I missed this in either O or Carson's statements.

So are underage girls smuggled into the US to work as prostitutes but they are not in the same frame of mind as someone who got a visa to work or study in the US.

Yes but those in the belly of boats didn't have the idea that they were going to a land of milk and honey. That is where they differ.

Carson isn't the best speaker, but he is very intelligent. And you are right, Obama was very secretive about that oddly other students didn't remember him either.

Could be but I'm commenting on the statements themselves.

I don't have a problem with the part that says slaves were immigrants.

I think it was stupid to imply that they spent the trip daydreaming about how great it was going to be when they got to wherever they were going when they had no idea where they were headed.

That makes just enough difference in the two statements.

That’s what America is about, a land of dreams and opportunity. There were other immigrants who came here in the bottom of slave ships, worked even longer, even harder for less.

Carson is the wrong kind of Black, they on the left would refer to him as an Uncle Tom so they hate anything he says while Obama can say the same thing and get cheers.
