How many times can CNN 'mess up' whilst we all 'move on'? By your reasoning there should be no accountability at all, right?
I did not say that.
This really is not a joke, even if it is being expressed through memes and humour.
Ya. Way to hold CNN accountable...through memes.
That will show em.
CNN is, like almost all media, primarily about image, or optics as has become the new term.
Its image is being eroded as surely as the beaches not far from my house. That is when the advertisers start to have second thoughts.
Not to mention any "official" measures that this may provoke.
Lol, you ask what Democrats have to do with this, then talk about investigations.
Yeah , CNN are getting hits... because they are in the spot light for being fake news pushers and blackmailers. Whenever a disaster strikes people tune in - it is truly funny to see people like Stelter being so upset by it all. If you really want to see an echo chamber you only need to switch on CNN for 10 minutes.
But hey, carry on believing that social media is insignificant at forming public opinion. Whenever the left or their propaganda outlets like CNN lose, they try to play it down as if it's nothing. If it helps ease the pain - good.

Sure. Advertisers may have second thoughts, until they notice CNN's rating are trending higher and such.

Exactly. I don't understand why everyone can't see it that way. Maybe if Fox News had threatened a liberal we would all be in agreement

You clearly don't understand do you?
Go to Twitter and hit the magnifying glass and type: "#" without the quotes. Number 3 is #CNNBlackmail. It's not CNN is great journalists or CNN rocks, it's CNN blackmail. The third most discussed topic right now with the millions of accounts is how CNN blackmailed someone who posted a childish meme.
Advertisers are seeing this. This in no way helps CNN, not even if you closed your eyes, plugged your ears and existed exclusively in your own head will change this reality.

Probably CNN Twitter accounts.
Once quality branding goes you are left with home network style advertising and on and on it goes. TV has been losing the battle to internet for some years now but the msm is still largely dependent on TV advertising.
