You guys complain, complain, complain. I could shop all day long, go all over the city in a 20 mile radius, and would not be able to find a Mom and Pop store with a sperm tester for iPhone. I daresay could try a Walmart Supercenter and Best Buy, too. You can say anything bad you want about Bezos, but who else are going to turn to, with free shipping, when you realize you need to move your sperm into the 21st century? Bezos can take good care of you Galaxy and LG users, too!

Without further adieu: The Amazon Fertile iPhone

Wonder if Bezos has sperm testers for landlines and payphones? You got a lot of people that have a VCR that one imagines still have sperm, too.

I wonder if Congress will ever do their duty and break up amazon after they run the majority of their competition out of business.

As soon as Amazon becomes a monopoly, they should.

Did Walmart and Target stop selling stuff when I wasn't looking?

TheRedneck

Obviously not, but they are at a point where nobody can really challenge them with online sales, which gets them treading pretty close to a monopoly.

Also the main part of my point (I could have worded it better Ill admit) is will congress even do their job or does bezos have to many in his pocket at this point.

From what I remember, he has HUGE plans. He wants colonies not on Mars but giant space stations. He has always been fascinated with space and wants to do something up there. I am guessing that requires a lot of green.

Funny how all the guys defending Bezos are the same that complain about fake news..

Bezos uses all that money to literally create fake news and the narrative that everyone defending him hates..

But we kepp shopping with him proudly so we can save a few bucks..

Proof?
Are you ok with Soros paying protesters?

He should be able to do whatever he wants with his money right?

Who do you want to own a newspaper?

What law would you like to see where people could not pay for protest?

I dont know..
I just dont like Bezos.. And think any one that becomes the richest man in the world during one of the worst recession ever is possibly the reason for the recession..

I don't like Soros, Bezos, the Washington Post, lima beans, olives, or ice in my bourbon.

But what I like or dislike should have no bearing as to what a person should be free to do.

So you dont think we should do anything about the media and fake news? Or should they be free to divide us at there will?

Whoa!

Hold on there!

Back the truck up a bit.

Free speech.

It feels weird disagreeing with you on something..

ETA.. It actually makes me check myself lol...

The same people that cry about the "deep state" and the media want to defend him.

Its hard for anyone to admit (me included) their thinking might be flawed..

Make the greedy # pay his taxes like everyone else.

Taxation is theft

It may be theft but if we all have to be stolen from, he needs to be stolen from too.

The problem is not the money he earns.

It's the fact he doesn't pay the same taxes as everyone else.

Where was anything said about Bezos not paying his taxes?

TheRedneck

His company is not paying UK tax correctly.

He is driving small and medium businesses out of buiness by passing tax codes.

Politicians even admit he is doing wrong but won't touch him.

I have known a few people who worked at Amazon, they said it sucked and the pay was not that great for the amount of work they did. The jobs they used to do are going to be taken over by technology in the near future the girl mentioned.. She worked there about two years, the other guy I know only worked there for about five months.

So they United Kingdom can't tax the company properly but that means he's not paying his taxes.

I'm pretty sure he's paying all his income taxes, he isn't Amazon, it's a publicly traded company with close to 60% of it institutionally owned.

I mean cmon you say stuff like he owns but doesnt have anything to do with it.

And I dont understand..

Do you not understand investment?

I would give it to my employees. There would be bonuses galore..

So you would take it from him and give it to your employees? What about his employees? What about not taking his money from him?

I was asking what you would do with his money, not what you would do with yours. You can do what you like with yours.

Im really not trying to have an argument with you lol..

I just think this guy is the definition of the "deep state" , If there is one he is sitting at the table..

i think he is personally responsible for alot of the fake news we see.

He is because he has the power to change it and does nothing but profit from it..

And I see people that believe in and hate "the deep state" and what it is doing then defend it because thats capitalism.

And capitalism cant be flawed right?

That's false. I still buy most of my electronic parts from Mouser. I still check Newegg when I'm building a computer, along with Ebay. I can get better deals a lot of times using surplus dealers. My NIB magnets come from KJ Magnetics.

And I'm not even sure "monopoly" applies to method of delivery. A lot of what I can get at Amazon I choose to get at Walmart. It's faster. I still shop at a local grocery store; it's cheaper. That's not a monopoly... a monopoly is when there is only one possible location to get a product or service, and that simply does not describe Amazon.

His company is not paying UK tax correctly.

Then the UK needs to bring charges.

Whining about him being successful isn't going to put any cash in your coffers.

?

So in order to be "against the deep state" we must be angry at successful people?

No. But I think you should be angry at "the deep state" ..

Would you consider Bezos "deep state"? Do you believe in the "deep state"?

If you do then who do you think that is?

I just think this guy is the definition of the "deep state" , If there is one he is sitting at the table..

i think he is personally responsible for alot of the fake news we see.

If he wanted to run the Washington Post, he would have bought stock directly in the Washington Post. He didn't. He set up a holding company.

Holding companies are set up so people can manage large stock portfolios. As the name implies, a holding company holds assets. It's purpose is to keep him insulated from the daily activities of the companies he holds stock in. All he wants is the profit. The Washington Post has a CEO that does the day to day stuff.

There are literally thousands of people (maybe tens of thousands) who own stock in Walmart... do you hold them accountable when the Walton clan makes a bad decision? If not, why would you try to hold Bezos accountable for what the Washington Post does? Show me some evidence that he actually has input into the operation and I'll likely come over to your side, but just saying he owns stock in it through a holding company does not fit that bill.

I do see where your anger is coming from though... it's really not hard to learn investing if you spend a little time studying, and you might find yourself better off financially without trying to demonize others who were successful.

Who is the "deep state"? CEOs of MSM outlets, active owners of MSM outlets, powerful political figures, powerful bureaucrats, and some uber-wealthy individuals and families. That does not automatically mean that everyone who has wealth or a political office is automatically part of the "deep state." "Deep state" refers to corruption, not social position.

And capitalism cant be flawed right?

Capitalism is an ideology. It either is flawed or it is not. "Can't be" is not an applicable term.

And capitalism has flaws, for the fourty-eleventh-dozenth time on here. It requires a small amount of socialism to combat those, namely anti-trust laws and some sort of social assistance program. It simply has less flaws than the other options.

I see enablers who want to carry out socialist policies of the previous administration.

I guess those are deep state.

But I still don't see how even that would justify taking away his money.
