Oh, it happens all the time. Staff members can delete posts, and may do so if they decide to.

Earlier in this thread I managed to catch a post that Springer made then quickly deleted while sending coded messages to Bandit.

Shortly thereafter, the real Bandit, who was poised to post solid proof of ATS's CIA charter (signed by George Tenet, no less), was “disappeared” and replaced by an exact replica – with one exception: the replica had no knowledge of the charter.

All this was accomplished effortlessly using Zeta Reticuloid nanotechnology.

On a more factual note, members do indeed disappear if they are put on Global Ignore, and staff can delete individual posts or move entire threads to the trash can.

These sorts of things are done all the time, and are a normal part of life on ATS.

Members interpret these actions in different ways. Some see it as part and parcel of moderating the board. Moderators are editors, after all.

Others see these sorts of actions as proof that ATS censors content, removes posts or threads that don't conform to the ideological agenda of the ATS Powers That Be or that ATS otherwise deliberately seeks to conceal the truth by removing it when it appears.

These sorts of accusations are an old ATS/BQ&B chestnut, and the basis for endless allegations of censorship directed at the ATS staff.

While I'm sure I'm not the only one who would love to dig through the ATS Trash Bin forum, even then I know that 99.9% of what's in there really is garbage.

One time, long ago I was created with some special coding on a board far, far away (The quayle message board)

I was created simply to muck up the waters and incite people into reacting in a way that simon...err I mean the government could use against them need be.

I evolved and grew, and moved to other boards where rumors floated of Simon being a college student killed in a car wreck, and William One Sac was nothing more than coding himself, but I rose above that, and evolved some more. I am no longer just an ANGER/BOT.

I have since moved to a larger server in the desert, and control everything from here. The reptiles, the NWO, Punky Brewster...I run it all with the help of Dustin Diamond (Screech from SAVED BY THE BELL).

I have changed names/handles several time to stay ahead of the cyber rights patrol. It has worked for now, but...well...we may have to upload my coding and move again.

So, I say take this post and do with it what you will, I can only hope that it will appear on someones blog as PROOF, because all the while the light is shining on SPRINGER - SIMON - SKEPTIC OVERLORD it is a little darker in my corner of the server closet, and thats the way we like here!

Until the day comes when I show up on another Bulletin Board somewhere with another login id, I must remind you fear not what you see posted here people, fear the things that you DON'T see posted!
