People will never accept Brexit without a plan,....

How do you know?
Many people I know will.

....which is still miraculously fecking nowhere to be found.

Yeah, down to the incompetence of May and her administration, the constant reluctance of Remainers refusing to accept democracy and the belligerent and punitive nature of EU negotiators.....oh, and possibly the unrealistic nature of some Brexit supporters.

It's farcical that Remainers are screaming about democracy whilst ignoring the referendum result. Actually it is sickening hypocrisy.

Couldn't have put it any better myself.
The amazing thing is the vast majority of them simply can not see the hypocrisy and double standards, they seem so self-obsessed and ignorant of anything and everything else.

Call it a guess.

Many people i know won't.

Arguing about why we don't have a plan after all this time still does not produce a plan all the same.

And imho we need one of those.

Need another referendum first.

I nearly choked on my coffee reading that - yes, coffee. Tuesday is a no-pub day.....this week.

And what credibility has the referendum process got after this Brexit farce?
According to Remainers it has no legal or moral standing.....all future referendums have been compromised, including IndyRef2.

I don't pretend to know what anyone thinks anymore.

Kind of hard to think when you don't have a clue what happens next, or at least to prepare.

It's broken by design, which is the real unfortunate part.

That works both ways, what credibility does anything have any longer.

Are our politicians credible, is the system credible?

Nope.

Remainer MPs voting to take no-deal off the table is pretty much the reason why there is no deal, because it left us with a feeble negotiating hand.

Traitors, the lot of 'em. The EU must have been laughing at us.

Yes, politics is broken and needs a reboot.

I have been trying to follow today's events in parliament but have to confess I'm struggling.

Their futures count for more put it that way.

Because, quite simply, our children and young adults, are our future!

I am a young adult. I was in my early 20s when I voted to REMAIN.

But I believe in democracy and I don't believe in childish behavior because you don't get what you want.

Brexit won in the referendum. People need to accept it.

So it's childish behaviour standing up against something you disagree with ?

So the miners strikes and steel strikes , Thatcher sold off and closed the mines and the steel factories and the shipyards , so those workers were just being childish were they ?

If they aim to block democracy because they don't like it. Yeah.

And don't bring miners etc in to this. It situational and not relevant to this discussion.

It's relative in that the government carried out something despite a good number of UK citizens being verbally opposed to it !

So it is quite relevant

It's all broken. It's all a mess.

They were opposed of course, but they weren't allowed to vote on it!
Completely different.
Fact is, they shouldn't have given us the vote in 2016 if they didn't want to carry out the result.

Well if the Tories remain in power after Brexit austerity will stay with us.

Boris has said there is money to spend....of course he's a politician, and a particularly disagreeable one at that, and he's not bound to be a man of his word.

Brexit will happen in some shape or form.
What happens if Labour win the next election though?

Do you imagine they give a real rats arse as to workers rights and pay?

Of course the vast majority of them don't.
I suspect some Labour MP's don't as well and its hardly a priority for the LibDems and Greens.

Hence all the zero-hour contracts combined with a minnimum wage nonsense that keeps so many people in indentured servitude.

All enabled by Labour Party legislation.
Sad, but true.

You know my thoughts on it but please don't tell me you think it'd be much different under Labour/SNP/LibDem/Brexit Party/ UKIP or any body else....they're all a shower of #e and more interested in playing party politics and #ing with peoples lives rather than actually enabling real and positive change.

That's because in a lot of respects we probably want the same things just in a different manner.

People, after all, are much more similar than different.

100% mate , its blatantly obvious to us all despite our political differences and other differences outside of politics , we all agree democracy in the UK and the government is not working at all !

There is no difference between me and you and a wee man sitting in the amazon jungle

we all want , food , shelter , and quality of life whatever that means to you in your cultural setting
we all want life , love and liberty !

everything else is just icing on top and pretty much irelevant to our existence , all based in ego, and desire
all offered to us on the premise we need it to survive or be happy

A plan would be good.....but it seems beyond those #ing idiots in Westminster.

It's all #ed up....you know I've been saying it for a long time now - we need urgent and radical reform.

I can't make any sense of it all - I don't think we're meant to - and I don't see how a General Election or another referendum will help things.

I'm going to read that flat earth thread in order to make me realise that there are indeed some people who are even more stupid and out of touch with reality than our politicians.

While you are at it, why not pop in to the Nuke Hoax thread? Out of touch with reality is an understatement.

I have pretty much lost the plot with all these latest Brexit doings.
