The fix is in. Why am i not surprised. Facebook Gave Money To 85% Of House Committee "Questioning" Zuckerberg Next Week

Since 2007, the social media giant has contributed a cumulative $381,000 to 46 of the 55 members on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which will hear from Zuckerberg on Wednesday.

While the average committee member received between $6,750 and $6,800, Committee Chair Greg Walden (R-OR) received $27,000, and top ranking Democrat Frank Pallone of New Jersey received $7,000 from Facebook.

Rep. Anna Eschoo (D-CA), whose district is adjacent to Facebook headquarters and home to many Facebook employees, received the most from Facebook at $55,150 since 2007. Eschoo narrowly lost a battle with Pallone for ranking Democrat position on the committee in the 2014 election.

Walden and Pallone announced Zuckerberg's appearance on Wednesday to testify on "critical consumer data privacy issues."

“This hearing will be an important opportunity to shed light on critical consumer data privacy issues and help all Americans better understand what happens to their personal information online,” Messrs. Walden and Pallone said in a Wednesday statement. “We appreciate Mr. Zuckerberg’s willingness to testify before the committee, and we look forward to him answering our questions on April 11th.” (also, thanks for all that money Zuck! We'll be sure to put the softballs on a plastic "T" for you)

Meanwhile, a Roll Call report reveals that two Democrats on the House Energy and Commerce Committee have nearly $100,000 invested in shares of Facebook - with Democratic Reps. Joe Kennedy of MA and Kurt Schrader of OR owning approximately $80,000 and $15,000 respectively.

Wow thats bad!

This is why corp's need to be barred from politics.

Or do it like NASCAR at least:

Ultimatum to Congress: Either you're completely barred from corporate sponsorship money, or you have to wear their patches all over your suits in all public appearances.

If Google were really for the people they could set up their image recognition to recognize each politician, and their databases to have all those sponsorships on file, then whenever the punks are are screen this Augmented Reality would throw all those logos up on screen not unlike those nascar jackets.

Just a heads up for the people currently lurking on /QR/ #1203. There are some really disturbing pics being posted that could upset you. Don't post them here!

Tarantino?

He's as corrupt as they come.

I'm not surprised.
Nothing from my association w/Hollywood surprises me anymore.
Corruption is commonplace.

What little we actually hear about...is nothing compared to what actually takes place.

One of the things that sucks the most about this is seeing people who we previously liked/admired/respected turn out to be the biggest scumbags out there. I used to like the hell out of that particular scumbag.

Sorry, but I realized Tarantino was a scumwad quite some time ago. There are certain authors & directors where, when you become familiar with their work, you realize that this guy's mind must be some kind of deeply deranged hellscape. For me that list includes:

Stephen King,

Quentin Tarantino,

Rob Zombie (House of 1000 Corpses).

Thomas Harris (Silence of the Lambs franchise): By the time I finished reading Hannibal, I'd realized that the author really liked Hannibal Lecter, and he'd written the novel to give him a happy ending. In the book (not the movie, thankfully), he ends up brainwashing Clarice Starling and making her his follower/slave. Yes, really.

Lynch knew about the illegal spy apparatus and still thinks her conferencecall with HRC wasn't recorded. How can she be this clueless.
Loretta Lynch still insists she DIDN'T talk with Bill Clinton about Hillary's email case during secret airport tarmac meeting

Former U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch insists her infamous secret 2016 meeting with former President Bill Clinton had nothing to do with the investigation into Hillary Clinton that was ramping up at the time.

Lynch has seldom addressed the subject since first acknowledging that she had met with Bill Clinton on a Phoenix, Arizona airport tarmac, just months before the presidential election.

Mrs. Clinton was at the time the subject of an FBI investigation into her use of a private, unsecured email account during her time as secretary of state – an account that housed classified documents.

Lynch told NBC News that it's true 'my speaking to the former president raised concerns in people's minds about whether or not there was going to be any impact on the email investigation.'

But despite the criminal probe hanging over Hillary's head at the time, she insisted in the interview broadcast Monday that the topic never came up and the two talked only 'about innocuous things.'

The former president, she said, told her a 'long but charming story' about his grandchildren and talked about 'issues of the day' including the United Kingdom's decision to exit the European Union.

Their exchange, soon to be fodder for conspiracy theories, 'turned into a much longer conversation than it should have,' she conceded.

And at the time the news of the meeting first leaked out, Lynch said she regretted entertaining him on the parked government jet.

'I certainly wouldn't do it again. Because I think it has cast a shadow,' she said then.

At it again with the conspiracy theory label. Lynch you have no grandchildren how is that a conspiracy you dumb bitch.

The key is what they do with their stories and characters.

I tried playing with a dark character for a while, and I pretty quickly realized that I was taking her slowly on an upward, redemptive trajectory. I can't be evil for very long.

Even the worst of my characters, the ones who will do very bad things will do so for noble motives.

I never understood the attraction of being or pretending to be evil for its own sake.

So, yes, Tarantino is dark. Look at Pulp Fiction. I don't think there is anyone good in that movie.

Well they turned Hannibal in a sort of anti-hero later on in the movie series. The show did almost the same to him and don't forget the delicious looking meals Hannibal cooked in every episode. That was beyond weird considering the "ingredients".

Thanks! This is gonna require some coffee.

I'm having difficulties finding NAMES attached to the FBCA and FPKI. Seems like the usual corporate model of "we're gonna set up a machine, we benefit from it, but nobody did it."

They did that to normalize the character for those who can't relate to those desires.. Remember they drape Hannibal with the High Intellectual Cloak - Genius... It's almost like they're telling people this is someone to admire.. Doesn't that seem a little like what's going on out there?

Well it could be argued anyone into/making horror genre stuff are some kind of demented.

But with those two they're into all kinds of 'exotic film history', that is the "Grindhouse" aka "Exploitation" style films of the 60's and 70's.

Note those arent inherently to be associated with "video nasties", although you do often find the same kind of (the rare, obscure, bizarre cinema) crowds overlapping.

Their films, especially Taratino's, are "homage films", a concept which has a lot of debate about whether its plagiarism or honoring the films they "borrow" from. I view it more as a sort of "citation method", where each film is like a historians journey thru (often obscure and intense) cinematic history, or perhaps 'whoever' showing off their film history/making expertise.

Note that even the old kungfu movies (like Shaw Bros. films) loosely fall into the 'Grindhouse' domain, although the "Pinky Violence" (Japanese female revenge cinema) are more accurately "Exploitation" than the Chinese martial arts stuff. If you know the material you can see Kill Bill plays just like a Shaw Brothers film, although the story is more Pinky Violence even though he cites the Swedish film "They Call Her One Eye (1973)" as his primary inspiration. Even that film isnt "video nasty" material though (Hong Kong Category III is where to look for those but I dont know that he's ever "cited" one of those).

FBI raids office of Trump Lawyer Michael Cohen

he F.B.I. on Monday raided the office of President Trump’s longtime personal lawyer, Michael D. Cohen, seizing records related to several topics including payments to a pornographic-film actress.

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan obtained the search warrant after receiving a referral from the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, according to Mr. Cohen’s lawyer, who called the search “completely inappropriate and unnecessary.”

The search does not appear to be directly related to Mr. Mueller’s investigation, but likely resulted from information he had uncovered and gave to prosecutors in New York. “Today the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York executed a series of search warrants and seized the privileged communications between my client, Michael Cohen, and his clients,” said Stephen Ryan, his lawyer. “I have been advised by federal prosecutors that the New York action is, in part, a referral by the Office of Special Counsel, Robert Muell

I don't think Trump is going to like this at all. Mueller is determined to find something.

I'm hearing that the FBI just raided the office of Michael Cohen. I don't recall if he's president Trump's current or former attorney.

Edit to add I see it was just posted above this one.

That is just a Smokescreen. She's not important enough to Warrant a raid of this magnitude.

It is the Deep State fighting back. War.

Maybe thats why when I got in my vehicle not a couple hours ago NPR was asking callers if they're excited if Trump will get impeached, or however he was wording it, and the one caller goes:

"On what grounds? Coffee grounds! Impeach! Impeach! Impeach! Impeach!"

To which the host was all stoked to say:

"I think thats the first time I've ever heard a impeach cheerleader."

Arggh. The liberal brainwashing is so thorough right now, while getting them to de-radicalize is such a crucial and monumental task. I mean they still worship Obama, and thats a big problem.

everybody has a conscious mind to use however he wants to use it.

This^^^. Not only is it at the very foundation of what the Q movement is all about, it is the most important principle in cosmic law...in existence.

Truth is subjective...most people don't realize that. Facts are not. But truth is. What you consider truth is personal, unique to your own conscious mind. And whatever your personal truth may be, it should need no defense. No argument. There should be no buttons for anyone to push.

People need to learn to be still in their soul. Stand quietly in their own truth. When people own their personal truth, they cannot be baited by challenges to it...nor will they feel the compulsion to challenge anyone else's truth.

I think The Donald is about to take his gloves off. There will be blood from both sides during this struggle.

If the deep state can't stop the trouble coming from the OIG report and document releases they will get nastier than we can easily imagine.

I'm kind of expecting some kind of info to drop this evening after some in Congress read the unreacted FISA stuff.

Stormy Daniels is such a non story. Wow he had consensual sex with a pornstar. Trump always was a womanizer. Wouldn't surprise me if Melania and him have some kind of arrangement. I got bored with this story immediately. Besides there is still the possibility that SD acts as a laser pointer for the MSM.
