This might be an indication of what he's going to talk about. That and of course the mess in the ME.

A Fed Up Obama Calls Republicans Insane For Supporting Selling Guns To Terrorists

For example, right now, people on the No-Fly list can walk into a store and buy a gun. That is insane. If you’re too dangerous to board a plane, you’re too dangerous, by definition, to buy a gun. And so I’m calling on Congress to close this loophole, now. We may not be able to prevent every tragedy, but—at a bare minimum—we shouldn’t be making it so easy for potential terrorists or criminals to get their hands on a gun that they could use against Americans.

I don't think he called them insane. Not directly. He said it was insane that...

I thin we already heard the start of this, before the shooting in SN was even cleared. He's going to claim that taking away guns keeps people safe, and that we can't blame terrorists for terror, because we must have done something to them to cause them to react that way. He'll push for a major gun grab, a list calling average Americans terrorists will be revised, groups actually more likely to be terrorists will be protected, and he might toss in hints of suspending elections if things are too tense.

That's my prediction.

You yanks... someone says ''gun control'' you immediately jump to the worst possible conclusion '' they want to take away my god damn guns... ''

Why shouldn't we ?

Our government is a weapon of mass destruction, and doesn't give a crap who gets caught in the cross fire or the collateral damage that is done.

He can not without an amendment to the constitution, but is fun to talk about it, even if is just for fun, I wish he could try to do it using his executive power.

They are trying to do that now.

With that end run around the bill of rights, and the 14th amendments with that 'Suspected' terrorists on 'no fly' lists be banned from gun ownership.

Of course everyone paying attention to everyone on the lists DID NOT do anything wrong or can even be proven.

Hence the 'suspected' part.

Funny though isn't it?

The so called loudest champions of civil liberties don't give a rats snip when it comes to gun owners.

Does anybody know if Mr. O can ADD to the Watch List or No-Fly List with just the stroke of his Mighty Pen? In other words, could he singularly decide that if you are a member of say...just for grins and giggles...the NRA, you are to be put on that list.

so, if you are on the no-fly list and therefore cannot buy guns, can you hire the people and guns?? I mean there's been a few congressmen on that no fly list. if they can't buy guns they shouldn't be able to hire the body guards that carry them also, right? tell ya what, clean up that no fly list so that only those who are known to be a threat are on it then we'll talk about banning them from gun. as it is no, you are probably banning some young children from having them (do believe there are already laws forbidding guns to be sold to minors) since there's been a few kids who have been found to be on the no fly list.

I think it's higher too, but considering the current gunphobia climate ownership is not something one should admit.

The Browns shirts are on the march.

I didn't mean to bring up that discussion..there's a thread on that.

That was just his weekly weekend statement, and it may be part of what he discusses tonight...though I guess I'm leaning more toward the mess in the ME.

Oh yes, it is. Taking away guns reduces fatalities, that's a simple statistical fact (re-check the graph I presented).

I don't see a source for the study from your link, but looking at that graph it doesn't say anything about fatalities before or after guns were taken away.

However what I see from that graph is that fatalities are still occurring but instead of guns they are doing it via other means, which re enforces my point. Where there is a will there is a way.

Further more, despite making guns illegal it appears from your graph that gun deaths are still occurring. Again re-enforcing my point.

Also, it's totally inacceptable for any civilised person to assume he or she can be the sole judge, jury and executioner of another person.

I disagree, If I'm in my home asleep and find someone invading my property and putting my family at risk I have every right to be the sole judge and jury to protect my family.

I'm not saying things aren't out of control, but the real issue is far greater than just guns.

Guns also allow for equality, while I feel confident in my abilities to protect myself without a gun perhaps a disabled person or an older person might not.

A couple of years back a neighbourhood across from our area had an elder armed disabled veteran protect his life when his home was invaded by several robbers. While another family who did not have guns got slaughtered when the father took out the garbage and the criminals Sneaked in the house .

The point is not to say that guns only provide a value, but rather that there is value to owning a gun to protect you and your family.

In a life or death situation I don't want wait for the cops to show up.

i think that he will blame the whole thing on an office christmas fight saying that farook was cforced to attend and that because of this he felt his rights as a muslim were violated so he decided to punish the ones who forced him to go then he will announce more gun control to make sure mass shootings don't happen again. i pray i am wrong that he tells the truth about this incident but he probably won't because it would mean our gov is fallible

And that it has not avoid him from making stupid mistakes during this administration.

I guess even the smartest can become the dumbest when it comes to political affiliations and benefactors.

Then they call those against the no fly list that oppose the bill obstructionist,, political ramble as usual, let them have their fun, people think that one size fit all, actually if any laws are passed in regard of the no fly list it will go straight to the supreme court as a violation of the second amendment.

That is why I try no to say anything when it comes to the bashing of that bill. Because anybody can be in that no fly list.

I was put on that list once and stopped at an airport on the way out. I also had multiple IDS for multiple gov't agencies and private agencies in my backpack because clients I was doing work with. When they found those IDs the look in their face totally changed.

It was not fun as I watched the plane fly away and was escorted by officers. It turned out that someone that was on the list had my name. I think it might have been also Identify theft as it turned out that several years later my identify was stolen.

My prediction:

He will candidly speak about the origins of the extremist problem in the Middle East and acknowledge western imperialism as a primary culprit. Then he will speak of a concentrated effort with a coalition to truly wipe it out. This means "boots on the ground" and a full invasion of regions under the Daesh control.

In other words, I think it will be a confession of wrongdoing on America's behalf and also a declaration of war.

Obama admitting he armed ISIS?
Benghazi?

And admitting he was wrong?

From Obama ?......not likely....

Obama is never 'wrong'.

Correct.

Sad truth is that he seems to be doing this on purpose.
