Today they stated cases in which she did not give lessor sentences, so to state she did it in all cases is a flat out lie. I've provided information and links from conservative judges mentioned by Hawley who did the same with a note that 2 out 3 cases receive lessor sentencing, it is even recommended by the prosecution at times. Of 15 of those specific cases she had there are 7 that are lessor. That is consistent with the information provided in the link.

Ah yeah, go ahead and try to get an individuals pre-sentencing reports, it's highly doubtful you would. I've noted the amount of cases she had and those that received less. If there was some glaring issue, prosecutors would certainly have brought their outrage forward. Today certain senators would have used some of those presentencing reports(which were provided) up as further proof.

Defense attorneys defend them. She does not. There is basically a point system for anyone convicted of a crime before sentencing. This information comes from multiple sources, a judge then takes that information, along with the guidelines to make determinations. Other judges have made these same determinations in similar cases.

We do have a legal system. If you feel that there should be a change within the system then feel free to pursue that with congress.

If a judge does not follow the recommendations provided as required and just pushes all maximum sentences by not following the set procedures you would have many sentences eventually over turned and those people on the street, without all of the other restrictions that judges put on them for life.

It is false. Both sides have brought up the amount of cases she had for child porn and the amount that had lessor sentences today. It was not all of them.

Sigh, please read the other posts that explain pre-sentence criteria that is given to the judge to use with the guidelines. Again, If you had a judge who did not follow this process and gave every guilty party the maximum, the cases would be likely overturned when it was found the judge was not following the procedure set out for them. Then you'd have these people out on the street with no lifetime consequences that were set forth with the original sentence.

For crimes against children she should NEVER sentence less than the minimum!!!!!!

I don't expect maximum sentences for all of them, but ANY less than minimum is UNACCEPTABLE.

So let me get this straight .

your providing examples of other morally corrupt judges to prop up Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson , that is just priceless my friend and you think because some of them are Republicans it justifies her moral insanity or even theirs .

You can't make something that is clearly wrong seem right by giving other examples of said wrongness , Oh just because they did it so can she .

Except for the fact she was the vice chair of the Sentencing Commission and took it upon herself to have the commission look at if the Sentencing for pedos was too harsh.

For reference, Congress sets the agenda for what areas the commission evaluates

So she took the initiative on it, then when she was on the Bench she consistently gave out lower than recommended sentences to every pedo she tried.

They've already been nominated and approved for their positions. Again she cannot give every person the max sentence. There is the other factors that have to be included before sentencing. You want her to go against them? That is radical.
