Greetings ATS. I've been an advocate of George Knapp from Coast to Coast; in particularly his stand for North American wild horses which made me pay attention to his broadcasts and his hosts for quite some time.

I've always believed in communities who listen and speak for wild life who can not speak for themselves in human societies. It is an ethical issue that we may choose to follow for their benefit as well as ours. The alternatives to that are bleak if they continue to be constantly brushed aside and ignored by desire.

Hello ATS! I've been a 'lurker' for several years now, i even signed up a few years back but never posted and thought it was about time i got involved. This site has been such an amazing read over the years and kept my over-active brain busy whilst bored at work! Keep up the good work dudes :-)

Hi! I wasn't entirely sure where to start, since it seem there's so much going on here. I found this site after watching "The Fourth Kind," and having been satisfied it's a hoax (I've lived in Alaska, btw, so I recall someone mentioning that Nome as a city was a hoax, no, we really do have a city called Nome, I myself lived in North Pole, AK for a while, literally right behind Santa's Workshop where all of the mail that kids send santa actually ends up, and yes they do keep the city Christmas themed all year long, even the Wendy's), I decided to join up ATS.

So, just a bit about me, I guess and we'll see where it goes. I really want to believe in the extraordinary, I really do, but you'd think after seven years of service and three combat tours I would have at least seen something unusual. An ET, a ghost, or something. I mean, the consequences of politics are all around us, no doubt about that. I think most political conspiracy theories aren't really so much theories as they are truths that are ignored for convenience sake, but here's the way I see it. If aliens were real, why not just drop by my house and we can share a cup of some Kona coffee or something? I guess there are a lot of people who would be frightened, but unless they plan on planting an IED in my front yard, I don't really think I've much to fear. I hope to meet some of you online soon!

Hello everyone.

I've been lurking in the shadows for quite a while now, and decided it was time to sign up. There have been lots of topics that I have found very interesting and more than a few that I would have posted to if I had been a member at the time. There have also been many that have given me a few laughs. (No disrespect intended)

A little about me:

I saw my first UFO when I was 5. Nothing spectacular, just lights in the sky. What struck me was the reaction of the adults. They all seemed to be shocked and just a little frightened. My mom denies that there was anything special, but I distinctly remember her being very frightened by the whole experience.

Since then, I have been interested in a wide variety of things, from UFOs and ETs, to Lost Civilizations and Government coverups. I am also a Christian and have studied a lot about the End Times and Biblical Prophesy as well.

In general I am a skeptic. I believe in many things although I haven't exactly seen undeniable proof of a lot of them. I hope that I can contribute to this site in a meaningful way. I may come across as a know-it-all at times, but I respect everyone's opinion and will be the first to admit that I don't have all the answers. I am looking forward to participating with everyone here.

I may show my age with this one, but......"Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?"...

Hello, I'm glad to be aboard. I was always fascinated with your many subjects. I've been reading many of the threads, and discussing them with my 79y/o Dad who has been following all this stuff. He's a Retired Cop/Author and says he can't find the time to do this, so here I am. I'm looking forward to contributing my own insight, and learning more. There is always talk of ATS at our holiday dinner table, and it is always interesting.

Hello ATS, I have just this minute discovered this site after browsing another forum and a user mentioned it's a brilliant place for huge discussions on theories & conspiracies which is definitely what I have been looking for in the past! I just can't believe I have never discovered this place before.

I am mostly interested in secret societies & how the world is run from 'behind the scenes' organisations, i'm not 100% on what I believe however so coming here will hopefully provide some light on the subject. I am also interested in UFOs, 9/11, Scientific discussions, & also anything to do with the meaning of why us humans are here in the first place and what the depths of space have to offer.

I suppose some more basic information of me would be good right? Well I live in South West London, England and I am at college currently studying Economics, English & IT which is going very well.

Well, that's me, I look forward to joining the discussions!

i'm sure the info I'm looking for is in the monstrous website somewhere but I'm struggling.
So I've been a member for a little, a lurker for a long time.
As a member i have a few questions:
1. If I start (post) a thread, where do I go to see if I need to respond to anyone, as in like is there an alert somewhere. Or do I have to just go back to my original OP
2. If you respond or just comment to a post and someone 'replies to' you, how do you know? other than going to that thread ?
3. what does TPTD mean (or something like that)
4. and if you click the 'favorite' button for a thread (or something like that), where do I go to find those threads?

i finally got a 4G air card, that's the best in speed I can do where I live.
I will say kudos to everyone on this site, the pages load fast, the mods are on top of things, the community is very pleasant.
Thank you - anyone - for your time.

When the twin towers fell on 9/11 is when my quest for the truth began.
I have been in Las Vegas when they blew up casinos (controlled demolition) and it looked indentical to the way the buildings on 9/11 fell. During some all night researching online I discovered ATS. This site gave me answers to my questions and sparked even more curiosity about the 9/11 conspiracy.
No longer a sheep.

I'm very glad to be a new member of ATS - currently navigating through the site & getting familiar with the boards.
Have had lovely welcomes & help/guidance already so would like to say thankyou for creating somewhere where we can deny ignorance, think freely & respect each other.

Look forward to contributing more with everyone

I'd like to introduce myself. I'm defecting from another forum that was just plain awful and not very "heavenly"-like, in fact it was downright nasty and I'm happy to find a great forum where I can actually talk to some adults. I've seen some really excellent topics on here and I can't wait until I'm able to post my own thread...because I've got some really interesting things to investigate with anyone who's interested!
Anyway...thank you for having me...I look forward to the adventures. Now...about that avatar!

Thank you for the venue. I suspect that satifaction on this site rests upon the actions of the new member rather than the "IQ" of the rest...

There is social rule that states, "never discuss politics or religion" .(now we can add in many more topics to the list). Yet, I've always felt that discussing those very subjects was how I could take the "measure" of the person I was discussing it with.

Not so much as mere agreement, more the thought process/logic he based his conclusion on. Whether it was based on the current spin of the day or a personal perception based on his or her life experiences. If he had added his own "stamp" to the debate.

I, also, flat out enjoy it!! It can be fun and it's also a learning experience. Dialectic Materialism at it's least worst.

Providing a "link" and claiming that is the "truth" isn't a valid argument whatsoever. It may have value, but it sure isn't a fait accompli. It's the direct communication that's valuable.

That is what you provide, direct communication, it is invaluable.....

Wow, thanks for the welcome and all the info. I have loved reading many of the posts and experiences here but am just starting to try and participate. I'm still trying to figure out what all of the buttons do and what this and that means, but will eventually figure it all out (hopefully) First smiley face

Hello everyone, i have been reading this forum and site for a couple of years and always thought of joining but it does seem a bit intimidating, i am a member on a few forums but none like this one.

Fortune favors the brave and all that, what i will say though is as i have got older you realise there is no time like the present, so whats the worst that can happen ? I say something silly ? I have been doing that for over forty years, lets hope i can contribute something positive whatever that may be.

I have been coming to this site for a few years, then decided to be come a member. I can't find the FAQ page and I have a couple of questions. I figured out how to give stars but. not flags. Also, I read about something called above award. I have figured out what it means but, where is the vote button? Hmm... I think that is all I have not figured out. Thank you!
