Yet the fact remains this tech shall NOT effect any gun with no electronic firing mechanism (which is most of them). So this is a very limited idea. Also the tech does not exist.

The technology definitely already exists off the shelf.

What you mean is that it hasn't been configured in this design just yet.

That needs the assumption that everyone gave up their firearms and they were hidden for site for many life times.

That’s never going to happen as there’s too much money in them.

Look I understand the fiction aspect of this appeals to you. I really do. However this thread was created to alarm people with guns.

On further investigation, the OP has admitted this is not something that is being "put into law" or something which exists. It is an idea. An idea which can not be implemented, due to how guns work. IF this technology existed, you would need to replace every single mechanical gun on the streets, all over the world. With electronic guns.

Chances of this happening is?

Prove it.

Seriously. Prove it.

Not like the OP says it does. GPS requires a transmitter, and a battery. GPS would require more satelites to just cope with guns. OH and what about dead zones.

The tech does not exist.

Prove me wrong.

I was able to read a paper on disabling Ammunition from firing Called, "disabling ammunition system" this uses certain type of energy waves of differing type that changes the chemical makeup of the primer cap and the gun powder in the shell. From what I can tell is that it causes the material degrade thereby making the ammo inactive. In short it makes active gunpowder and the primer inactive by saturating it with an energy wave in the range of 10.sup.3 Hz to 10.sup.14 Hz. But there were many other types of waves in his writing that he says will disable Ammunition. I guess you would have to be close to get it to work.

Got me to thinking about what happened at the US and Canadian Embassies in Cuba if what they were doing was not just to make the workers sick but disable the ammunition if the guards weaponry.

For terrydon97, here is a patent on smart guns that indicates they have the technology to make guns inoperable via a network. appft.uspto.gov... uns%22&OS=%22smart+guns%22&RS=%22smart+guns%22

Let me guess.....

This paper isn’t available to the public and only for your imaginary “think tank”?

Yet this is not what you were talking about.

Post the paper.

Guns don't use gunpowder anymore.

Your link isn’t working.

And you weren’t talking about patents on future firearms, you were talking current firearms. Big difference.

no you can find it through google. I just gave you a link to a smart gun patent that uses ping (cell towers sim chip type pings) to disable and enable a gun remotely.

Which is still not something you can retrofit.

So you can’t prove it?

Kind of typical for you.

A link that doesn’t work and is about FUTURE smart firearms, NOT current firearms.

Fail.

We have also been told this is not Smart Guns, or something patented
Now there is a patent for the smart guns we are not talking about.

Just another of the OPs many falsehoods.

It’s almost like he forgets what he types.

Think there are modifications to smart gun technology that could be used but not making it a fully smart gun.

It is interesting to read these patent papers to see what is being invented out there.

It was Terry who got me thinking about patents so I have been reading through some of them and boy all that this guy shared, which was little in the way of how if fully works, is capable.

Circuitry through the composite frames and integrated circuits running into the firing assembly.

This stuff is real.

And has nothing to do with anything in your OP.

You stated it was “soon to be passed”. It’s not. You admitted to making it up.

You stated it was about current firearms, but now you’re on about patents for smart weapons.

Add in the other technological flaws and you not believing maths is correct, and you have a big, fat hoax.

That GPS and fingerprint scanners exist?

That there are guns which operate in the manner from the OP. Prove that.
