People have probably said just about everything on TV at some point. UFO nuts, and extreme leftists who have complete contempt for America go on TV.

That's one definition of secularism. It's also a person who just kind of doesn't like religion.
Moore has basically called religion an entity used just to control the masses. To me, that's not just calling for the seperation of church and state, it's showing complete distaste for religion.
Democratic Socialism is mostly known as a secular government elected by the people with a socially-oriented free market economy. Socialism has many faces and I believe this is the best form of government today. Even the US has some socialist policies and every western nation has them as well.
You can't have a socially-oriented free market economy. It's just a way for Europeans to get away with being like the Soviets without actually calling themselves the same thing.
Capitalism means no government control over the economy where I come from. A government that goes around taxing and setting standards and regulations on everything is not capitalist.
And yes, America, and the West in general, have been adopting socialist policies. It's been screwing over all the economies at the same time. Canada and Europe's economies are generally awful. Many in America want to take it down the same path.
Nevertheless, Moore doesn't call for conversions of hundreds of millions to christianity does he? he respects people's right to religion even if he may disagree with the evangelical right and their politicial agenda.
Like he respects small businesses? What did he say again? Bring on the shackles?
Extreme leftists are the closest thing the Western world has to nazism, and Moore is pretty close to fitting the bill.

Coulter: "Canada used to be one of our most loyal friends and vice-versa. I mean Canada sent troops to Vietnam - was Vietnam less containable and more of a threat than Saddam Hussein?"
McKeown interrupts: "Canada didn't send troops to Vietnam."
Coulter: "I don't think that's right."
McKeown: "Canada did not send troops to Vietnam."
Coulter (looking desperate): "Indochina?"
McKeown: "Uh no. Canada ...second World War of course. Korea. Yes. Vietnam No."
Coulter: "I think you're wrong."
McKeown: "No, took a pass on Vietnam."
Coulter: "I think you're wrong."
McKeown: "No, Australia was there, not Canada."
Coulter: "I think Canada sent troops."
McKeown: "No."
Coulter: "Well. I'll get back to you on that."
McKeown tags out in script:
"Coulter never got back to us -- but for the record, like Iraq, Canada sent no troops to Vietnam."

It was sort of true. 10,000 Candians signed up for the American forces. That's probably more then Canada could have actually deployed if they did decide to send troops.
