What gets my goat is the very apparent fact that we didn't need Obama and we don't need Trump to finally once and for all fix the mess we call healthcare.

A challenge as it were,

Take a few moments and look up anti-competitive, anti-monopolistic, price fixing, price collusion and general consumer law not only at federal level but also at state level.

I found that the responsibility lies with local, state and federal district attorney's who refuse to uphold the law.

This is the key.

Not insurance
Not universal care
Not legislation

The laws exist to fix this but nobody seems to ever get to root problem.

More insurance or universal care will just lead to higher and higher costs until entire federal budget and everybody's household budget is overtaken in a few short years.

Alas most have political blindness and cannot grasp that healthcare is a criminal enterprise charging easily 2/3 rds. more than it should.

This problem and root cause is beyond partisanship and needs to be spotlighted to general public.

this will be as true as:

1> processing $hillary
2> "illegal" deportation task team
3> "Mexico paying for the wall"
4> getting rid of big Corps influence from the government

its good watching the people fall for it, then 2 weeks later the excuses and the "Hillary" comparisons later.
this time the excuses will be by comparing this new lie to the ACA.

so health care for "everyone" , is there an * (asterisk) at the end of "everyone"
there will be in 3 weeks in a press meeting

My wife retired from the education system after 20 years and has us great healthcare. I work at a very large multinational corporation that has been great to work for. A few weeks ago they sent a questioner out to people that didn't take their healthcare asking lots of questions well beyond just where I am getting my coverage. I filled out the basics and returned the form. Last Wednesday's letter demanded the information I felt they didn't need. My response was that my wife has demined your request for further personal information. I cannot divulge information they want without giving hers out too. Personal questions on how many trips to what Dr's and how much of our monthly expensed do we spend on healthcare.

What has Trump done? He's not the one putting this plan onto paper, his lawyers and legal team are and I guarantee you they're in the insurance companies' pockets just like Obama's people were.

Let's see what the plan says before we start calling it the greatest thing since sliced bread. For all we know it's not going to be any better than Obamacare, but then again it might be good. Let's not count our chickens before they hatch though, that usually just leads to disappointment.

The eggs I buy are not capable of making a chicken because they have been refrigerated. I count on buying chickens at the store.

Obamacare isn't working, the price is rising too fast. Socialized healthcare should be the way we go but it appears it will never happen. Too much money to be made off of sick people and too many brainwashed people who believe socialized medicine is inferior. I wonder how the Pharma and medical industries pulled that deception off, I know people who live in Canada and in Europe and they have good healthcare. Here you have to go to the doctors two or three times before they do anything.
in China they wait till right before the chick hatches to suck it out the shell. Not sure how you count that.

Trump was doing more as a candidate then some presidents did in a year. Plural, as in more than one.

He didn't DO anything. He talked a lot, he said a lot of words, made a lot of promises
yeah, I know, he sat in his tower and talked.
Get with it, please.

Please ,tell me what he did for the country more than the last three presidents? Examples
well, for one, if memory serves me correct Bush Jr was on vacation for the first 9 months of his presidency, so, there's that.

Yup. Been shooting that mouth off all summer and he's still doing it. Tweet tweet

Humans have a brain composition similar to a pigs brain but it is wired similar to a birds brain. Tweet Tweet isn't too far off of an assessment.

Insurance for everybody? Well, that's what Obamacare is trying to do so why get rid of it?

Obama did not fight for the public option. He dropped it like a hot potato.

Honestly, in 2000, Trump advocated for a universal healthcare system, like Canada's.

Perhaps he can do better than the ACA which is cost-prohibitive to many people and therefore not accessible to everyone.

On phone so linking not good here,

Suggest reading today's "The Market Ticker"

Karl Denninger nails heat care issue far better than I could.

The rest of folks to lazy to read can continue right along with partisan bickering, inuendo and finger pointing.

When the asteroid of insolvency strikes blame no one but yourselves and don't expect me to pay for it either.

..............‘insurance for everybody’

from what I am thinking...... the Trump Slogan Does Not Mean a-one-size-fits-all kind of plan

I think a Menu of plans but with Caps on costs, co-pays, fee rates, deductibles...unlike the former bundle of chaos designed for & by the benefit of the Industry of Medical practices

Trumps' got a business man's mind not a political based mind... Trump has a vision...the Obama model was created by the Deep & Shadow Government Globalist Elites & Obama was the one to sign-it-into-law

(I may be late to the game with this one but I couldn't resist- didn't read the whole thread before responding. By the way, that was one of your funniest comments ever!)

Thats going to piss liberals off to no end. If people read obamacare they would notice it benefits insurance companies. Ending their state monopolies and allowing them all to compete nationwide would be beneficial and thats something Trump wants done.

Fix the parts that are broke and keep the parts that work.

It REALLY WONT "piss off liberals" because we've been WANTING to fix things that were not working for everyone for YEARS. My own posting history is proof of that.

If he does what Reps refused to do for years then more power to him. My goal is healthcare for all people so if he pulls that out of his golden dome I'm going to be impressed. I will be frustrated at the partisan hypocracy, but we all do that.

The only way to cap premiums, co-pays, deductibles, etc is to regulate every aspect of healthcare. We're talking going so far as to regulate how much med schools can charge for tuition. By the time everything would be said and done we'd essentially have socialized healthcare in everything but name. Now I and many others have no problem with that. The Republicans however have been vehemently opposed to anything even approaching socialism for a while now.

all the haters and even many of the fanboys/girls dont understand Trump at all. You cannot play politics "straight". If you want to think of Trump as a con man fine....i consider your skepticism and criticism empty and lacking in substance and facts. You all are the same lot that said it was impossible for him to win and slandered and maligned his run every step of the way. He consistently proved all the naysayers wrong and i believe unless he is taken out he will continue to do so.

there are MANY ways to skin a cat. Remember that. Its sad so many people are limited in their thinking and have no imagination....but its the reality we live.

i myself can conceive of at least 2 or 3 practical ways america could have totally free health care. Trump will probably not use any of my ideas....but he could.

Oh! SO, does that mean that Trump has two policy positions on issues, one public and one private?

Before the Unaffordable Care Act, 88% of Americans were satisfied with the Insurance that they had. ObamaCare was literally a Trillion Dollar program designed to help relatively few Americans. Getting rid of a wasp nest by burning down the house.

We have a slew of 100 plus year old laws on the books requiring no further legislative action that applied would quite nicely cause self regulation.

No need to further involve government than that.

Golly just require it do its currently tasked job.

youre demonstrating exactly the kind of severely limited and unimaginative thinking i was describing....its called an all or nothing fallacy, black and white thinking, etc...

youre point is depending on either one or the other thing being true without giving due consideration for a 3rd, 4th or more options.

have you considered that Trump is a pragmatist and will play "the game" of politics to make happen what he wants or what needs to happen? that means he may use many of the same tools and rhetoric other politicians, including Clinton have used. We dont have to like it....i certainly dont. I would prefer a political system that rewards honesty and consistency.....but thats not what we have. And something else Trump has to worry about that Clinton didnt is the united front of opposition he faces that is completely unprecedented in American history except for maybe Lincoln himself on the issue of keeping the Union together....and if you recall what Lincoln said about slavery not being the most important thing, i guess a person like you would say he also had a public and private opinion or was being duplicitous. He was in fact, merely being pragmatic for the sake of keeping the Union together and slavery was a tool he could use, or exploit, to that end.

and history remembers Lincoln how?

so there you go.

Insurance along with medical and pharma was overpriced before Obama - all he did was floor the accelerator that had been at fast cruise.

At 20% plus of GDP and rising at 9% or more per year it's not hard to see where non cost control bandaid will get us - do the math!

The only out is to apply existing USC 15 laws and stop the stupidity.

People are so gullible. Until he shows a concrete plan to replace Obamacare, he has nothing.

Like I mentioned before, a Trump presidency is going to amount to a lot of deaths.

Insurance for everybody? Well, that's what Obamacare is trying to do so why get rid of it? Oh right, they don't like Obama because reasons so it has to go. Fun fact, Obamacare is very similar to health coverage former GOP'ers wanted to enact in the past so it's funny to see them now say how much they don't like it.

But at the end of the day, Trump has no plan and millions will be given the middle finger because of partisan politics.

Well...to make you feel better, I've got a finger for you
But seriously...Obamacare sucks in every way possible and you are absolutely right that no one on the right wants Obama's name anywhere near the new insurance. He and his minions were the only ones who voted for Obamacare, without knowing what it was and it turned out to be a bunch of BS according to the marketer. I'll be happy to see it's failure owned only by the left and every memory of this failed president swept under the rug or out the door.

But now comes Trump! Sweeping away more of Obama's crap (almost a full time job) and replacing it with insurance for everyone. Well...hopefully that is a lie. There shouldn't be insurance for illegals but they will be out the door soon enough. But what I really, really hope is the Trump forces government employees, including congress, etc. to be on this new insurance...unlike Obama did because he knew it was only meant for the livestock...no the "real human beings".

Mr. Trump...keep up the great work! Keep your promises...keep pissing off our enemies (the left) and keep your attitude and path. You're on the right one...never question yourself. It is only the anti-American scum that wants you to fail. The rest of us want you to succeed and believe you will. We've got your back!
