It is not just that. I am in the middle but the total disrespect for our ELECTED president by the Democrats and the left is unprecedented. Also the Democrats are playing a very dangerous game waltzing with COMMUNIST IDEOLOGY. This is getting very very serious. Storm clouds are gathering. I hope all sons and daughters of liberty stand strong. If the storm hits nothing but total annihilation of Communist ideology can happen. It is like a cancer one cell can proliferate over time to destroy its host. The same goes for National Socialism, NAZI, but its proliferation is clearly not as popular as Communist socialist. You see the Communists use kum ba ya lovie dovie front to drive their agenda. They claim to be the moral high ground so young heart filled no common sense millennia children are attracted. Not many are attracted to hate filled outright racist ideology of National Socialists.But the left calls Nationalists of the constitution Nazi to fool youngsters. This is why ATS need to mull this because some minds need awakening.

Well, I'd examine the financing.

dang near every forum is like that now. I am convinced there are people hired to come in and steer conversations. Keeping things away from real life changing topics. I know for one, every single time I post ANYTHING about the promotion of Hemp Fuels replacing fossil fuels, I get instantly banned. No matter the website. We are being filtered. Stay busy with politics they love it...lol

Talk about CONSPIRACY... Why can't we, the freaking breadbasket of the world, have NORMAL food? Food free of added sugar, refinement, high-fructose #, food coloring... without paying EXTRA for it? I enjoy seeing the star and flag seeking clowns coming out to attack the OP. There's about 5 people on ATS that dominate post volume with little or no topic other than to either lick their own wounds or create strife, and you'll see all of them here defending it.

i think it is more about emotional arguments versus fact based ones.
there aren't many threads discussing a piece of legislation.
there aren't many threads discussing a politician's voting record.

there are tons of "burn the witch!!" threads against hilary.
there are tons of "trump will lead us to WW3!!"

i'd like to see more reasoned discussion.

I am really sick of it, I totally agree that's probably not the reason most of us came on here for originally. I am going to stop posting on any more political threads, its just not fun to debate endlessly against "the other side". Gonna stick with the UFO and space forums from here on out.

When I was young, back in the 60s...the BEST jobs in the County were Union Paper Mill jobs that basically took several hundred young men and their families and created true middle class entities out of dirt scratching rednecks.....bassboats, fast cars, tires, washing machines, two week vacations, dentist appointments, insurance, savings accounts and certificates of deposits were ALL created by great jobs.....all UNION JOBS. Now, after union busting, these jobs don't support the local community and mom and pop businesses like they once did....it's a race to the bottom for wages between hard up workers. Life is upside down. Figure out why for yourself....and if you come to the conclusion it was "the greedy Unions" it means you need more thought on the matter.

I think it's a Very Good Thing that more people across the nation, and world even, are Growing Up and getting More involved in politics. I think it was actually a problem the way things were before. We all just went about our lives, trusting that other people were looking after all the boring, technical, administrative, beancounting and whatnot... Well No More.

Exactly... We need to be there to properly educate the ones who come to their senses. Which means we ourselves must Be educated on the subjects. That's what we are doing here. This is an adult classroom in some ways. The discussions I read and take part in, push me to learn more about the subjects involved in these discussions, so as to more correctly and convincingly present my position.

I just want to remind everyone on the right side of history, don't stoop to their level. Remember, they are children. Don't talk down to them or insult them. That is not how you raise a child. You be the adult and you calmly explain the logic behind your arguments in a way that cannot be denied. If you season that argument with insults, even snide subtle insults, you weaken its foundations. The insulting accusations are a technique of the Others. We dont need to do that. Our argument stands firm on its own. They HAVE no foundation, just an endless abyss of insults and logical fallacies and emotional outburst...

At the end of the day, I can look back over all my interactions with leftists, and of most, I can say, it is mighty interesting how the "racist bigot" (me) can always form an argument without calling the other person names, but, for some reason the super peaceful and tolerant lefties just haven't evolved to that level yet...they are, using their terms and definitions and rules, Below the level of a "racist bigot".

It's not just me either. The lefties are notorious for this kind of treatment! And they Still have defenders and die hards...

That's why I cringe when I, or someone with a stance similar to mine, loses our temper and lets some emotion slip out through the fingertips into the keyboard... because, in my opinion, they, the Democratic Party, has already, in a fit of desperation, thrown away their chances of victory on a last minute hail Mary play hoping to Tank Trump once and for All... The crying child on Time magazine was supposed to be one volley in a final barrage meant to be the ultimate condemnation designed to be the Big Game Trophy TAKE DOWN SHOT to kill the mighty House of Trump...instead they shot their own leg off... they have no chance of winning.

They just marginalized the entire black vote along with Many others...it will begin to sink in by Nov...trust me. They just proved that, a felon or a convict, with no voting rights(who has been wronged and seperated from their family), is of no use to them(as well as their kids who statistically will end up a felon or convict as well), and not worth fighting for, but a future voter (well known to have lots and lots of babies who grow up to vote) is worth going to war against your countrymen for at the drop of a hat without thinking twice.
