POLICE investigating the Paris terror attacks have shut down three mosques in a series of raids to close the net on Islamic extremists.
By Felipe Araujo

...
Security officials found jihadist documents at the mosque where yesterday's raids took place.

They have placed nine people under house arrest. Another 22 have been banned from leaving the country Mr Cazeneuve said.

France has been under a state of emergency since 130 people were killed in a series of terror attacks in Paris on November 13. Since then, some 2,235 homes and buildings have been raided, 232 people taken into custody, and 334 weapons confiscated.

Cazeneuve said the number of weapons apprehended so far is staggering.

He said: "In 15 days we have seized one-third of the quantity of war-grade weapons that are normally seized in a year."

France, a country with very heavy firearm restrictions yet they find in 15 days over 334 weapons, and Islamic radical documents praising ISIS, and their terrorist jihad.

I thought banning certain firearms, and heavily restricting others stopped criminals, and extremists from obtaining firearms? It doesn't seem to be the case.

Who knows how many more mosques the French authorities would have to close down? And after all, now they are warned that French authorities are raiding mosques, and houses of radicalized Muslims.

In the United States we had a similar attack, using similar weapons and instead of blaming Islamic radicalism for these attacks the left wing media, and even officially sites like ATS try to deflect these facts and try to instead focus the blame on Americans who lean to the right in politics.

Left wing extremism? Naa... apparently the mostly left wing media wants to ignore it.

Let's take a look at left wing extremist attacks that left wing media has tried to blame on right wing Americans, or simply "white radicals".

Christopher Sean Harper-Mercer

Mercer, among others, has been labeled by the left wing media as a white supremacist, when he was black, and had even defended the actions of another black left wing extremist and even hurled anti-white racist comment in social media.

According to left wing media LATimes.

Deadliest U.S. mass shootings | 1984-2015

...
Christopher Sean Harper-Mercer shot and killed eight fellow students and a teacher at Umpqua Community College. Authorities described Harper-Mercer, who recently had moved to Oregon from Southern California, as a “hate-filled” individual with anti-religion and white supremacist leanings who had long struggled with mental health issues. He owned 14 weapons, all purchased legally. Harper-Mercer, 26, killled himself after exchanging gunfire with deputies.

Another far left mass murderer.
Last night 22 year-old Elliot Rodger went on a shooting spree in Santa Barbara killing six people.
...
Elliot Rodger posted a crazy video before his mass killing spree titled, “Elliot Rodger Retribution”.

And, Elliot Rodger was a fan of the far left “Young Turks” YouTube Channel.
The Young Turks was one of his favorited channels.
The Young Turk describes itself asa young progressive or insurgent member of an institution.
The host of the channel Cenk Uygur is a far left political activist and former MSNBC host.

On YouTube, Loughner's profile listed Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels's "The Communist Manifesto" and Adolf Hitler's "Mein Kampf" among his favorite books. He also included high school English class classics such as "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "The Old Man and the Sea," plus children's works such as Aesop's fables and "The Phantom Tollbooth."

In one video, titled "America: Your last memory in a terrorist country!," a figure in dark clothing and a smiley-face mask burns an American flag in the desert. The soundtrack is a 2001 song by the band Drowning Pool, in which the singer repeatedly shrieks "Let the bodies hit the floor!"

Unabomber Theodore Kaczynski

Did Liberal Extremism Produce The Unabomber?
BY CAL THOMAS
Posted: April 15, 1996
...
Kaczynski went to an Earth First! meeting at the University of Montana where a ``hit list'' of ``enemies'' of the environment was distributed. Environmentalism is usually associated with people of liberal political persuasion. Two of the individuals on the Earth First! hit list were killed by bombs presumed to have been mailed by Kaczynski.

Kaczynski attended Harvard, generally considered an institution of liberal political and social thought. Were his radical views incubated on the banks of the Charles River in Cambridge?

He also taught at the University of California at Berkeley, the mecca of liberalism in the '60s.

Since liberals try to establish a cause-and-effect relationship between speech and action, where are their cries against radical extremism now that one of their own is implicated in the horrid deed of bombs by mail? Why not denounce liberal institutions that turn out people like this? Where are the warnings about Earth-Firsters who see the planet as something sacred and those they claim violate it as infidels worthy of death?

Have there been white supremacists who have also murdered innocents? Sure, recent ones include:

Robert Lewis Dear, the PP shooter.

Dylann Storm Roof the shooter at a historic black church in Charleston, S.C.

and Wade Michael Page.

But how many others were left leaning, and/or Islamic extremists and left leaning?

The most recent atrocious act was committed by Islamic radicals and the official posture of the mass media and ATS is to deflect the facts and instead keep on bashing Americans with a political leaning to the right?

Over on the other thread every Right-leaning member is frothing whilst the Left-leaners are chuckling merrily. "I vote GOP, how dare you say I'm an extremist!" Nobody actually did. I guess we'll be playing swapsies in this one huh? "I vote Dems, how dare you call me an extremist!"

The keyword that each partisan side keeps ignoring in their leaps at being offended is 'extremist.'

Voting Liberal doesn't make someone an extremist anymore than voting Republican makes someone an extremist. An extremist is an asshole in any demographic no matter what their political persuasion is, what colour the skin or whether they pray to Allah or God.

By what kind of warped logic do you put left leaning extremists and Islamic extremists in the same category?

Islamic extremists are as conservative as they come... If they said 'God' instead of 'Allah', then most right wing extremists would probably totally be in support of them.

I think the important thing to highlight there is BOTH sides have this affliction. Each side has different beliefs, neither side is superior.

This country (and others), will be better when we stop looking for the problems in someone else's party and look for the problems in ours.

I could be wrong, but I thought he was saying left wing extremism in America makes it impossible to tackle the problem. France went head on and did raids. In America you're an Islamophobe if you suggest that.

Islamic extremism is not left wing, but religious extremism, motivated by the interpretation of Islamic religion.

FARC rebels in Columbia would be a good example of left wing extremists, motivated by the revolutionary ideas of Marx. There are many more around the world again motivated by Marxist or Maoist ideology not religious ideology. Marxists aren't too fond of religious ideology. The opiate of the masses Marx labelled religion

Yeah, people (members) keep slipping into more extreme roles to avoid conceding any ground or even sharing common ground. It's reckless and inevitably escalates conflict.

Still, even today, I'm watching posts by members of great intelligence and experience. So many are frothing and arguing over their own straw men and it's ludicrous. The temperature is getting high : )

The Left/Right opposition ignores the fact that most people are in the middle of the political bell curve and have shared values. We're running the risk of becoming the 'extremist' that we hate so much.

Really? That's not what CAIR says...

American Muslims in Politics

By Abdus Sattar Ghazali
American Muslims in 2012 election

More than 85 percent of American Muslim voters picked President Obama in November 6, 2012 election, according to an exit poll released by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s leading Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization. It may be recalled that a similar CAIR exit poll in 2008 showed that 89 percent of American Muslim voters picked then-candidate Barack Obama. Two percent of respondents said they voted for Sen. John McCain. The CAIR’s informal survey of more than 650 American Muslim voters indicates that just four percent of respondents cast their ballots for the Republican presidential hopeful, Mitt Romney. The Poll findings indicated that 95.5 of the registered Muslim voters went to the polls on November 6. 85.7 percent cast their ballots to re-elect President Obama while only 4.4 percent of respondents said they voted for Mitt Romney. Just over two percent (2.2) of respondents said they voted for Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson while the same percentage (2.2) voted for Green Party candidate Jill Stein.

Muslims tend to be pro-left wing, this comes from what Muslims themselves have to say.

Also, if you were to look at the politics in Muslim countries a great majority are for "social justice" and tend to be socialistic.

It's not in our natures imo. Maybe we all aspire to a neutral 'best for all' style of politics and yet there are few, if any, examples of it occurring.

Most people want the same things and they get whipped up into taking sides by people who wouldn't have a role without them. Such is life...

Muslims vote Liberal. So as a group they tend to be off limits, which includes the extremists in America. It's not PC.

I am not bashing all Muslims. But because a majority of them tend to lean to the left in politics it's only natural that the majority of Islamic radicals happen to also be pro-left wing.

Also, never have i, or will I condone any violence against Muslims, or left wingers in general. However, it is extremely ironic that left wing extremism is on the overall ignored by the mass left wing media. Even ATS has done this.

The most recent murders were committed by Radical Muslims, but instead we get NLBS trying to deflect this fact and instead continue to focus on attacking Americans with right wing leanings to the point of demonizing, and equating the undercover videos of PP as "right wing extremism/right wing terrorism".

The Obama administration itself views the pro-life movement, among other right leaning Americans as "possible extremists/possible terrorists." Yet the fact that more murders have been committed by left wingers continue to be ignored, and instead left wing media tries to blame Americans with a right wing leaning, even equating white supremacists views with conservatives and republicans.

Yes, people who commit atrocious acts against others should not be condoned just because they are a minority. But this claim that the majority of terrorist attacks are from right wingers and there is no "radical Islam threat", just proves that the media, and the government in office right now are not only very biased, but they want to concentrate on bashing Americans for having a political view that leans to the right, and not on grounds of actual acts of violence and hatred.

I don't think Muslims generally fall across the political axis of Right v Left. Compare Turkey with Saudi Arabia or Qatar with Malaysia - very different societies under Islamic rule. The religious denomination (sects etc) seem to mix with culture to dictate policies.

The first part of the OP was covered in this thread a few days ago:

Three mosques shut down in anti-terror raids as officers seize 330 war weapons - France

Now let's take a look at your text wall:

and white supremacist leanings

1. I think it's pretty ironic that you correctly identify white supremacy with right-wing extremism.
2. The white supremacist bit comes from the fact that he apparently left hate filled writings where he "espoused racial hatred" and "animosity toward black males."
3. Why don't you open that link to the conservative treehouse and actually read it? These are the same clowns who falsely accused CNN of altering his pictures.

Elliot Rodger

What does it matter if his Facebook profile listed the Young Turks as his favorite YouTube channel? He left a video explaining exactly what he was doing and why he was doing it and it had nothing to do with politics and everything to do with sexual frustration. Seems to be a running theme with mass shooters?

Nidal Hasan

Not a registered Democrat, this is a work of fiction. debunked

Jared Loughner

Another favorite book of his was Mein Kampf. Again, read the article you linked:

"In the video, he claims that the College is illegal according to the U.S. Constitution, and makes other claims," the college's statement said.

Should we draw any inference from that?

James J. Lee

I guess we can call him a left wing extremist because he was a militant environmentalist? He hated civilization though so I'm assuming he hated everyone but hey — you obviously associate right wing ideology with a lack of concern for the environment!

Your link from Joe the lying douche bag fake plumber turned "news source" has been thoroughly debunked MANY MANY MANY MANY times (check the link by Nidal Hasan for one). The fact that you're still running around believing it shows how ill informed and ready to believe baseless propaganda you are.
