous relationship. He lives in Michigan with his mother.
"Cookie and I will probably have another one ourselves. The medical community is making great progress with HIV. It's unbelievable. I'm still healthy and strong. God has really blessed us."

but even someone on the other end of the financial spectrum can survive long-term with HIV infection.

I also want to point out that he doesn't seem to be suffering the usual weight loss associated with AIDS.

Regarding the original post. I'm sure his money helped get him the best treatments but luck and other factors are part of the issue too. My deceased sister-in law had full blown AIDS for over 20 years. She was far from rich and was on Medicaid. Health care is a commodity that money can get you the best of but even someone on the other end of the financial spectrum can survive long-term with HIV infection.

Let the truth be known. "Magic" Johnson never had AIDS to start with. It was all a gimmick to show awareness to the disease, and how anyone is fair game. His career was over and done. The money was there for him to kick back for the rest of his life. All he wanted was that extra 15 minutes of fame so everyone wouldn't forget about him. It's just that plain and simple. If you really dig in to the matter, you'll see that no one from Paula Abdul to pornstar Heather Hunter, has ever been tested positive. You believers and sympathizers has had the wool pulled over your eyes.

Magic Johnson is rich. he can therefore afford any and all the newest and best AIDS treatments, perhaps even the ones not available to the public.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Magic Johnson says he's outraged that a pair of Minneapolis talk radio hosts accused him of faking AIDS.

During the last phase of HIV — which occurs approximately 10 or more years after the initial infection — more serious symptoms may begin to appear, and the infection may then meet the official definition of AIDS.
Fair enough, but my question is, since I have personally never known anyone with HIV/AIDS, has anyone ever known an HIV patient who lasted that long and seemingly beat this dreaded disease? I bet none.
