Seeking refugee status is not illegal, they were criminalized without due process, putting a 5 or 7 yrs old on the stand by themselves is reprehensible.

Sigh. For the gazzilionth time, yes, requesting asylum is not illegal. Illegally crossing the border, at a non-check point, IS illegal. Do they teach NOTHING at the liberal univerities these days?

Trump created the crisis and Trump can stop it.

Um, no. Pretty sure those illegally enering the US created, and sustain, the “crisis”, which is actually a non-crisis blown out of proportion to deflect the FBI IG report findings and subsequent Congressional hearings. But carry on. Just keep proving to the US popukace what kind of Justice we need to replace Kennedy. One that believes in the rule of law and the US as a sovereign nation.

You think the crisis is asylum seekers crossing between border check points. I think the crisis is based on erroneously conflating asylum seekers with terrorists, then, charging them with a crime before the fact, and separating them from their children without a procedure in place for family reunification once asylum claims have been processed, one way or the other.

Make no mistake what the strategy is some of the more radical (and not so radical) elements of the left is here: crush our borders, bring in as many impoverished and illiterate as possible to strain our system, create as much instability as possible to compromise the system.

Its analogous to willfully introducing slow working acid to undermine the foundations of a once strong building. They can't win at the ballot box, or enough to sufficiently take power in their own right, so they are working to undermine the foundations of our once great nation so that in begins to crumble and enable the left, the true left, to ease in and take power.

The crocodile tears progressive socialist are shedding for these people are fake...they don't really care for them as individuals, but merely as pawns to exploit...a means to an end.

Not really insane.

The constitution is a document that can be amended after all.

It's happened many times. No reason it can't be done again.

That's one of the great things about it.

My last 2 cents on this thread.

The woman who was on the cover of Time (the dishonest cover) was not fleeing from violence or oppression, yet she claimed asylum. As a matter of fact she left several children at home, a husband with a decent job as a boat captain, and a fairly cushy life.

Yet she, like many illegal immigrants, have learned that by claiming spousal abuse, oppression, and violence (even when not true) they are able to be shortlisted to migrate ahead of everyone else. A typical non H1 Visa to be approved for those applying for LEGAL immigration can take over 8 years. Yet many illegals are lying, breaking our federal laws, cutting in line, and lying about their asylum claims for monetary reasons (And sending billions of dollars out of the US economy in remittances).

This asylum story is dishonest and this is NOT intelligent immigration policy.

That's right. Let's see if the anti-ICE / anti-enforcement groups have better success than the Anti-gun groups did.

The desire to skirt the law with some wanna-be immigrants is just as strong as the desire to come here legally is, with most. Both sets learn how to get into this great country. Those who do it correctly can stay. The others must be ejected and told to follow the legal immigrants, if they want to try again.

(a)Improper time or place; avoidance of examination or inspection; misrepresentation and concealment of facts
Any alien who (1) enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers, or (2) eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers, or (3) attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact, shall, for the first commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both, and, for a subsequent commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18, or imprisoned not more than 2 years, or both.

Can you cite the law that prevents border agents from illegally turning away asylum seekers, thereby forcing them to seek asylum by crossing between check points, and then turn themselves into border agents, claiming asylum?

I read that Trump's emergency judges are fining asylum seekers $10 or dismissing their cases altogether, prior to their asylum hearings.

And arresting them shows a complete lack of empathy. These are people who are desperate. But no they're law breakers. They deserve to be treated like animals right?

Ill keep posting this even though I know its pointless to the true racist liberals. (see everything in race)

I cant speak for all right-leaning people or Trump supporters but for me Its not fear nor hate.

If I woke up tomorrow and everyone south of the border was LILLY WHITE, and all of them had the personality of Mother Teresa, but they still cost American citizens money, we still had people who needed help here in the USA that weren't getting it, I would still want our immigration law and borders enforced.

If I was on a titanic lifeboat Id damn sure as hell would hate not being able to help those freezing and drowning passengers but I sure as hell wouldn't let another one in the lifeboat if it was gonna cause the boat to overturn!!!

There is a limit to how many immigrants ANY country can absorb especially in this WELFARE STATE. Sorry, we simply can not intake the 1 billion hungry of the world.

Their country of origin needs to be fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't want my country to end up like a 3rd world country if that makes me a racist bigot so be it.

The I.C.E. border patrol are just as saddened by this as most other Americans. They are parents too.
Just because they do the job doesn't mean they are happy about it.

So you think they are going to overturn your life boat huh?
There's no unemployment now but lots of unfilled jobs.
And we have more room than you can shake a stick at so none of your arguments are valid.. If they were Lilly white like Norwegians say... Trump would be all for letting them in. I don't know you or your views so I can't say if you agree with him or not but for him it is all about race.
