Nah, it's equality for even those guys. The truth is, despite these labels of fascism or socialist and all the ridiculous history changing antics of conservatives. The truth is conservatives are always the side that is racist, always the side fearful of outsiders, always the side suppressing rights, and always favoring greed. Basically the horrible side. That's just truth.

I am not entirely certain you understand socialism.

Take it from socialist Eric v.d. Luft. in "The Socialist Reader".

...
2. The Abolition of Private Property

An examination of the current notions regarding the socialist view about private property and what is indeed the real view is equally enlightening. The common idea is that socialism proposes to abolish private property. That is no less mistaken than is the view that socialism and anarchism are one and the same thing. Private property in one of its aspects is a limitation of the liberty of the woods, under which he who had the power took what he wanted, and of the struggle for life - although it may be used to revive this ancient form of liberty and this objectionable method of selection. It puts an end to the strife of keeping - although it might be used to exploit...

The Socialist Reader

Of course, socialists try to brainwash you into believing that "in order to be free you have to free yourself from private property"... They would entice the ignorant reader into believing that having individual rights is counter productive to the individual and as such to society in general...

Socialism, social and economic doctrine that calls for public rather than private ownership or control of property and natural resources. According to the socialist view, individuals do not live or work in isolation but live in cooperation with one another. Furthermore, everything that people produce is in some sense a social product, and everyone who contributes to the production of a good is entitled to a share in it. Society as a whole, therefore, should own or at least control property for the benefit of all its members.
...

www.britannica.com...

You can try to claim that "oh but there are two kind of private property and socialists only wish to abolish certain private property..." or make similar claims. But socialism is today what it was 40 years ago. The same claims are made, and new excuses invented to take away rights.

Really ?

Think making them shelling out 70 to 90 percent of their incomes is 'equality' ?

And calling that a 'fair' tax.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.

That is deflection.

I think the differences were articulated quite well. I never said "oh but there are two kind of private property and socialists only wish to abolish certain private property...".

My statement stands. Trying to obfuscate the issue with things I never claimed does not make a legitimate rebuttal.

You never wrote it on this thread but it is the response from socialists these days.

It sounds like a modern day scam where people are told "to become free you have to give up all materialism. You can transfer all your material possessions to my "not-for -profit business" (nevermind that my name is in there) and you will take your first step in the ladder that will unify all human beings into the collective".

It's all mind games, obfuscating the truth with half truths, and with pretty words trying to make people give up their rights, and their possessions. After all, who wouldn't be moved by "doing good for all of humanity/the collective"? Even at the cost of individual rights. Well, at least those that don't know any better and don't have experience with socialism and/or communism.

I see your game of redirection. By equality I'm referring to Civil Rights. You know, that argument that conservatives are always on the wrong side of.

Funny how conservatives have no problems with inequality, racism, people in need, war, torture, all things traditionally evil.... but touch their money, and the fight is on. Ahhh that love of money..... there's a saying about that... What is it again.....?

Yeah well there friend.

Rich people, gun owners, bankers, ceo's have civil RIGHTS too.

Just because their not a protected class of the left doesn't mean they don't.

As Aristotle once said:

The worst form of inequality is to try to make unequal things equal.

Sure.

I understand the taxation quite well.

Stocks are taxed at the capitol gains rate. It was increased because the mob wanted it. That wasn't good enough new taxes were created like the capitol gain medicare surtax. Then another tax was created called the alternative minimum tax to make them evil rich people 'pay their fair share'.

That is ON TOP of employers ALREADY matching that contribution.

Past quadruple taxation now.

Thanks lefties.

Civil RIGHTS really mean something to them eh.

I cannot be questioned on or held accountable for the comments of others.

It may be the modus operandi of modern-day scammers, but it has nothing to do with modern socialism.

It's all mind games, obfuscating the truth with half truths, and with pretty words trying to make people give up their rights

Do you think that is limited to socialist ideas?

Is the Patriot Act a socialist idea?

Beginning to see the difference?

Even at the cost of individual rights.

Can you honestly say on this forum, in which many know the truth about what has happened over the last 15 years, that no other form of governance can take individual rights away from the people except socialism?

Its time to extract myself from the conversation here. Good luck to you all.

Except that rich people do want such socialist utopia. After all, they would be/are in charge of the state, and not the people.

But anyway, we are really getting off tangent.

Let's go back to the topic. Hitler's regime was socialist. I even presented the 25 points of Hitler's Nazy party.

The 25 Points of Hitler's Nazi Party
...

7. We demand that the State shall above all undertake to ensure that every citizen shall have the possibility of living decently and earning a livelihood....

10. ...No individual shall do any work that offends against the interest of the community to the benefit of all.

Therefore we demand:

11. That all unearned income, and all income that does not arise from work, be abolished.

12. ...We therefore demand the total confiscation of all war profits.

13. We demand the nationalization of all trusts.

14. We demand profit-sharing in large industries.
...
16. We demand the creation and maintenance of a sound middle-class, the immediate communalization of large stores which will be rented cheaply to small tradespeople, and the strongest consideration must be given to ensure that small traders shall deliver the supplies needed by the State, the provinces and municipalities.

17. We demand an agrarian reform in accordance with our national requirements, and the enactment of a law to expropriate the owners without compensation of any land needed for the common purpose. The abolition of ground rents, and the prohibition of all speculation in land.

18. We demand that ruthless war be waged against those who work to the injury of the common welfare. Traitors, usurers, profiteers, etc., are to be punished with death, regardless of creed or race.

20. In order to make it possible for every capable and industrious German to obtain higher education, and thus the opportunity to reach into positions of leadership, the State must assume the responsibility of organizing thoroughly the entire cultural system of the people. The curricula of all educational establishments shall be adapted to practical life. The conception of the State Idea (science of citizenship) must be taught in the schools from the very beginning. We demand that specially talented children of poor parents, whatever their station or occupation, be educated at the expense of the State.
...
The party as such represents the point of view of a positive Christianity without binding itself to any one particular confession. It fights against the Jewish materialist spirit within and without, and is convinced that a lasting recovery of our folk can only come about from within on the principle:

COMMON GOOD BEFORE INDIVIDUAL GOOD

25. In order to carry out this program we demand: the creation of a strong central authority in the State, the unconditional authority by the political central parliament of the whole State and all its organizations.

The formation of professional committees and of committees representing the several estates of the realm, to ensure that the laws promulgated by the central authority shall be carried out by the federal states.

The leaders of the party undertake to promote the execution of the foregoing points at all costs, if necessary at the sacrifice of their own lives.

But the above is right wing?...
