The PRC is currently transporting approximately 3, 000 citizens to airports around the country, but around one hundred citizens are refusing to leave, for various reasons. What advice does the USA offer to the PRC concerning these people?

The US won't force her citizens to evacuate, however we do hold the PRC responsible for their safety for the duration of any crisis. Any citizen remaining in the PRC does so against advice of the US government.

The PRC objects that the USA is placing the remaining citizens under the PRC's care. It was their choice to stay. The PRC cannot guarantee their safety.

The PRC is having trouble transporting citizens to the Hong Kong international airport on account of the 250, 000 strong protest marches that are in the streets. Approximately 300 citizens are in buses in Hong Kong, but cannot move on account of the demonstrators. Riot police have been deployed.

The United States asks that the Chinese government declare that it will not deliberately harm US citizens that are choosing to stay in China, in the case of a crises, or war.

Apparently, in South Korea 20, 000 rioters and farmers have been attacked by riot police.
The 250, 000 protesters marching through Hong Kong are to much for the riot police. The Hong Kong region has only 4, 000 riot police to spare. Army reserves are being called up to quell the protests.

**[check the news, the protests are actually happening]**

South Korea requests a demonstration of the US MTHEL laser system, showing intrest in joint US-Isreali-South Korean developement of the system. South Korea points to recent tests the US conducted where artillery shells were shot down in flight by the system as the reason for their intrest.

Rumors abound that if the demonstration is deemed succesfull, South Korea would make this system one of it's highest priorities for developement and procurement since Seoul is under constant threat of North Korean artillery attack. Insiders think South Korea is looking for a realistic defence plan of it's capitol due to the unpredictable nature of North Korean leadership.

Defence analysts believe that while a MTHEL based defence of Seoul alone would do very little to protect it, such a system combined with precision airstrikes coupled with good intel might be enough to save large parts of the cities population if the North were to ever attack.

What I am curious about is what NK and China seek. What's NK reasoning for being such a threat. China is lack of space. ?? How can we help the problem...or are they simply communist and are trully twisted individuals.

Please post China and NK

South Korea thanks the US for it's assistance.

South Korea also asks China and Russia to enter discussions to prevent nuclear technology and advanced delivery systems transfer to North Korea. Nuclear proliferation to it's agressive and unpredictable northern neighbor is of great concern to South Korea, and recent unannounced missle firings have South Korean leadership on edge.

elab, missing something in that last post?

The PRC needs space for it's ever growing population. As well as that, it also needs resources to support them. Fuel, food and water. What's up with NK, I dunno. But you should take this somewhere else if you want to discuss it.

North Korea has publicly stated that it is well within it's right to stage missile tests, and does not have to report them, either. The PRC has advised NK that it should report the tests before the missiles are launched. The PLA also states that it will support it's North Korean brethren if any attempt is made by the western nations to stop or otherwise interfere with the ongoing missile tests.

I think it is crucial in understanding a countries views before going to war. I'm sure many things can be resolved before actually having to nuke them.

It's the process of negotiation to resolve matters. I thouht it would be insightful. ?

Perhaps so, but once again, this is not the place to argue and talk over such matters. Take it to travel or somewhere. This is war, or the prevention of it, not "So how does this ritual go?"

[edit] US citizens still caught up in protest traffic. Riot police have retired and the reserve guard has come in. The RG is currently taking up positions around the city in case the now peaceful protests turn violent. Soldiers, although they have heir weapons loaded, are prohibited to fire.

1 China Southern Airlines 747 is inbound to Japan, took off from Hong Kong international 10 minutes ago. 440 passengers on board.

Has the US guaranteed safe passage of this aircraft into Japanese airspace? A flight plan has already been submitted to Japanese authorities.

The United States advises North Korea that it not conduct any more unannounced missile tests, and recommends that all future missile launches are directed away form the South Korean state.
Any missile fired by the North headed toward South Korea will be engaged and destroyed, further military action is possible if such an incident occurs.

The United States also advises the North Korean military to not fire any missiles into the Sea of Japan, the USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) Is currently located in the Sea of Japan. Any missile fired into the Sea of Japan will be understood as a direct attack upon the USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63). The missile will be engaged and shot down, and military action against North Korea is very possible if such an event occurs.

The United States also requests that Japan give our forces a specific map detailing the location of the mines it has placed around it’s costal waters.

The PRC requests that this map of mined waters be submitted in the open. There are Chinese civilian ocean liners operating in the area of the East China Sea and Sea of japan. It would be tragic if one of these ships were sunk by a Japanese mine.

The PRC has told NK to direct its test missile fire northwards, but still believes that NK does not have to forewarn other nations of its missile tests.

747 will have two Su-30 escorts until 10 miles from Japanese airspace. Escorts will orbit there until airliner returns to international airspace.
All three planes will be transponding in the clear.
