One word dude..... Canada.
We're right in between with guns(loads of them but not in love). And you'd get our system easier.

Yeah but wouldn't he have to pretend to like ice hockey?

You're damn right I'm bigoted against Trump, I have limits.

He's free to spout whatever nonsense he likes, such is the joy of free speech. Just don't expect everyone to smile and nod politely when you start coming out with insane ideas about banning an entire group of people from a country, based only on their religious affiliations.

We're parochial maybe? And probably not very PC, we should live and let live but seriously... who in their right mind would want to be represented by him?

Trump is of course completely free to have his views just as the Scottish institutions and the Scottish people are free to want no association with him.
The bigotry remains entirely with him.

The Scottish people are intolerant of views different than theirs, ironically just like Trump. That's bigotry. It would only make it worse to lie about it.

That is true to a extent.

We are intolerant of those who are intolerant of others with no sense of irony.

The problem is you (not you personally) demand a standard from Trump yet fail to abide by the same standard.

It's called double standards and hypocrisy.

Intolerance of intolerance.
That's the claim of conservative political correctness because people don't like being called out for their bigoted views.

Google

Bigotry is a state of mind where a person obstinately, irrationally, unfairly or intolerantly dislikes other people, ideas, etc. Some examples include personal beliefs, race, religion, national origin, gender, disability, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or other group characteristics.

There is nothing obstinate, irrational, unfair or intolerant of not liking Trumps bigotry.

I don't want to associated with kl klux klan members, EDL supporters or ISIS. Being against bigotry does not mean I am a bigot.
Trump is an unashamed bigot and Scottish institutions wanting nothing to do with him is in no way bigotry.

Yes, we're quite strict at times about what is right and decent for Scotland.
We're quite a socialist country on the whole and more or less all agree on that. I don't think you could ever really claim Scotland wasn't a bigoted (in it's true sense) country, we are intolerant of lots of things.

Mouthing off against an entire religion would be one of them, idiocy would be another, but we're happy with that.

No its called not being bigots outside of a old firm game.

That is really what it boils down to, Trump does not represent Scottish values, we value tolerance towards humanities diversity.

And yes it is double standards and I don't give a monkey's

That's utterly false given that you are intolerant towards someone with different views than you. He is a part of humanity the last time I checked.

Nope.

I did forget to add that in my view Trump and his supporters are xenophobes who are no better than the likes of the KKK.

So tolerant of humanities [sic] diversity of you. You've proven yourself to be unable to support your own standards.
