china has arressted many japanese nationals within its borders, and located them in positions likely to be targeted by japanese weapons.

china, in an act of good will, has "invited" UK and US nationals under house arrest to observe the current crisis in the east china see

...... from the passenger seat of a two seat jet trainer (sorry about no name or desegnation)

F/A-18E Super Hornets, and F-16C Falcons intercept the PRC CAP. Radar lock is established and warning shots are fired in front of the CAP in an attempt to divert them. All surface units are set to Condition Red, Weapons Loose.

Any attempt to put a US citizen into an aircraft and violate CBG airspace will be seen as an act of war. China is being held responsible for the safety of any US citizens illegally detained within its border, now, or if hostilities break out.

PLA-AF responds with open broadcast to Chinese CAP aircraft: "Confirm weapons red and ready. Do not fire unless fired upon. Do not fire unless fired upon. Act only in self defence. Act only in self defence. The People's Republic of China stands behind you."

china issues a reminder to the CBG that there are US and UK citizens on some of the CAP aircraft.

she also states that any more agressive action will warrant some kind off response

J-7, J-8 and additional Su-27 aircraft are launched from shore bases on Chinese mainland. Two hunter-killer submarines are openly deployed from naval bases on Chinese mainland. PLA-N task force also deployed, surface ships only, operating separately from HK Subs. PLA will not back down in the face of US aggression.

[edit] UPDATE: One of the unidentified submarines that has been operating inside the US BG no-fly zone approaches to within 60 miles of BG. Not exhibiting aggressive actions. Other submarine disappears.

US fighters use "thumping" tactics on the canopies of the PRC CAP, in an effort to force them away from the CBG.

OOC- Thumpng is when one fighter gets close in front and above another one, and punches in afterburner. This causes the front of the canopy to permanently bubble and decreases visibliity. Dangerous, and amazingly scary.

We state again that China is responsible for the safety of all foreign nationals being held within her borders. Any injury, or use of these nationals to violate our airspace is an act of war, and we will fire upon any PRC assets near our BG.

Chinese J-7, J-8 and Su-27 air surperiority fighters closing in on US planes "thumping" Chinese CAP. J-7, J-8, Su-27 and Su-30 aircraft all responded "weapons red and ready, will only respond" to open radio order.

More fighters are launched from both carriers to protect the BG, and SSNs are released to stalk any submarines in the area. P-3 Orion patrols are stepped up and all Orions are loaded with Harpoon missiles.

An E-3 AWACS is launched with F-15 escort from Okinawa, and USS Lincoln, and Nimitz sail from San Diego, with orders to bypass Pearl Harbor and proceed directly to the Sea of Japan.

USS Virginia arrives in the area, and immediately proceeds to hunt Chinese and NK SSNs No weapons will be fired from any US SSN provided the PRC immediately returns all foreign nationals to it's soil and gurantees their safety.

5 B-2 Spirit bombers launch from Whiteman for a holding pattern off of Hawaii.

China has 30 minutes to return all foreign nationals to its soil and either guarantee their safety, or immediately release them.

News out of NK:

1000's of civilians have been moved to sensitive military sites throughout North Korea. Video footage has been running on CNN for the last hour showing innocent women and children at military bases in a propoganda attempt to deter an attack on the homeland.

The US will take no hostile action against North Korea, provided NK immediately clears any submarines, or other assets from around our CBG. We have no desire to start a shooting war with NK. China is forcing us into this situation, and we have no hostility towards the people of North Korea.

PLA SAM bases and early warning radar sites are coming on line all over the Chinese mainland. 90 per cent of ground-based air intercept aircraft are on 5 minute alert.

Head of Military Commission says: Yeah, sure, they've got stealth bombers, but let's see those stealth bombers make it through a wall of missiles and planes.

[edit] China stands by her NK allies, and does not want to see civilians killed. Any nation that attacks NK will be attacked by the PLA in return.

[edit]Supplemental interceptor aircraft 1 min away from standing Chinese CAP. Weapons ready mode, but will not fire unless fired upon.

B-52 and B-1 bombers are ordered to prepare for launch on the island of Guam. Aircraft are armed for SEAD and stand off jamming missions. EA-6B, and MC-130 aircraft are also preparing to take on Chinese SAMs.

We don't want this situation, however China has gone too far in using our citizens are human shields. If they don't back down, we WILL take action against them. We have tried to work with them, and guaranteed we wouldn't interfere with their shipping lanes, however they have continued to harrass our aircraft carriers, and how are using our people as human shields. No civilized nation would even CONSIDER this action, let alone carry it out. If they don't immediately return those people to safety, and keep them safe for the duration of any conflict steps will be taken to freeze all PRC assets, sink any PRC shipping entering the South China Sea, and shoot down any aircraft that take off from China.

Suppression of Enemy Air Defences does not work when there are 10 ground sites to every aircraft.

CAP aircraft carrying foreign nationals have dropped back their orbits to 20 miles with in US BG's 200 mile no-fly zone. Interceptor aircraft are now attempting to melt the windshields of the US aircraft. If US does it, we do it.

Ok, time out. Pause the scenario. Since we're rapidly approaching a weapons free situation, I'd like to hear from a judge how we're going to handle combat. What are the rules for determining who wins in combat, how many planes are lost, etc.

The US is open to secret negotiations during this time while waiting to hear from a judge. A US rep is available in the chat section of the board, in the Illuminati Library.

Out of character:

Waiting for judges....Lets all remember that we all want to win but we are trying to create a fact based accurate look at what could occur, try to remember that with each post. So far so good guys!

The PRC states that it initiated the negotiations, and talked the weak charactered US leadership to stand down in the face of the mighty Chinese Armed forces.

Details of negotiations have not yet been released.
