The Chinese government says a robot probe launched to return lunar rocks to Earth has landed on the moon. The official China News Service said the Chang'e 5 "successfully landed on the moon in the pre-selected landing area." It gave no more details.

(imho the Chicom gummint is a bunch of evil thugs but)

congrats to China for a tremendous scientific acheivment.

as far as I know they will be only the second nation on Earth to have gathered moon rocks.

science is good

I hope there is footage available from this and it will be interesting to hear what is yielded from studying the rocks.

I'm glad we are going to send men to the moon again

The US and Russia have previously collected moon samples, so this would make them 3rd to do so.

Congratulations to them nonetheless!

Yeah I was gonna say...... it looked definitely like CGI. I was gonna say the shadows are way off on the other picture, but that too is just an animation. You'd think if they went there they would have proof other than CGI renderings? Idk.

I anxiously wait for real pictures and videos if they exist. I naturally distrust their government.

If the Moon and Earth were created from the same cloud of debris, why bother digging there? Lets try another star system.
